You do realize that the Eternal Empire and the Galactic Empire are two different empires right? I mean, what's happening within the SWTOR game is basically an AU thanks to Disney, which likely ruined any canon connections Bioware could have made to the main series.
I thought the same on that. Also it really doesn't even matter if they pick the same faction of the same universe in the same timeline as long as their leaders(on the array) are different, because they are now entirely a different entity in themselves. I assume the point of the 'Universe of Origin' part is more for other people to get a baseline of the content we are making our faction from. Since we are allowed to make are own changes in a fictional universe that harbors a bunch of different fiction universes so it could suit the rp.
For example my Tyranid Dominatrix being sentient and making Her own decisions because the Array stopped the Hive Mind from controlling her. All the Tyranids regardless if they are synapse creatures would turn feral since having synapse is just a extension of the Hive mind. So I did my own take on what would happen if a Major Command synapse nid would lose the voice.
Character itself is still a WIP, but here is my first faction, as it were, done.
Name: Christopher Grant
Appearance: What they look like. You can eliminate this section in favor of a picture at the top of the sheet. If they're an original character, I'd seriously suggest describing them and having a picture if you can find a fitting one.
Age: 28 Race: Human (Colonial) Gender: Male Origin: Battlestar Galactica (2000s series)
Objectives: Personal objectives will vary depending on the operation and day. If there's a long term objective Chris (and, indeed, his comrades and commander) all hold, it is to return home to find out what had happened to it.
Temperament: Not personality, as you should define that in the actual RP. This is just how they typically interact with others.
Affiliation: Battlestar 'Lysander' Alignment: Lawful Good
Background: A short summary of their experiences before arriving on the Ragnarok Array. This isn't a bio, so you don't need that level of detail. If you're doing a OC, I'd add a little bit more than what others do if I were you. Since everyone who isn't a late joiner arrived at the same time a month ago, you've been around likely a month. However I'd probably look into the applied factions and characters and maybe work something out with others before saying what you did on the Array.
Skills: Even if their level of skill exceeds humanity, it should go here if it's a skill. Things like the capability to shoot a gun, read books, or build solar system destroying space ships. Like abilities, list them and give minor details. If they have average skill in a mundane skill such as cooking or driving, don't mention it.
Abilities: None Equipment:
Personal sidearm
EVA flight suit
Formal and 'work' uniforms
Viper Mk VII fighter craft
Protagonist Points: Threat Rating:
Faction Name: Battlestar Group 79 Leader: CDR Stephanie Cunningham
Ship Heraldry:
An example of a ship's 'seal' (in this example, the iconic BST-75 'Galactica')
Top Arc: “Battlestar Lysander” Bottom Arc: “BST 79”
Mottos: “Strike Swift and Sure!” (Battlestar Group 79's motto) “So Say We All!” (common refrain among the Twelve Colonies)
The third-last Mercury-class Battlestar produced for the Colonial Navy of the Twelve Colonies of Man, 'Lysander' was commissioned as part of Battlestar Group 79, acting as the flagship of a group consisting of 'Lysander', three Defender-class Battlestars and a flotilla of mothballed Marauder-class corvettes.
Having spent a year patrolling the border of the Colonial-Cylon Armistice Zone, 'Lysander' was recalled to rendevous at the Scorpio Shipyards in order to be outfitted with new computational hardware and software, including the Computational Navigation Program (CPN). However, BGS-79 had been diverted and returned late. By then, the shipyards were burning and swarmed by a Cylon invasion force. Forty years of peace had been broken and the instrument of the Fleet's destruction had been a back door in, ironically, the very program the Battlestar was due to be refitted with.
With no other way out except to punch their way through a trio of Cylon Basestars, Commander Cunningham gave orders for her battlegroup's subordinate craft to veer away and either engage at their discretion or to return to their homeworlds. With the nominal jump exit out from Scorpio blocked off, Cunningham ordered the initiation of a 'blind' jump, all the while the Battlestar was being hammered by fighter-borne nuclear missiles and anti-ship fire. Narrowly able to limp away (and, unknown to them in the chaos, with their sister ship 'Pegasus' also retreating), the 'Lysander' succeeded in initiating their 'blind' jump … and disappeared.
