Current AD&D was more or less 1.5e. That's not *totally* accurate but it kinda evokes what happened. I've not done D&D in a hot minute, tho.

To anyone waiting on posts from me: as some of y'all know, my place of work minorly caught on fire on Tuesday and I had to deal with that. Literally. Anyways. That's why I'm slow lately.

As a Texan, the proper spelling is "Y'all" not "ya'll." It is a contraction of "You all" not "Ya all." That's all I have to say on any of this.

I'm happy to announce that, illness-wise, I seem to be out of the woods. Thanks for your patience, everyone!

Bio

Yo, what up. I'm The Grundlesnart.

What's a grundlesnart? Me. I'm a grundlesnart.

I've been RPing for like 16 years, since back when Yahoo Groups was still a thing. So yeah, I'm an old fart.

I've no problem with it, tbh, so long as @shylarah and @HaleyTheRandom are on board as well

Cool. I'll await their judgements!

oh shit my bad it's not in this thread, but here's the copy-pasted rule about non-royals! hope this helps :) and im glad to hear it!!! super excited to see what you come up with

𝓝on-royal characters are allowed; however, keep in mind that if you make a servant or something, there would be a lot of events that your character wouldn't realistically be able to participate in. The co-GMs and I recommend creating nobles/aristocrats if you're going to go down the non-royal route; we also ask that you consult with us beforehand

Ok, as part of consulting:

What about a Photographer? If this is as big a deal as is hoped, someone will need to be there to *tastefully* document the goings-on for future nostalgia purposes.

Probably wouldn't be present for EVERYTHING, and would of course try to be discreet, but they would be likely to be present for more events than your average servant. Especially if they're a royally appointed historian or something.

Just a thought. I can do a royal instead or in tandem.
Where is that Rules section found? I might want to do a nonroyal because I like to make things difficult for myself.

Also I'm expressing interest. I'm down to gown, as it were.

The Devil plot looks pretty fun, if you don't mind someone putting a twist on it. I'm posting here since the post didn't indicate of I should post here or PM. So I'll default to here. (That, or I'm becoming illiterate. Wouldn't surprise me.)

Anyways.

That plot sounds pretty fun.

I'll express interest.

Would a Type Green who can share powers between members of a group be too much?

So for instance if you had a guy with superstrenth, a person who could breathe fire, and mr. Share:
Superstrength guy would get lesser firebreathing powers.
Firebreather would get enhanced strength (but not as much as superstrength guy)
Mr. Share would get both, again to a lesser extent than the originals.

Of course, the number of people he can do this exchange with is limited, and the more people are involved, the less power each gets from the others.

I figure I should check first.
@TheGrundlesnart

Never promised that one!

Lemme rephrase that:
You don't plan to torture any PLAYERS.

Characters are another story. I'm quite fond of putting characters into compromising, upsetting, traumatic, and torturous situations.

Oh hey, as a side note,

I'm already planning my secret out. It might require someone else to work with me a wee bit, though. So as not to spoil secrets, could those who want secrets that require a connection to another character PM the requirements to you, and you post a list of said requirements to see who's willing to volunteer?

Just a thought. Secrets that relate to the family members/lives of other characters could be juicy as fuck, but require some delicate setup if it is going to stay hidden between players.
