Rand gave a nod to Penny. "Yeah, this whole thing is insane. Just when we get somewhere safe I'll explain it all to you alright?" Rand said, looking back at where he saw the lycan. "Speaking of which we need to get going." Rand took Penny's hand and began moving at a brisk pace, keeping aware of their surroundings. If the lycan attacked them Rand could defend them for a bit with the stick and may even be victorious, but the problem would be if it brought friends or used Penny to its advantage. "I'm not sure where the others are right now. With any luck we'll run into them," he said in response to her questions. "We might be safer to go to that cave with a boulder blocking it." It was fairly far from their location but it really was the only place he could actually lead them to that it might be worth the risk. Where would the other hunters be anyway? He supposed they had found shelter or gotten out of here. Either seemed viable, maybe he should trying to get them far away from this place too. "I'd also be more comfortable searching for them in the daytime."
Connor rested against a tree, gaining back his breath. He needed to focus now so he could get back to the cave. He looked back at where the lake was, hopefully whatever that creature was didn't change their mind about him. What was that thing anyway? He couldn't recall any water creatures like that in his training, but then again there were so many that he still had yet to learn. Connor sighed, he didn't want to just guess where the cave was. When he went out with Phil he had been keeping track of markers, but in order to find the markers he'd have to go back to the stream, where that lake had been so close to. Maybe giving a wide arc would have to be the answer. Connor shook his head and started walking, becoming far more aware of his surroundings.
