Looking for a Magi Roleplay [Mid Casual+]

Really interested in doing one of these at the moment. So! If you want to know a bit about what to expect from me, look no further!

I usually post once a day, but I can manage more frequent ones if I'm particularly inspired (or if the posts are shorter). On the other hand, sometimes it'll take me 3 days to get a response out. I struggle with depression and that makes it tough at times.
I usually try matching the length of my partner's posts, but please don't give me any one-liners. It'd be great if you could at least give me a paragraph per post.
I have a bizarre sleep schedule, so I can't exactly tell you when to expect replies. I'm in the Eastern time zone.
I might be crappy at holding a conversation, but I do love OOC chat. I like getting friendly with my partners. :)

I'm 23, so I'm looking for maturity in the roleplay. I've been at it for about 10 years now.

Now here's what I'd like from you:

- Please be patient! Also, feel free to send me a reminder PM. I have an awful memory sometimes and could possibly forget to reply.
- I'm looking for someone who can play male or double. I'm only looking for MxF pairings at the moment.
- Please have a firm grasp of the English language. I'm fine with little grammatical and spelling errors, though. It happens.
- I'm hoping for an 18+ partner. I like mature themes, and I'm a sucker for gore and violence.
- I'd like someone to play a canon for my OCs, and I can do the same. I'm alright with just OCs though.

I have no plot right now, but I'm more than happy to brainstorm.

Universe - Original

Appearance: Art Credit Name: Ishtar Emryni Age: 24 Race: Half-elven Height: 5'7" Weight: 140 lbs Personality: Living around men for much of her life has shaped her personality, if only slightly. She can be brisk and business-like, and also has a tendency to speak her mind when she wants to. Her sense of humor can range from bawdy to gallows, but she does enjoy a good joke. She can be a little more tactful when she wants, but usually prefers being direct when getting things done. In addition to that, she's fairly street-smart and people smart, and is proud of her bravery. However, she's also prone to depressive episodes and tends to have a short temper. History: Abandoned as a child for being half-elven, she lived on the streets until she was old enough to be taken in by one of the military-run orphanages. She was well taken care of, but all her training was for the purpose of being forced into the role of a soldier. She was 17 when she saw her first battle. It was a disaster that still haunts her to this day. Ishtar fled, knowing fully well that it would get her into trouble. After jumping from mercenary group to mercenary group, the young woman was able to join a guild of warriors who pledged to help the land. The Lions of Ryta were widely considered vigilantes to the government, but they were left alone due to the support of the people. In fact, the king was quick to turn to them in his time of need. Ishtar herself was famed for killing dragons - along with a small group, of course. Her heritage gave her a little edge, making her faster and stronger. Weapons: A longsword, a bow, and a quiver of arrows. Also has a dagger, but rarely uses it.

Appearance: Art Credit Name: Akemi Kurosawa Age: 16-18 Height: 5'6" Weight: 135 lbs Target Meister: Dragoon Weapon(s): A handgun and a rifle Personality: Akemi is often seen as serious and stoic, although she's quick to lose that around friends. She's outgoing and compassionate, but habitually locks that up when the job/schooling calls for it. She's quick thinking and resourceful, and tries her best to act as a guardian if she can or if there's no one better suited available. Her sense of humor is a little strange, ranging from sarcastic to making stupid puns if she's in the right mood. History: -WIP-

Universe - Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Appearance: Art Credit Name: Aella Age: 16-17 Homeland: Artemyra Personality: Aella's curiosity comes across first, followed by her thirst for knowledge. She is somewhat rash when her feelings are involved, and tends to act without thinking things through. Under normal circumstances, however, she's decent at planning and tries to make use of that fact whenever possible. She has a bit of a temper when people underestimate her, but also has a tendency to use that to her advantage if she has to. Aside from that, she's caring and outgoing, and enjoys making friends. History: Born a magician in a society of warrior women wouldn't normally be an issue if she had someone readily available to instruct her. Aella learned what she could from what magicians resided Artemyra, although she trained other things as well. It was important to be proficient with weapons as well, at least to her family, anyway. She learned anyway, deciding that a strong body would likely help her in more ways than one. Soon enough, she began dreaming of adventure beyond her home. It was difficult earning her mother's approval, but her father encouraged her to go and explore. She eventually did, taking her bird companion and leaving. Adjusting to the differences in culture was arduous for her in some cases, seeing as though patriarchal societies were completely new to her. However, she did enjoy her time away. She saw many things and met many people, and was quick to find that not all was well with the world. Aella tried helping out where she could in between time she spent training, although one crisis averted seemed to leave multiple in its wake. After some time, she too was caught up in one of the ongoing issues. Slavers attacked and captured her and her bird, which she was unable to save when she made her escape. Now grounded, she has little choice but to look around for odd jobs and a new way home. Magic Type: Life Specialties: Healing and "Creating" Others: Dabbles in lightning magic and mental manipulation. Both are unruly and unreliable at times. Weapon(s): Mainly uses a bronze-plated metal staff topped with one of the birds her home country is famous for. The wings are outspread and fashioned to be used as blades when necessary. She also has a dagger for instances in which magic is not the best course of action. Clothing and Equipment: She wears the loose-fitting pink garb that many of her people do, although she prefers to wear a white tunic beneath it rather than leave skin bare. She has a desert-traversing cloak for when she's off on her own, and does tend to alter her outfits to suit the climate. She has a satchel that she carries all her supplies in, and carries both her dagger and her water-skin in the sash-belt she wears.
