Hey Guys sorry i disappeared I lost my internet for awhile some jack ass took out the box down the road and it was major screwy since. Can someone give me a little info as to whats been going on, or ill prob read it all knowing me.

The Camp fell i take it?
"Thank you... you didn't have to help me, but you did".

"Don't thank me kid... I ain't no hero or good Samaritan, I am far to damaged for that now."

Leonardo let the silence resume as they walked, while on the outside he was solid like a rock the same could not be said for how he felt on the inside. There were just so many things now that haunted him, to the point where he could barely sleep anymore. It was not these dead things that bothered him the most in fact compared to most things the infection that was engulfing the United States was rather miniscule at best. Most people were afraid of it, but not Leonardo he wasn't scared to shoot the same people he had long swore and oath to protect, because if there was one who had to be a pariah it would always be him. No the things that haunted him were so much more scary, and the worst part of it, he could never rid himself of it, of the guilt, the pain, the sorrow he felt day in and day out. This would going to shit was not his hell, his hell was the fact that he had to live with what he did... Looking back at the man behind him Leonardo felt a sense of himself once upon a time, trying to protect someone who he had meant, had no relation to him, no reason for him to protect them, but in the end he still did and almost died for that person when the bell striked hardest. Maybe that was why he was willing to help this man, or maybe it wasn't, he had no real reason to do what he was doing.

"You might want to consider the possibility that she is dead kid."

Leonardo broke the strong silence suddenly keeping his walking pace trying to put as much ground behind them as possible in the shortest amount of time. Leonardo kept talking as he kept vigilant of his surroundings.

"I know its not something you would want to think about, but if it ended up being the truth of things then you should start feeling that pain now because its only worse once you see it for yourself. Its a terrible thing to say I know, I can tell that you have formed a bond with this young girl and feelings for her, but the way things are now I can not tell you that when we get there she will still be there safe and sound. But unfortunately bonds and friendship, and feelings can't shield you from this hell no matter how strong the bond, I learned that already... harshly perhaps but a lesson hard learned."

Leonardo reached down and took the pack of smokes from his pocket and opened it, he had about twelve left in this pack now, he would have to get more soon he only had a few packs left. Taking one out he put it in his lips and lit it taking a long drag from it blowing the smoke out slowly. Letting him arm go back he offered one to the man behind him if he wanted one, afterwards he put the pack back in his pocket.

"Don't ask me why I am helping you kid, I know the question might pop up sooner or later but truth is I don't know. Perhaps I still believe in protecting people and helping people who need that one person to help them, maybe I don't. I have lost my hope in humanity, I have seen some terrible things happen since this all started, things that make me think all these years I protected my country was a useless and unneeded gesture. When this first started I was at an airport trying to get home, thats where i got my first taste of how far humanity has fallen..."

Ohio International Airport
4:56 P.M.

Bang!

Leonardo lowered the gun as he watched the woman fall to the ground, twitch a couple times and then slowly pass away as the blood formed a puddle underneath her head. Looking back up the entire air port was in turmoil, people... hundreds of people were running and screaming everywhere, all around Leonardo could see people on the ground with another on top of them, their throats being tore out. It had happened so quick, the Military force at the airport had been taken down quickly and now it was nothing but a man slaughter. Leonardo quickly took foot and ran in the opposite direction of the crowd, as he ran he looked around, there were already people on the ground, they had been trampled by other people trying to escape. Leonardo had to get to hell out of this main terminal but how was the real question, he would have to get out the back way on the tarmac. Running towards the back doors Leonardo was quick as he ran down a back hallway, the screams were everywhere now there was no escaping it now. Just as he rounded a corner Leonardo heard a scream, quickly turning his head a mother and her young son were running from two men, they were both covered in blood, they were obviously dead. Raising the gun Leonardo pulled off two shots, each hit their marks knocking the infected back killing them instantly. Running up to the young mother and child Leonardo helped them up.

"We gotta get out of here can you run?"

