Fitting Music


"The Old Man said his last prayer. He did not beg for forgiveness, for he knew their would be none. The Old Man just wanted God to know that he would accept whatever punishment there was for him. The Old Man deserved it all.
On his cabinet was his gun. A trusty six-shooter. All chambers were empty. The Old Mans hands grabbed the gun and loaded a single bullet in the weapon. Blessed by a priest, made from silver and engraved with the name of his target.
The Old Man would never forget that name. The name he said three times. The name that should have made his life better. And it did, for a price that was to costly.
The Old Man cocked the gun and left the door. To the crossroad he would go.
One last time."


The West is dangerous and untamed. Are you capable of surviving it? Its darker sides? Bullets and curses?
This Rpg plays in a world were you strike deals with the devil at crossroads, get cursed by an old gypsy lady and the natives know powerful rituals. Exorcisms are real, as well as many creatures of the night. 



"So boy you are new in Oregon? Let Old Jimmy tell you something. It is a shithole. Here in St.Nicholas, Oregon progress does not seem to come. Have you heard of this Railroad thing? Faster than any horse they say. We will see about that I say... Either way, why again are you in this shithole of a town? Hopefully just stopping by. Nobody but a fool stays in St.Nicholas, everybody passing through here is running from something. So stock up on ammo and water. And watch out for the Coquille, those Indian bastards like to off wanderers."

All characters will start in St.Nicholas, Oregon. Fate brought you here in some way or another. St.Nicholas has only one saloon so this is were you will meet. The year is 1828.
The Railroad is new and exiting, weapons are mostly colts and bold action rifles. The Wild West as you know it.



"You want to know about those things? Well... Sit back and let me tell you boy..."

Curses
"Old O'Brien had 14 children. And I said HAD. One day in a robbery in his youth he shot a young boy. Nothing special for O'Brien, in his youth he shot dozens of men. But this one boy was the son of an old gypsy lady they say. And the old lady cursed him. She went out on midnight, unarmed, walking to O'Briens camp. As he saw the old woman approaching he pulled his gun, he ordered her to stop. But the old witch did not.
She spoke: Every son and every daughter of O'Brien shall suffer and die like her son did, every one shall end under the earth before they turn 16 years old and none of them shall have children on their own, his cursed blood will end with him. 
Naturally O'Brien shot the witch, but here blood on the ground was what casts the curse. And all of O'Briens children died..."

Witches, Shamans and Warlocks cast curses, they require a sacrifice of blood. The more powerful the curse, the more powerful blood is needed.

Spirits
"Ever heard of Mahpee the bear? The toughest Indian bastard I ever saw. I shot him myself two times and he still kept moving. When he reached me he grabbed me and lifted me up like I was a child. Then he looked me in the eyes and said that Grandmother Bear would not let him die. Still don't know why he left me alive that day..."

The natives of america sometimes have powerful pacts with the spirits of the land, picking animal totems and lending part of their power. Grandmother Bear will give you strength and resilience, Trickster Fox will give you cunning and Brother Wolf will make you fast and give endurance. The most powerful are said to be able to transform into their totem.

Reliques
"I swear I saw the gun with my own two eyes. A most beautiful piece of craftsmanship. But here is the amazing part. Its trigger was forged from a nail that if legend is true pierced Lord Jesus flesh on the cross. Nobody knows if that is true but let me tell you, it was the finest gun I ever saw. They say if you would shoot the devil with it, the devil would bleed."

Holy items, talismans, cursed or enchanted weapons. This could include nearly everything you can think of. Just remember, a cursed item may make you powerful but will have a strong drawback.

Pacts and Magic
"Lucifer, El Diablo, The Father of Lies, The Devil. His Name does not matter. I know you don't listen to old man but believe me on this: Never strike a deal with the devil. He will offer you your greatest desire.
There once was a young man named James with his sweetheart named Rose. He was once a gunslinger but had left that life behind for her. You cant even understand that love boy. He would have given everything for her. And he did. When she fell terribly ill, tuberculosis, he went to the crossroad at night and buried a bone there. When he turned around there he was, beautiful as the morningstar. 
He sold the only thing he had, his own immortal soul. Rose lived. But she shunned him. 
Because that are the Devils gifts, you might get powerful or you might get your revenge, but he takes something much more valuable..."

A deal with the Devil is made at the crossroads. The Devil can make a man powerful, make him the fastest gunslinger or the richest golddigger, but he will take something. If your character made a deal with the Devil he had to give something, his soul and the life of a loved one or the feeling of love. Something.
