Adam listened to her words and when she mentioned about him calling off his lapdogs, he glared at her and he almost took a shot at her, but he kept himself from doing. She then continued on with her speech to him and talked about how if she destroyed her ability to have children then Project Genesis would be destroyed and then mentioned his mother like she was alive, no she had died many years ago when he was a little boy, this confused him and he faltered for a moment. Then she talked about them selected to breed like they were dogs trying being bred by a breeder.
Her words made him feel confused and disgusted, he would never stoop so low that he would rape her, not even for his country. Her taunting words made him angry and his hands were shaking. He then remembered what she had done to his father and the people she had killed. She was dangerous, regardless of what Project Genesis meant to people in the government and a rogue metahuman with her kind of abilities would mean more death and trouble for the human race.
"Tell me Ruby, why should I believe an evil metahuman like yourself? I already had to put one down earlier today. I know you've killed a lot of people and paralyzed my father." Even if Project Genesis was furious with him he didn't give a damn, his duty was to American people as well as the government and to protect them even if they didn't see it the way he did. He took aim at her.
"I'm sorry Ruby, but I'm taking you down now, I don't care how angry my superiors will be, this is personal, goodbye" and in about a split second he was going to pull the trigger and fire off a blast of energy that would be powerful enough to blow through steel. Unless Ruby did something then she would have a blast of energy blow through he skull and scatter her brains everywhere.
