Hansel - Fairytale Land

Revving his chainsaw, Hansel grumbled on about something do with how he didn't bloody care if the Aveana was a little chilly in her room and how she's got magic so she should just conjure up her own damn wood. Despite his displeasure, he continued to work; it was better than the death that would surely follow if he didn't comply, though, sometimes it didn't seem that way. However, any time away from the castle was a good time.

Once the tree fell, Hansel paused to take a swig of the small canteen of whiskey that hung from his hip. It was encased in a brown leather pouch with the seal of the kingdom on it, and while he loved whisky, the Enchantress's crest on it was like a taunt of her power over him. The thought only made him crave the drink more so the burning sensation in the back of this throat as it went down was a familiar and welcome feeling. Capping the canteen, he picked up his chainsaw and went back to work cutting it into manageable pieces. In almost no time at all, he had the wood loaded it into the bed of the pick up truck they let him use.

Sliding into the car, Hansel cursed the Enchantress for living so far away from vegetation. She just had to live across a monstrous platform several hundred feet in the sky. He knew she could just as easily have gotten more wood for herself, but she's so sadistic that she knew somebody had to go out in this weather to get it for her. Lucky for him, however, he'd never had to deal with her much face to face despite the face that he'd lived there for the past 16 years. It was reminders like that, that made him thankful for being the errand boy of a servant. He truly felt sorry for the poor blokes who had to deal with her on a daily basis.

Drizella - Fairytale Land

The empty feeling in her stomach didn't bother Drizella much as she sat at her vanity, admiring her own face. Gustan was a fool. How could he not be interested in such a picture of perfection? It's not like he was a real catch! He was loud and brutish and completely self-obsessed! He was no Prince Charming. While Drizella knew better than anyone that this was all true, she also knew he was devilishly handsome, extremely wealthy, and, most importantly, a prince!

Leaning her hand on her fist, the brunette sighed. What did she have to do to get through to him? How could she make him see that she was the one he's been searching for? Or perhaps...that's it! She's going to become the one he's searching for. Who cares if he doesn't fall for 'the real' her? As long as he's rich everything's fine because everyone knows the real power in this world isn't magic. It's money! Dr. Facilier taught her that.

However, there's a problem. What is Gustan looking for? Perfection is right here! What more could he want? Drizella mulled this question over as she touched up her makeup, applying generous amounts of green eye shadow to match her new green and gold dress. It was her new favorite because not only was it her two favorite colors (green for money and gold for, well, you know, gold) it also showed off her tiny waist. As a final touch, she added a gold hair bow to match her dress and shoes. It was perfect! Thankfully, his father extended an invitation to her family to stay in their castle for a while, which meant that Drizella had 24/7 access to the prince. Now all she had to do was pack!
Hey, quick question (I fee like I use that phrase a lot), three different pictures have been shown of castles. Are these all supposed to be the same castle or are they different castles in different places?
Appearance:

Name: Hansel Birch

Age: 23

Personality: Traumatized by his dealings with his abusive stepmother and the witch that owned the gingerbread house he and his sister stumbled upon as children, Hansel has a deep hatred for all magic and women, which only got worse when the Enchantress took over. He has also picked up a bit of a drinking problem. He uses it as an escape from his past and his present. He, more often than not, drinks on the job too, but he holds his liquor well enough to get the job done. In addition, Hansel trusts no one. He has become obsessively paranoid and is always looking over his shoulder, watching out for whoever might be out to get him next; especially with that little Alice running loose.

Life in fairytale land: When Hansel was young, he and his sister were abandoned by their parents in the woods because, according to their stepmother, they ate too much. Long story short, he and his sister found a gingerbread house in the woods and began eating it because they were lost, naive, and hungry. She caught them and tried to fatten them up and eat them. Only Hansel escaped. His sister, too young to know better and desiring a mother figure, trusted the old witch and followed her every command. Hansel tried to stop her, but he couldn't do much from the cage he was locked in. Watching his sister get eaten was the most traumatizing thing to ever happen to him. The broken boy was next in line and was let out of his cage several days later to be eaten. He used the opportunity to try to escape. He took advantage of the woman's poor eyesight and shoved her into the fire she was going to use to cook him. After that, he fled and somehow found his way home. His father was shocked, but happy to have him back. His stepmother had died sometime while he and his sister were gone. His father claimed it was illness, but thinking back on it, Hansel suspects it was his father's doing. While Hansel was gone, his father had started drinking heavily. At the time, Hansel didn't understand why.
Hansel was only about 7 years old when the Enchantress and her band of villains rose to power. While Hansel's father started drinking even more, he and his father were safe for a little while (3 years) because they lived deep in the woods, but it was only a matter of time before they were found. His father had been innocently slaughtered by the Enchantress's men and he, himself, was taken captive and dragged back to the palace to be forced into servitude. Due to his father's profession as a woodcutter, they saw it fit to make Hansel one, too, and, to be honest, theoretically it would have been ideal because he had experience in such work. However, the conditions under which he worked were horrible. He was often sent with too few men to bring back wood for the castle in any sort of a timely manner. He does this day in and day out. He doesn't mind it much because it gives him some time away from the castle, a place he often fantasies escaping. The winters, however, are the worst. Trying to carry back arm fulls of wood when the weather was nice was hard enough, but the constant threat of hypothermia made it nearly impossible. It took a lot of convincing, a little liquid courage, and some things he would never admit doing to pursued his superiors to give him a horse and carriage. There was a catch, though. He had to do it all on his own now. His companions were reassigned and he is, more often than not, alone in gathering wood. Hansel also does some hunting here and there, and he's a pretty good shot, when he's sober that is, but let's be honest, that's not very often.

(I figured no one will be playing his sister so I kind of killed her off.)
Sorry, about that, I had classes today and afterwards I slept...a lot. Anyway, I should have Hansel and my first post up tonight. <3

lol so funnyJade you can make him an adult. as a kid he wont be of use unless he makes friends with one of the royals and he ends up being like a little brother figure to someoneIf your not a royal your butt stays home.

Thank you~! <3
I'll make him an adult in that case.
And you seriously made me laugh out loud, thank god nobody was around. I imagined you waving your finger like a mother. XD
He's not a royal, so I would assume he would have stayed in the fairytale land.
Awesome <3 Making Hansel, how old should I make him? Would he still be a kid or would he have grown up some?

Thats okay. I'm starting to feel like I'm being a bit of a nit-picker. I must be so annoying.

Nope, that would be me! Sorry about that. I just wanted to make sure I knew what was going on. So, can I make a character that doesn't have a love interest as long as they aren't royal? So they can go into the 'others' category?