The woman shakily nodded her head, Leonardo nodded to her as he quickly secured the area making sure there were no more infected and then began to dash down the hall way the mother picking up her child followed him. Soon they would be at the back entrance to the tarmac from there they had a better chance then in this zoo of panicking people. Leonardo saw the doors ahead in another moment they would be there, however it was the door crashing behind him that made him turn back, to his shock he saw double wide doors busted aside and infected were now pouring out of them.

"Shit! Come on we gotta move, once we get to the tarmac we have a chance."

Leonardo was about to run when he heard the woman speak.

"I know what do,.."

Leonardo turned around to ask what the hell she was talking about but when he saw her take her 5 year old son and break his leg he was horrified as she lay the child on the ground, the boy was crying hysterically now. The woman never even batted and eye, Leonardo raised the gun toawrds the woman.

"What the hell did you just do to your son you psychotic bitch!?"

"He will distract them long enough for us to get away."

"We could have made it! Move out of the way!"

Leonardo started to run back to grab the young child, but it was too late, the infected had been too close to begin with, all he saw was the boy get dragged away and there was a scream and then nothing. Leonardo swallowed hard as he looked at the woman with such distaste and anger.

"Now we have a chance lets..."

Leonardo pulled the trigger on the Beretta and shot the woman directly in the chest, as she fell back dead, he was breathing hard now trying to keep collected after what he just saw. Was this really happening right now? Leonardo quickly wiped a couple tears from his eyes as he muttered something under his breath, a prayer for the young boy, then he turned and ran crashing through the doors, onto the tarmac, and away from this hellish airport."

Leonardo became silent for a second when he finish the story as still thinking about it brought pain to him, the fact that he had not been able to save that poor boy, and how his mother merely sacrificed him so willingly and didn't even shed a god damn tear. It was at the point that he realized how sick and twisted the people had become, the same people he had defended, the same people he was taken to a POW camp for, the same people he suffered two long years for. He realized that all these years he was protecting a bunch of monsters, that when the hammer falls, they would turn on each other like animals.

"Maybe I am helping you because I still believe there can be good people out there, people that need help, people lost in a world of chaos. Maybe I am just going crazy and feel that helping you would bring me a sense of purpose again. Truth is I don't know and probably never will... how much longer to the house kid?"
"Good you made it Kid. A little late on the watch but no need to split hairs. Follow me and don't say anything, there will be no problems leaving with me but some of these soldiers... their on the edge so better to let me do the talking come on."

Leonardo walked forward coming to the gate, there were two guards at the front, two outside, and three more lounging about, if it went smoothly they would let him pass like they were suppose to. Then again some didn't know who he was yet and he didn't have time for a scene right now. Walking right up to the nearest guard Leonardo went to open the gate to get out when the guard opposite of him stepped in the way raising his rifle.

"No one leaves here Sir please return to your tent for your own safety. You as well back there."

Leonardo sighed and shook his head, he knew he should of just let John introduce him to the guards around here to save time and to avoid things like this. But Leonardo didn't want anyone to know him, it only spared the heart break later on when they eventually died.

"My name is Leonardo I am part of base security soldier, I am allowed to leave or enter any time I choose so if you could move I would appreciate it."

The guard did not persist in moving after Leonardo spoke, he merely cocked his weapon and pointed it directly at Leonardo's head.

"Nice try but I have never seen you before, which means your not part of base security and therefore your trying to leave here illegally so I ask again return your tent and remain there Sir."

"Listen to me soldier I don't want to cause a scene these people are scared enough as it is, just go ask the Major so we can get this over with all ri..."

Leonardo was interrupted when the soldier moved on him, another new guy who was overstepping his boundaries, the butt of the gun was aimed at Leonardo's stomach but it never hit its mark. Catching the gun with his hand Leonardo ripped it from the soldiers fingers and then flipped it around slamming the butt of the gun into his stomach knocking him to the ground. When the guard crippled to the ground Leonardo heard the coking of rifles, the other guards quickly caught on and intended to intervene it was only when a familiar voice spoke that they froze.

"What the hell is going on here, I come out here for some fresh air and one of you is attacking Leonardo. Why is it that wherever you go Leo that shit just starts and you end up laying out someone on the ground?"

