I need two nations that want to hold a Nanotech corporation in their countries.

Depends on the specifics of said corporation.

Africa's a big market, though, so you wouldn't be going wrong choosing the SSIC.

Yea I did take uk. Also if I recall Louisiana doesn't have oil in any amount. So......

'Louisiana contains just under 10 percent of all known U.S. oil reserves and is the country's third largest producer of petroleum. Its reserves of natural gas are even larger and it produces just over one-quarter of all U.S. supplies. Louisiana also has immense quantities of salt contained in huge underground formations, some of which are a mile across and up to 50,000 feet deep and produce almost 100 percent pure rock salt. The first sulphur mined in America came from Louisiana and the state is still a principal producer of the mineral.'

True, but Mechs are already starting to be developed, same thing with Exo skeletons and Power suits. If you want proof (It is real):Or

No one's disputing the exoskeletons of course, but mechwarrior style mechs are seriously pushing it in my opinion. Of course, I'm not the GM, so if they give it a pass then hey, whateva.

The mech you linked there isn't much more than a glorified, ultra-expensive toy though.
Keep the rp in perspective. This only 22 years in the future.

They also have the power of slave labor.

Huh. How 'bout them apples.
Preface: I'm going to attempt to play a more powerful, federated successor to the African Union. It's massive, and I realize that, and I'd be willing to shave it down. A great deal of its constituent states are still suffering from poverty and instability, however, and it won't, as a whole, be capable of projecting much power due to this. It's much more economically powerful than the Africa of 2014, but it still has to get its affairs in order.

'Baada ya dhiki faraja.'

Name: The Sub-Saharan International Congress

Constituency:
Presiding Executive Council: South Africa, Nigeria, Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana

Member States in Good Standing: Sudan, Tanzania, Cameroon, Cote D'Ivoire, Uganda, Zambia, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Senegal, Namibia, Mauritius, Madagascar, Benin, Niger, Guinea, Malawi, Swaziland, Eritrea, Cape Verde, Djibouti, Seychelles, Gambia

Transitional Members (Ruled by SSIC Mandate): Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Chad, Mali (Civil War, SSIC Forces Deployed), Rwanda, Somalia, Burundi, Lesotho, Liberia, Guinea-Bissau, Comoros, Sao Tome and Principe

Sanctioned and Suspended Members: Mauritania (Sanctions/Intervention on Human Rights Record), Togo (Disbarred Pending Presidential Referendum), Sudan and South Sudan (Peacekeepers Deployed on Border, Both Parties Disbarred), Burkina Faso (Sanctioned Pending Illegal Constitutional Referendum/Coup), Zimbabwe (Disbarred Pending Military Coup, Intervention Proposed)

Government Type: The SSIC is a federalized inter-governmental organization composed of semi-sovereign constituent states. Openly advocates a transition to secular, capitalistic democracy among its member states. (Will expand upon this when I have the time.)

Military: (TBD. Let's just say for now that the SSIC military wears its NATO inspiration on its sleeve. It's a multinational force with each state contributing materiel and personnel. The SSIC maintains a strategic nuclear force as a 'deterrence strategy' and has banned its members from producing, importing, and using chemical and biological warfare and weaponry.)

Economy: (TBD. The SSIC boasts some of the fastest growing economies on the planet.)

Foreign Policy: (TBD. Seeks business partners worldwide. Sensitive of foreign criticism of 'domestic affairs'. Cautious of international military entanglements.)

History: (TBD. Rose from the ashes of WW3 and the collapse of all the international institutions that mattered. Its mandate is the mutual defense of all member states, the promotion of democracy and prosperity in the African continent, and the rehabilitation of African 'failed states'.)

Foes: (TBD. Friendly to all, but not exactly friends with anyone. Wary of Arab neighbors.)

Population: (TBD. It's a lot. A lot a lot.)

I would like to claim former Russian Empire lands, besides the Stans and Azerbaijan I'd also like to request what is left of the Northern Balkans, and Alaska..

There it is! Somehow I scrolled past it twice. Quite right. My bad.
I believe someone called dibs on Russia and friends in the interest check, but in the event that they decide not to pursue it or whatever I'd like to fill their shoes. Belarus, the Ukraine that Captios doesn't ... lawfully incorporate, and some Caucasus/Stan friends would probably come along too.

BB:YesSkepic:Its alright, these tend to be a bit confusing in the beginning Those are pretty core.Onto the super-states thing, I feel as if disastrous conflict tends to make nations more unious. After-all it was WW2 and the end of it that brought about the EU.

The EU isn't a single state. Do you think Poland and Germany would agree to be federalized under the same constitution in the same context? What about Japan and China?

Institutionalism is a great way to avoid conflict, hence the EU, but wounds don't heal so quick.

Nah, but if peeps want some Asian nations I can give up a few.

I'd intended to be China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Singapore but that all seems to be pretty core to your ... ultrastate(?).

I'm a bit concerned with the sheer scale of these states, given the context of disastrous war, and so I'm probably going to adopt a wait-and-see approach to making a nation. You'd think state size/organization would devolve rather than evolve, especially in such potentially fractious regions as those that've been carved up already.

In any case, I'd potentially choose Indonesia/Australia/Singapore.
