Name: Angus Bellmaker
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: Angus is quiet and well-mannered, and isn't easily upset. He is well-educated, and sings and speaks with a melodious voice. His appearance and actions can cause some people to see him as a simpleton. He has a strict ethical code, and trusts a little too easily. In the rare occasions he does become angry, Angus regrets it for days or weeks after the event, especially if he hurts a friend. He takes things very literally, and often acts confused about topics he'd rather not discuss.
History: Angus is the eighth son of a nearby baron, and is definitely the pat of the family. He is often teased by his older brothers, but only in play. His oldest brother is the steward of Bellmaker Fief, and the others hold prominent positions nearby. He is a little soft when it comes to roughing it, and always prefers an inn over a cold tent. He was sheltered growing up, and most of the things he knows about peasants are what he read in books. Angus came to Redmont to be apprenticed because his father is close to the Baron, and because Redmont is said to have the best skillmasters in the kingdom.
Welp. Time to move on to the 1x1 section. GG Slypheed.
Looks interesting. I'll get a CS up soon.
I'm interested. Is this the same world as the Ranger's Apprentice series? If so, where do the Spellmakers come in?

The day the moon turned purple the world changed. No one knows how are why but on that faithful day everyone under the age of 21 died of a mysterious illness that only the young seemed to be immune to. Now these teens and children much find a way to survive without any adults to guide them. Unfortunately the deaths of the adults isn't the only strange thing that is happening.

Might want to edit that to say "...everyone over the age of 21 died of a mysterious illness.
Yelgir grinned a little at the unexpected response to his joke attempt. "I'm not sure I can help you memorize it, but I can get you a map from the ship's archives. As to being busy, I was just killing time." He glanced at the frequencer and winced at his unexpected pun. On second thought, maybe he should leave the joke books alone. Too much humor could corrupt his system. "Follow me, there's a user terminal just around the corner." Yelgir led the way out of the training room, and let the hatch slide shut with a hiss. There was always something comforting about the subtle sounds of machinery. It was a reminder that the daily sounds stay no matter the circumstances the rest of the world is in. When they reached the terminal, Yelgir unlocked a small cupboard near the base and pulled out a portable display. Approximately 6" square, and a few millimeters thick, the display's clear plastic faces showed information that could be stored in its memory. After downloading a map of the ship onto the display, along with a schedule of meals, meetings, and drills, Yelgir handed it to Sheila. "This should help you find your way around."
Yelgir turned as a voice spoke from behind him, and saw Sheila just inside the training room. He pulled the ear protectors off his head, and set the frequencer on the rack nearby. "Hey Sheila, I hope you are settling in well. I know the rooms are a bit cramped, but at least we don't have to worry about drafts." He tried to joke, but it was't one of his strong suits. Next time he had the chance, Yelgir would have to find a joke book to memorize. Social interaction was a lot harder than receiving orders. "If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know. You can easily reach me over the ship comms."
Yelgir fired off another burst with the sonic frequencer, and the last ceramic target shattered. Thor was safely back in the hanger, and Yelgir had recently finished repairing some of the minor damage taken. The crew of the ship was subdued, almost as if they were afraid to make a sound. Many of them were lethargic; giving up combat training in face of their inevitable defeat. The small android had no such qualms. On the way back to the ship, he realized that under Xien rule, the worlds would need peacekeepers and lawmen, and his experience would make him a valuable addition. He checked the charge meter on the frequencer, then pressed a button for more targets. He tried to keep busy, but his thoughts kept straying back to Jason and the scientist they rescued, Sheila. Out of all the crewmen on the ship, they seemed to take it the hardest. Jason may try to hide it behind toughness and anger, but after two years of serving together, Yelgir was not fooled. Sheila's story checked out; the command ship had a record of her in the database, complete with DNA and atomic recognition. Turns out she was working on some pretty serious stuff, NLW's, stealth sensors, and personalized cloaking technology. The research was transmitted from the station before it was destroyed, and Sheila was given a lab on the ship for when she recovered enough to continue working.