"Theres no problem John I was showing this young man how to disarm and take down an assailant at close range, no need to worry. Isnt that right son?"

Leonardo turned to the soldier he had hit, he slowly got to his feet and looked at Leonardo then the Major and weakly nodded his head. Leonardo handed the rifle back to the young man and turned back to John.

"See nothing wrong here. I am going out on my recon now John I should be back by night fall make sure the soldiers don't shoot me and my volunteer here will you."

"Riiight just a demonstration... ok then Leo good luck on your recon."

With that Leonardo nodded to Luke and opened the gate walking out. When they got a good enough distance away from the gate and any ears Leonardo turned to Luke and spoke to him.

"Listen up Kid, now that were past the gate your free to do as you wish. Im pretty sure you had no intention of remaining with me anyways, and if thats the plan then I wont stop you from leaving. I am not into holding people against their will under the pretense of keeping them safe. If you want to remain with me then I will help you find your friend, but you have to tell me where this person is and who they are, thats all I ask. The choice is yours, but time is wasting so make your decision quickly."

(Sort of a quick post i got so busy today, just wanted to get things moving along)
Heaven Forbid that Leonardo and Maria end up in a group together thats an explosive combination lol
Leonardo didn't bat an eye even when the woman started telling him off, in fact he found it almost amusing that she thought that she had any power at all anymore. In all truth Leonardo neither had time nor the need to fight back or even argue with this woman. It was obvious to him that she was just an overrprivileged, snobby, rich bitch who liked to throw her weight around because she needed to feel important about herself. However he did turn back last second before he left and got real close to her saying something that the other man couldn't hear.

"I am not a soldier sweet heart, in fact its been fifteen year since I was one. You think your overprivileged life and your money gives you the power of insight... however when it comes down to it your just as stupid and blind as the rest of us. You might want to start getting used to this fact because your words, your money, your so called power don't mean jack shit anymore. Have a nice day."

With that Leonardo gave her a nod that was meant as more of an insult then anything else. However right before he left he did turn around one last time to say one more thing to the woman.

"An also if it wasn't for men like me, people like you would be dead by now, so why don't you find a little humility and show some respect. You might think of me as a piece of trash under your shoe... but when the dominoes fall and tumble and are about to crush you, just remind yourself who would be saving your ass."

An with that Leonardo completely left and quickly lost sight of her before she opened her big mouth to talk more shit to him. He had to get back to his tent and finish with his route he was planning on using before he left. When the younger man fell in step with him he silently looked over at him, he looked a tad distressed and soon enough when he spoke Leonardo knew why.

"Don't worry kid, I have meant woman like her before in my life, she doesn't really bother me all that much. Just be at the gate in another fifteen minutes and we will leave. I have to finish going over my route plan... the same plan she thought I didn't have. Don't be late if your not there by time im leaving then there is no choice but to leave you behind."

With that the young man nodded to him and Leonardo was on his own again, walking the length of tents Leonardo came to his own temporary tent and walked in, the center of the tent had a small table with a map on it, a couple sharpies, and a protractor, in one corner was a black pack, the rest of the tent was empty besides a small folding chair. Taking a seat Leonardo looked at the map, from the different scouting parties he had spoke to it seemed that the larger portions of the infected were concentrated around centrals point within Los Angele's. Slowing drawing a couple circles he shaded them in with red, taking a look at the road system he knew that he would have to use the outskirts to keep out of heavy infected area's. He had seen this before at the other camps, large groups of infected in different key points on the map, however the problem was that they moved in a large horde of a group, for what he didn't know, he could only guess more food to sate their endless hunger for fresh human flesh.

