Hmmm... intriguing... i wouldn't say they are souls per say, but more like traces of where souls have been? Memory imprints? emotions... pieces of souls... rather inconclusive, but they don't register as individuals... and i shudder at the implications considering that this is the place where you saw said 'resident' just moments ago...