One month after their arrival at the Ragnarok Array, the crew of the 'Lysander' have been busy with damage repair, coming to terms with the loss of much of their fleet (unknown to them, the entire Twelve Colonies were also wiped out) and keeping their immediate space clear of interference. While Commander Cunningham plans to begin further exploration afield, early encounters with unidentified spacecraft had blunted exploration efforts and resulted in casualties and further damage. 'Lysander' is well-equipped to withstand a major battle, but no-one aboard has any idea where they are, why they are here or that there are far worse things then Cylons both in orbit and below ...
Officers:
Battlestar Commander: CDR S. Cunningham (NPC). The 40s-something, somewhat embittered commander of 'Lysander'. An expert naval tactican who knows how to use her Battlestar and its crew to the fullest, but is struggling with both recent events and as-of-yet unidentifiable foes facing her men.
Executive Officer (XO): (Open)
Marine Commander: (Open)
Red Squadron Leader: Christopher Grant (PC)
Green Squadron Leader: Rebecca Ash (NPC). Grant's counterpart and friend. Somewhat joking and a bit of a tease, but also a firm hand when frak goes south.
Six additional Viper Squadron Commanders
Commander of Battlestar's Raptor Wing
Victory Conditions: TBD by Admin.
Special Resources:
Tylium Ore A rare ore found on certain planetoids, tylium ore is the primary fuel source of the Colonial Fleet. In theory, a Battlesrat of either Jupiter or Mercury class could be powered for two decades with a single supply of Tylium for its reactors. In practise – and with full flight operations occurring regularly – the onboard supply could be exhausted in as little as four months by constant FTL jumps and the requirements of its subordinate craft.
It could be said that, without the mining and distribution of this ore, the Twelve Colonies of Man and its Navy would cease to function.
Skirmish 1 or 2 Viper flights, with 1 or more Raptors acting as AWACS.
Battle 3+ Viper squadrons, with at least 2 Assault Raptor flights as bombers and 2 Raptors configured for AWACS. 1 or more Marine units aboard transport Raptors (if battle is groundside).
Climax All Viper and Assault Raptor squadrons are scrambled to engage the enemy, while 'Lysander' provides anti-fighter screening and direct fire support. Marine-carrying Raptors (with infantry) may also be utilised if engagement is taking place ground-side (e.g.: the storming of New Caprica) or boarding a ship is required.
Nuclear missile launch may be authorised under strict, generally "no-'win'-otherwise" scenarios.
Starting Location: Orbit above the Array. One Node within the southern rainforest area (salmon pink on the map).
'Nids have made landfall. Emperor have mercy on us all.
Oh stop. Their still Neutral! They can be befriended in this universe. If the benefits out weight the amount of Biomass that could be consumed from them tho...
The Dominatrix stood quiet in her birthing chambers. Only the sound of whirling pools of Biomass filled the underground Cavern. Along the walls and floors these green sacs of liquid held most of her army until she truly needed them. It was almost a month from now when the Warp dropped her and so little of her swarm on this planet. Alone and scared she fled when she awoke on land, searching for the voice of command. The usual voice that gave her strength and wsdom, but now it was gone. She doesn't know where it went and how to bring it back. The new voice in her head, her own, gave much needed guidance on what to do next. Consume all...
She had to focus on building her vast army. She had the ability, but not the guidance. She, for the first time in the thousands of years of life had to make up her own orders. It frightened her, another feeling she was not accustomed too. Still she was sure to complete her one and only goal in her life. Already she had spawned few of her children to begin filling the ranks, but for the first few weeks if was long and slow. This World... It was different. The inhabitants did not provide her with the strength he needed to strive. The creatures here would not give proper Biomass to quickly build her new Hive.
Originally she thought it would of took decades before the Swarm could surface and take the Planet for the Hive Mind. Maybe the oh so familiar voice would come back to her. Maybe it was a test. Maybe it meant nothing. It wasn't until just a week ago she had discovered this object. A 'Node', as she called it. Lying dormant in one of the many vast chambers Drok'ez's Hive currently occupied. With her psychic powers originally granted by the Hive mind she was able to order the machine into creating the Biomass she desperately needed. It was only a few Days until she birthed her first child that was so much like her self. Appropriately giving it a name much like his Mother. Drok'Rah.
Drok'Rah
As he brought his pack out of the Forest that they consumed and onto rocky land, he received her command.
Hunt... Prey... Consume...