He had to figure out if these large groups were moving and if so what direction they were heading in. Three camps, three different states, and several different groups of infected, and what they had in common was that each camp was destroyed when these large hordes moved and located the refugee camps. If this was happening now, he knew there was nothing he could do to stop it, in fact the way it was now all of these people would be in risk of dieing, which is why he hoped that the chain of events that had destroyed the last three camps was not in fact happening here now. He could not deny that the man was right to be scared of this camp... this place was far from safe, and almost half or even more of this camp were severely oblivious to the fact. Taking the protractor Leonardo drew a couple more lines with black sharpy, connecting certain roads soon enough time had passed by pretty quick. Checking his watch it was time to get back to the gate and get going, taking the map off the table and the rest of effects he placed them in the black pack and pick it up, he slung it around his shoulder. Walking out of his tent he was at the gate in only a couple minutes, checking his watch the man about five minutes to get here then he was leaving.
"Your not going to escape... being one of the men who has watched three of these camps fall already I know well enough that you will get caught."

Leonardo walked silently from the side of the tent he was hiding besides as he got in full view of both the man and the woman he was talking to. Reaching into his coat pocket he removed a cigarette and placed it in his mouth, with a click of his zippo he lite it and took a deep drag off of it and blew the smoke into the air watching it disappear for a split second before drawing his attention back to the man.

"This place was built to keep people inside, and even more it is meant to keep things out, the men in this base are watching day an night, an unless you knew the rotation times and had a lot of luck, sneaking past all of them would be impossible. On another note I must apologize for ease dropping on you, I was nearby when they brought you in and was curious as to what was going on. Its one of my jobs you see to make sure that there are no plots on the inside of the camp, and usually the first thing you look for is someone who is loud and unruly its usually a good indication."

Leonardo moved forward as he took the cigarette in between his finger and made his way to the wall, leaning against it he took the weight off his legs and blew out another puff of smoke as he looked around the area. It seemed to be empty enough so they could talk privately without someone listening in on them.

"Now the way I see it, the only way your going to leave this camp is in three ways, one you get permission to leave which is very unlikely given the pretenses of why you were brought here. Two you can try to fight your way out and die and then get carried out, or three you find someone who has a decent pull around here to get you out. As it so happens I am one of those people, and as it may be I am going on a solo recon in about twenty minutes. Now lets imagine I requisition a few civilian volunteers or so to help me, would you be willing to accompany me on my recon?"

Leonardo raised his eye brow as he looked at the man, getting up off the wall he blew another puff of smoke into the air.

"If your answer is yet then walk to the gate in twenty minutes, if not then you will have to find your own way out, but remember this... if you intend to go under the cover of darkness remember that its harder to identify someone who is alive or dead with no light."

With that Leonardo tossed the near burned out cigarette aside and walked away from the two.
"Were coming up now Sir, thats Camp Pendleton dead ahead."

Leonardo looked at the pilot from the back seat of the Huey they sat in, he didn't really like it when people used the phrase dead ahead anymore and it seemed like a bad joke now and days used by the younger soldiers. Leonardo couldn't blame him he guessed, some of these young boys were fresh out of basic trying to make sense of something no one could. They had lost so many soldiers over the last couple weeks to this damned plague, now they were struggling just to get soldiers into the field. Leonardo looked at his watch it was just caressing 12:00 pm now, looking out the window he got his first view of Pendleton, the camp was large from the Aeriel view... too large in a lot of ways. Leonardo couldn't help but think that it was an accident waiting to happen here, you couldn't secure a camp of this size, and he knew that well... too well for his liking in some cases.

"Beginning our descent Sir, the Major is going to meet you on the pad and get you up to date."

Leonardo nodded his head not really bothering to speak to the young pilot, feeling the descent of the helicopter he grabbed a hand hold as they went down rather fast, and then no sooner a red light came on with a blaring alarm. Leonardo didn't freak to much as he knew the landing would probably be a bit rocky given the make shift heli pad they were going to be landing on. When the thump came signifying the helicopter was landed Leonardo went forward and pulled open the door and climbed out ducking the blades cautiously, as mentioned the Major was on the pad.

"You look like a CIA spook or some shit in that suit Leonardo, man you definitively have changed a fair bit since I last saw you."

