Current Sad to say I'm currently experiencing Writer's Block. Luckily I learned Writer's Kung Fu and I can chop the block in half with my hands like Bruce Lee

Why is the sun like bread? It rises in the yeast, and sets in the waist. Haha! Isn't that so cute? Join my RP or more puns will come.

What's the difference between a Hollywood actor and a piece of driftwood? One is Justin Timberlake. The other is timber, just in a lake. Hahathisiswhati'mdoinginsteadofwriting

Hey, folks: I've just kicked off an RP, a fantasy where you can worldbuild as much as you can adventure. So if, like me, you like worldbuilding nearly as much as writing, check out Pilgrim's Caravan

That moment when losing a character in a rougelike makes you want to shed tears. No backup. It's gone.

Bio

Current RP I want you to join: roleplayerguild.com/topics/191461-car…

Hey y'all. I've been at this for about 10 years, and I've played a lot of kinds of RP. I like fantasy and sci-fi the most, just because they give me the most to play around with, but I'm cool with almost anything. I just like writing.

Really want to make a second character, though. I just don't have one in mind besides the fact they're a female elf who likes/liked adventuring, gave Amber her pipes and uses a bow/crossbow/both. I can never finalise a backstory/alignment

It depends on the character you're making and your writing style. Want something dramatic? Tragic past. Want an aggressive one? Think of a backstory that forced her to become that way. If you want an adventurer, think of a backstory that might have lead to them desiring adventure.

But you've been asking for help on the backstory for days now. If you can't think of a backstory, just give her a few paragraphs of generic backstory and mention the parts you already know (meeting your last character)
Just to say I haven't vanished

Wonderful! I'm sure all the others will be glad to hear i-

@Jeyma MEMES

Apparently, memes are more important than Silver having not vanished.

(I'm trying so hard not to post right now because I want to but the past two posts are both written largely by me.)
Totally complaining be, don't even lie.

(not legit complaining- just shitposting)
@Lawful Newtral

I like it a lot, but one small issue: Rayu has a surprisingly normal body. No extra limbs. In fact, she's very beautiful by most standards. She does have sharp teeth and wings, tho.

Delete that bit and I'm cool with the rest.
@Jeyma Yeah, sure. I can roll with that. Don't expect him to remain in contact with this Fleshspinner, though.

Of course not.

Rayu, if you remember my character sheet in detail, is the lost best friend of Shertul.

Being a fleshspinner, she has no qualms about feeding on flesh (duh) and blood like Shertul almost did with Crow, but she has a stronger moral compass and will only drink blood from murderers, rapists, thugs and so on. She feeds on the scum of society, so maybe your character decided she deserved to be let free.
Say we have a Nephilim. And said Nephilim one day made a decision to spare a Revenant or other being of chaos from complete purging. Would this Nephilim be punished and if so, how and how severe?

Sounds like this falls under the noble jurisdiction of @Arkaotic.

EDIT: Didn't see his post when I replied

But if it were me, I'd guess they'd have a lot of punishment and distrust to deal with. I imagine something like...

They aren't trusted enough to go on missions alone any more, so they must always be escorted along by a senior Nepher. Perhaps they had to spend time re-training like a new initiate, to make sure the lessons sunk in this time.

Sidenote: If you would be so kind, let the "Revenant or other being of chaos" your dude sparred be a Fleshspinner instead of a Rev, who was caught drinking the blood of a victim. BUT that victim was discovered to be a rapist and general thug, so your character felt sympathy and spared the fleshy blood-drinker b/c their only crime was killing a rapist/murderer/thief/scumbag.

And let that Fleshspinner be named... Rayu

(if you're okay with that)
READ, PEASANTS- BASK IN OUR COLLABORATIVE GLORY
Honestly, I know there are two groups out the city and where they are, but I haven't been paying enough attention to know who's in which group and why they're travelling in the directions they are. If I make another character, I'll read up.

The first group is right outside the gates, and has Lumao, Kaezira, SanaChan's elves, plus Sutagara. They have not left yet, but are traveling to the Institute.
-Lumao just arrived at the group.
-Cindy is attacking it with her whispers, per our last post and the OOC discussion that followed

The second group is in the forest by the road, and has Shertul, Corra, Analise, Sophia, plus Crow/Carlise. Currently, Crow, being a Nephilim, is trying to persuade Sophia to come back with him, but Shertul and Analise are intent on taking her to the Wastelands due to the dark mark on her thigh.

And of course you know this one, but we have Amber, Nyx, Lark and the Gellert all somewhere within the city.

There's basically a Nephilim group by the gates being all holy, a Revenant group in the forest taking a 17 year old to the Wastes, and a neutral group running around Wellborough as neutrals do. Which is all pretty fucking perfect, since nobody actively planned it
@Jeyma Oh, yeah, the potential cultist! That would be more interesting, wouldn't it. I'll take that group then. Sorry for my troublesome, indecisive, inconsiderate mind. >w<

Don't insult yourself. That's my job!

But for reals, for reals, don't feel bad. We all do it. There's no harm done, my bro. I've skipped entire pages in RPs and then accidentally fucked everything up because of it. :P

I'll go ahead and start working on some sort of response. Thanks for posting: we needed someone to cure that 5-day lull in activity.
