I'm at work right now, so when I get home tonight - or tomorrow before work - I'll be able to give better responses with fewer risks of Swype/autocorrect typos.

So far Stella's connection to Adelie is disarming Lugnut in year 3 when he tried to hex Adelie. It was one of those instances where she just followed her itch to be somewhere at a certain time without understanding why until she saw Lugnut pull his wand.

Any other connections with the others could be more of the same where Stella was just in the right place at the right time or Adelie could have introduced them or there could be some other reason behind the connection. Did any of the rest of you have other ideas?

Just let me know what you're going to do with Calvin's house. If there are three Gryffindors, I can make Stella a Slytherin so there aren't three from the same house and two from completely separate houses. If there are two Gryffindors, a Ravenclaw, and a Slytherin, I'll keep her as a Hufflepuff to help keep diversity between the group. I want my character to help maintain a balance between the rest, and I'm very flexible about changing her house (and the necessary pieces of her personality) in order to achieve that.

Do you want us to compile the ways our characters met each other in the Interest Check or in the OoC you intend to make?

In vaguely related news, the Book 4 trailer for Legend of Korra came out, and I think I saw the Foggy Swamp in there. I am super stoked.

Okay. I edited my post to change Stella from a Hufflepuff to a Slytherin. I glanced over it, and I don't think I accidentally left anything Slytherin-y from the original, but if you catch something, let me know and I will fix it.

I'm going to list the character sheet links here just so I (and anyone else) can have a single post to quickly access the sheets instead of having to hunt through the entire thread to find them every time. I think I might edit Stella's bio and personality to make her a Hufflepuff. I'd waffled between Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw for her initially, but when I misread Calvin's sheet and thought he was Gryffindor, it made more sense to me that there be someone else who's a Slytherin to keep both Zef and Stella from being like... the "outsiders." However, I realize now that if Stella remains a Slytherin, then that only leaves Calvin without a housemate friend in the group which could work but just seems a little unbalanced. Besides, I'd love to make it so that there's the full "set" of houses in the group.

Thanks for correcting that. I don't know why, but I thought I read in Calvin's sheet that he was sorted into Gryffindor. That was my mistake. My only guess is that I shouldn't speed read through posts on my phone while I'm on my short breaks at work. I really do appreciate your including how Adelie met and befriended the others because it gives a really clear and really nice idea about why they became close. I'm guessing she's the one that links them all, right? Like the backbone of the group?

Since the three of you seem okay with my joining, I'm hoping that means that Nevermind will be, too.

That being said, the best way to start soon is to start brainstorming ideas. It looks like Nevermind is MIA for the moment, but if we have some ideas on the table for when they get back, it would be easier to come up with a solid idea for the story we want to write together.

It's the sort of thing were, due to the number of people, I'd be very open to ideas and we could shape the story together. Most likely set in the characters' last school year of Hogwarts, though I'm flexible.

So if the four of us start coming up with ideas now, when Nevermind returns, they could offer their own ideas and help streamline the ones we came up with.