Leonardo smiled to himself for a second as he looked at Major Frederick, when he had come here he had not expected to see anyone he knew from his former military days, hell he half expected the Camp to be gone by time he got here. It had been a long two weeks for Leonardo, he had been sent to three different refugee camps and all of them had fallen. It was no big secret that this infection whatever it was, was spreading like a damn forest fire and it was only getting worse everyday it lasted. The smile on his face was gone as quick as it came as he recounted the fallen Camps that lay behind him, it was not his fault really but he couldn't help but feel responsible for the fact that they are now dead camps.

"Frederick how the hell did you end up here? I didn't think I would see that ugly face again in my life time."

Leonardo started following Frederick down the stairs of the helipad, looking up the helicopter took off and disappeared into the distance and was then gone, probably back to the main base, who knew or cared in the end.

"Heard you were coming here, so I made sure to transfer myself so I could be insulted by you one more time. God knows at this point I could be dead at any time..."

Leonardo heard the edge in Fredericks voice when he spoke the last part. After that there was a steady silence between the two it seemed that they both knew now was not the time for bickering between old friends. Leonardo took the time to look around the camp as he followed Fredericks, the look was the same and the feel was the same as the last camps. The looks in the eyes of these people, it was a look of fright, sadness, hopelessness, Leonardo had seen a lot of that the past weeks and he knew the look well. An he knew well enough that he was going to be seeing more of this before it was over, that is if he didn't die before the end came, reaching into his jacket pocket Leonardo removed a pack of smoke and slowly removed one from it and lite it with a tarnished silver zippo. Taking a few drags off of it he let the smoke fillow out of his nose as he looked at the soldiers near by passing out water, Leonardo nodded to a couple ladies passing by him as he followed the Major into a near by tent. Inside the large tent was appeared to be a basic set up, communications devices on one side a table in the center and a desk at the far end, this was most definitively the command tent, Leonardo took a seat in one of the folding chairs and removed the cracked golden framed aviators from his face setting them on the table. When the Major sat down they both seemed to look at each other red eye for red eyes.

"You look like hell Leonardo, I am guessing you have seen some action these past weeks."

"Too much action John I have watched three separate camps fall to these... things. The last one I was lucky to escape with my life in tact which is why I am not so thrilled to be at this camp right now."

"I know what you mean, I was at a couple other camps myself before being stationed here they didn't make it either. Its like a damn tidal wave, they just... wash over camps relentlessly in large hordes, and the people they panic and everything fails..."

Leonardo saw that look in Johns eye's as he sighed and took another drag off the cigarette, it looked like he had not been the only one who had seen this hell in full force. Leonardo removed the pack of smokes from his pocket and pushed them across the table to John who looked down and slowly picked them up. John had quit smoking long ago like Leonardo had but since all this started what was the point anymore? Watching John remove a smoke from the pack Leonardo took out the tarnished silver zippo, the once marine insignia now fading off the casing and pushed it across to John who lit the cigarette and took a long drag off of it.

"Whats the situation here John?"

"Honestly its shit, more and more people are coming here by the day, looking for safety, food, a home, a missing family member, and the truth is we are running out of room for all these people. Not to mention we can't let everyone in because of infection, they don't take to it kindly, they don't understand that once your bite, its over. They fight because their scared and want to be safe, oblivious to the fact that their life is already forfeit. An the kids... god its so depressing to see then orphans here, sad and just... gone from what they have seen. It was so much easier fighting in other countries because at least then we were fighting for something, towards and end... this... has no end and its happening to the people we took an oath to protect, and I would be a lier if I said it didn't get to me a lot of the time."

"Its not easy on me either John, some days are better then other, some days I feel like I can go on, and others I feel like im losing my mind. A lot of days I just isolate myself from everyone because I can't stand to be around people anymore. An it hasn't gotten any better knowing that my wife is dead and my son is missing, probably dead too..."

They both became silent after that for a time, neither one of them really wanted to revisit those memories anymore. In fact Leonardo just wanted to go somewhere where these was no people and stay there for the rest of his life and never come back. But it was undeniable that the thing that kept him going was that perhaps he could find his son, or even his long lost brother. Pipe dreams at most, but everyone needed something to hold on to, and that was all Leonardo had now. When the tent flap opened both of them looked back at a soldier, the man saluted hastily and spoke.