Rah was scouting the surface under his mother's request. Not only scouting, but hunting for biomass. The Prime led his pack of two other Warriors and a large gaggle of Termagants. They were all older. All birthed from the original Hive Fleet's queen. Yet they all followed him... No. They were apart of him. While his Mother technically controlled them all, just like her they were just an extension of himself. Something he couldn't understand, but was still very natural. While just feral beast by themselves, with him as their lead they moved with him will little more than a thought. As sentient as he was.
The Prime and his Warrior Cohort stood twice as tall as man, staying in the back and providing security to the smaller child sized Termagants that took great pleasure in eating any decent sized plant and the occasional small mammal the fell victim to their hunt. They have yet made contact with intelligent life, but Rah can feel the day drawing on them soon. A day he dreamed of so the Swarm may consume their Biomass and grow from the fruits of other's life.
Spooky was more than suprised to see his small friend fight. Especially with such skill and brutality. This would mean he didn't need to hold anything back and being released from the mental chains of him having to actually defend his Bunny friend. Still if he didn't have to worry about her, maybe they could actually help each other out... Spooky moved to his Muddy Companion, swinging his sword forward not only to cleave a Undead from the Earth, but the throw of the sword sent him forward with each swing. Pulling him closer to his Ally. He did not notice the Plague rat, due to his height and him catching tunnel vision for his ally.
Once he met up with her he dropped to one knee and held a hand above his head."Get up on my shoulders. I have a plan!"
It was a simple one really. She obviously showed her skill in ranged combat, but was delicate. Spooky was slow as a Rock, but was as tough as one as well. They could use each other's strength to hide their weakness. Spooky being her cover and a wall of defense that none of these Wretched creatures could even hope to break. His fuzzy eared friend would stay on top and hit target's with her blade from a distance. Acting as a second wall. If she didn't take them out from a distance, than Spooky would when they closed in.
One of the First synapse creature made by the Dominatrix. Spawned above his Warrior brothers as a Prime to directly lead the forces so the Dominatrix could focus on creating the Hive. Born with the usual Warrior Prime traits and due to it's increased intelligence and being a Synapse creature, it had also became sentient. While still extremely loyal to the Swarm, Rah has the power to make individual decisions and thoughts. Able to help the Dominatrix make choices eyes in battle, making quick changes in orders if needed, and even communicate with other species through psychic thoughts. Truly one of the first of his kind. It's battle prowess is noticeably greater than other Warrior broods due to it's intelligence and natural increased strength.
Skills:
Prime - Tyranid Warrior Primes serves as a powerful synapse creature for Tyranid swarms and is a potent commander of Tyranid attacks. The Tyranids' leadership caste is difficult for commanders to identify, and there is often the mistaken assumption that the larger a Tyranid creature is, the more important it is to the swarm. This is especially true for Tyranid Warrior Primes, an evolution of the standard Tyranid Warrior genus that has an elevated intelligence and a stronger synapse range.
Synapse - With the Lose of the Hive Mind Drok'Rah can now be a node and producer of it's Own and Drok'ez goals using it's cortex to allow long range communication with troops.
Abilities:
Chitin - A series of carapace plates that exude a sticky resin-like substance which quickly harden and create additional self-healing layers of ablative armor that offers the Tyranid greater protection against incoming attacks
Venom Cannon - The Venom Cannon fires salvos of crystals formed of highly corrosive poison[2] and then coated in a metallic, venomous reside. They are launched with an electrostatic charge at tremendous velocities. A target, if not killed outright by the impact, will be shredded by the hailing shards of shattered crystal, or by the corrosive poison from the shattered crystals. They are also effective against vehicle armour, shattering within the bulkheads of a tank and killing the crew.
Scything Talons - These long, razor-edged claws resembling fused talons made of Chitin and serrated bone-like substances. Each talon is powered by whipcord muscles to stab, slash, and eviscerate victims with lightning-fast swipes.
Tyranid Regeneration - Used to repair the most destructive battle damage, including delicate tissues and bodily organs at an astonishing rate. Often scars are left, most notably in the head and neck which would be fatal to most other species.

I decided to Just make one for now. Even though I'm not starting as a big swarm I want to keep it less "Hero" filled. @CHammer When you want to be a Tyranid Kerrigan come stop by the Spawning Chambers!
