Now I regret savoring the pizza. Let's hope that Wells becomes important to the plot in the future. Or gets a more interesting chance to RP.
@ThebastardbrastaHaha, I guess Wells is out of the main group for the night? Want me to give him something to do, or do you want to wait until the Ritzy Raichu group is done? Keep in mind, it might take weeks in real-time before this evening is over.

I'll wait and really savor the pizza for a few weeks.
It didn't take long before Wells reached Ali Baba's Genuine Italian Pizza. It was the place he first visited in his apprenticeship. And it was also where he met Helioptile. He managed to apprentice for a very old master electrician, who was retiring due to health problems. Wells would take over his business, together with the Helioptile who was his partner for most of his life. It was a place with memories that made good food taste even better. So he really didn't mind eating there, especially after beeing greeted by the restaurant's owner. The moment he walked in, he could see the people behind the counter walk into the kitchen, presumably starting to work on the regular order. He sat down in a couch by a corner, smiling as the memories flooded back and the smell of many pizzas being made filled his nostrils. He also smiled, as he enjoyed thinking about how Velas reacted to his next unorthodox action. He never expected people to be so easily provoked, but the way they seemed to suddenly care about him was immensely satisfying. Wells often felt pathetic, but he never stopped being amused by simply getting the attention of others, whether it was good or bad. As he asked what the future would bring, his order arrived on the table. As he bit into the first slice, his smile widened. He relished the thought of eating alone. And he enjoyed the nostalgia brought by someplace familiar. For a moment, he was saddened by the thought of being an avatar... but he realized where it could take him if he grabbed the chance, and smiled again.
Wells finally realized how poorly he understood the humor of his fellow avatars. Seras nearly exploded with anger, as she stared into Wells' eyes. But he realized that yielding to her anger could make him lose control over the situation - and perhaps create a fight that nobody would win. So he took the time that Seras nearly shouted at him, and spent it thinking of a reply. After hearing her demand an apology for a stranger, he decided to reply in what he hoped would be a disappointing way. He thought it was the most fitting response to her attempts at insulting his maturity, by insisting that he fit in better among children. And finally, she tried to give him a handshake yet again. Wells looked at it, hoping that Sera's words would lose some of their power among the crowd while he seemingly thought about the handshake.

"Do they have fries at the children's table? Because I quite like fries, and I honestly don't mind children. They're willing to be blunt when they speak, and they don't seem to mind when others do the same. I quite appreciate your suggestion, Seras, although I doubt I would fit in a booster seat. It would be an excellent way to escape the formality that I often try to avoid, but that I never talked about... to avoid being too mean to Justine and the mayor. Another poor attempt to ease tension seems to have been made even worse by its response... yet again. Seems like more than enough reason to leave you to enjoy yourselves. Seras, I'll take your advice to heart. I've worked here as an apprentice, and know a great place for pizza. I'll go there on my own, and hope you enjoy yourselves here."

Wells started walking away from Seras, deciding not to shake her hand.
Wells looked at Kaze, who managed to combine being well-dressed and being poorly prepared as his formal clothes were too small, especially given his apparent attempts at athleticism. He wanted to do something humorous for the others, so he made an obvious observation.

"Porygon could sense her approach from far away. It took a moments to confirm what happened, realizing that its sensors were indeed correct."

Wells let the silence linger longer than necessary. It made sure that the punchline would more powerfully subvert the concealed set-up, making it seem like it stood on its own as much as it was part of a greater joke. When the context of the original sentence faded, he said what he truly meant.

"Porygon thought she was extremely hot!"
Wells has his berry in his bag, together with his toolkit.
@ThundercrashIm sorry.
A demisexual?

She's not into casual sex.
@Thundercrash Another thing is that you'll probably have to fite me IC.
Wells kept his hands by his legs. He merely looked at Justine's hands, and quickly realized that this would become a quite uncomfortable situation. Again, he somewhat regretted being underdressed, as it made it him fit even more poorly among the formally clothed group. Thoughts raced through his mind, before he took a step back and waited to see the fallout. And then he realized how little he liked formal introductions. Maybe that was his real reason for taking a step back? He tried to think of something to say, but every thought seemed to make the situation even more awkward. In the end, Wells simply waited. It was inevitable for the stale silence to be broken by someone more skilled at doing so.
Wells walks towards the restaurant, knowing that the food will taste all the better because he's so hungry and because he waited so long to get it. When he finally takes his first steps inside the door, he is slightly disappointed. It seems like a far too fancy place for him, and fancy places often focus too much on manners and too little on food. When his stomach growled for the first time that day, he reminded himself how powerful a condiment hunger can be. He looked around, not seeing anyone that arrived before him. After a few quick seconds, he decided to wait for everyone else to arrive, right outside.