"Sir we have a troublesome man at the gate, he is bitten but he says it wasn't by an infected and he making a large fuss."

"Great always something..."

John got up and Leonardo did as well, following him out they walked through the camp quickly and came upon the front gate, already they could hear the screaming it was obvious the man was panicking or had lost his mind, whatever the case the last thing they needed was one man panicking the rest. As they both walked up a couple soldiers were inside the gate trying to get the man to leave but he had no intention of doing so. They kept their guns pointed at him to keep him a distance from the gate.

"You bastards! I told you I am not infected I wasn't bitten by one of those things! Let me in!"

John walked up to the gate as Leonardo came up behind him, this wasn't the first time this had happened, probably the hundredth actually, they could not let him in regardless of if it was true or not, fact was they didn't know any couldn't risk it. As John moved towards the gate, to deal with the man, Leonardo put his hand on his shoulder.

"Ill take care of him John."

Leonardo walked to the gate and slowly he unlatched it and slid outside and walked to the man who was obviously frustrated.

"Sir you can't come in, if your telling the truth or not is irrelevant, the fact of the matter is we can not and will not admit you through the gate because we can't risk the lives of all these people if your in fact infected you must understand this."

"You know what I understand...?"

When the punch came Leonardo had not expected it, the mans fist made a connection with his jaw and for a split second Leonardo's eye sight went a bright white as he smacked the dusty ground. When Leonardo came back to reality he heard the screaming of the soldiers threatening to shoot the man if he didn't back up, slowly regaining his feet Leonardo put his hand up to tell the soldiers to back down.

"Don't fire... we don't need a panic or and uproar I will take care of it..."

Leonardo lifted his hand to his jaw and with a sick crack put it back in place, moving his jaw around a little bit it was burning with hot pain, wiping the blood from his busted lip Leonardo looked at the man, he was now officially pissed off and that was in no way a good thing, but he kept his cool the best he could as he spoke.

"Tell you what... you can enter... if you can get past me... one lucky shot means nothing..."

The man was clearly agitated now, when he came forward Leonardo was more then ready for it this time, the punch came directly for his stomach backing off slightly the punch fell short. Going forward Leonardo grabbed the outstretched mans arm and twisted it, turning his back to the man Leonardo flipped him to the ground pretty hard. Leonardo spit some blood out of his mouth as he turned his back on the man and walked back towards the gate. When he felt the punch land in his back however Leonardo went forward as he felt and arm going over his throat. Getting pulled in Leonardo brought his head back and slammed the man directly in the nose, the man screamed as Leonardo turned under his lightened grip, backing up slightly he charged forward and drove his head into the mans stomach hard. Then he brought his arm down and brought it directly under the mans crotch and yanked him off the ground for a split second an did a take down slamming him on his back. Leonardo rounded the man, he was dazed now quickly taking his arm Leonardo put it between his legs and then hit the ground putting the man in a reverse arm hold. The man screamed but he was now trapped and he wasn't going no where.

"Now I am going to let you go... if you don't leave the next time I am going to break this arm and then your other one. Do you understand?"

Leonardo brought the mans arm forward in a cockeyed position as it cracked alittle making the man scream again.

"Do you understand!?"

"Yes!"

"Good..."

Leonardo released the mans arm as he quickly pulled it back grabbing his shoulder and then high tailing it away from the fence. Leonardo brought his hand to his jaw again as it felt numb from it being punched out of place. Walking back to the gate John was looking at him almost bemused that he had got decked in the face. Reaching the gate Leonardo looked at John.

"I don't want to hear it John... lucky shot nothing more."

"Sure it was or maybe your just old now."

"Shut up or I will put you in a guillotine."

They both smiled for a brief moment, a laugh in the midst of dark times, they both needed it but it wouldn't last long. That was the one consequence of this new hellish place... hapiness was but a minute compared to the eternity of misery..
Sweet! Intro post time ^^

Name: Leonardo Strozza Moretti

Age: 55

Gender: Male

Family:

  • Father / Anthony Moretti / 57 / Deceased before infection

  • Mother / Annabelle Stroza Moretti / 68 / Deceased before infection

  • Brother / Leo Moretti / 30 / Status unknown

  • Wife / Ashley Moretti / 49 / Deceased during infection

  • Son / Leon Moretti / 25 / Status unknown

  • Personality: Has what you might consider a really colorful personality, back in the day he was always a man that liked to smile, crack some jokes, hang out with friends on the weekend and was in general a very happy type of man. However now he has gone very secluded and does not often find himself talking to anyone, even if there was anyone to even talk to. Over the time since the infection he has not lost his mind per say but he is now very angry and in some cases living on the edge and very quick to anger in the end. He no longer believes in things like hope and happiness he feels that they are just a stupid delusion and a lie to comfort yourself in a world where there is none. He has become very analytical and looks at things from a realistic point of view. Deep down inside past the coldness that has engulfed him, he is still a gentle caring man, who just wants to be happy again, a loyal man who still wants to help people. But his inner emotions are often stifled by the nightmares and the memories he holds now and often does not show past his cold outer rocky shell. All in all he is at war on the inside between who he is and who he is becoming, everyday the struggle goes on he loses a little bit more of the man he used to be. To what end this will come to is unknown, but if something doesn't change he will never be the same man he was before again.

Bio: Leonardo was born in Florence Italy to a poor family many years ago, his life was what you might consider normal at least yo him. His parents were loving and tried their damn hardest to make his life worth something living. However more often then not life as a poor family in Italy never went well, and Leonardo grew up in a society of rich pricks who often looked down on him for his poor family. Most of Leonardo's life was spent very lonely and often more then not wondering how much more he could take in the end. While this existence was shitty Leonardo also learned humility and learned early in life what the true important things in life really were. All through school and his younger life Leonardo struggled a lot, and when his younger brother was born it only became ever more taxing on him and he was forced to leave school to find a job to help support his young brother Leo. Life only got harder after this when Leonardos father passed away of a massive heart attack, if things had been hard before it was even worse now, money was no non existent and Leonardos mother fell into a very deep depression which caused her to spend what little money they did have on alcohol to kill her own pain. Its not hard to guess that after a couple years Leonardos mother drank herself to death one night which was the final straw that threw everything over the edge.

After the funeral it was just Leonardo and his brother Leo, knowing that they had no real future in Florence, Leonardo took his younger brother and migrated to America so they could both start a new life away from the pain and memories. Soon enough they found themselves in a small town in Georgia, with only a couple thousand dollars to their names they found a small seedy apartment where they started their new lives. However money and jobs was not easy to come by and soon enough they were running out of money and Leonardo did the only thing he could and joined the American military to attempt to make ends meet and support his brother the best he could. Nothing became easier after that, in fact it only worsened, the fights between Leonardo and his brother started because Leo often worried Leonardo would die leaving him alone, and Leonardo would often fight that they needed the money. After a couple years of this Leonardo and Leo ended up hating each other and in the end Leo left for good to make his own life somewhere else, and Leonardo joined the military and made it his career so he would never have to go back and relive the fact that all he did was nothing more then failure.

Leonardo spent fifteen years in the Marines, it got to the point that the army life was all he really knew, and he was doing pretty good for himself that is until a mission went wrong in a far away country and he was taken as a POW, and Leonardo spent untold years in an enemy POW camp before he regained his freedom from it, the circumstances on how he escaped are still widely unknown and he chooses not to talk about it. Leonardo retired from the military after that choosing to explore other roads, one of which was marrying the woman he had meant after his escape from the camp, the woman who would become his wife, Ashley. Life was mediocre at best after they got married, money became scarce again and they were struggling even when their son Leon was born. It wasn't until Leonardo was forty when he was contacted by the Government and ofter a special job. When all was said and done Leonardo took this job and life changed dramatically, money started rolling in and life changed dramatically for Leonardo and his family. By time Leonardo was fifty himself and his family was finally living a life of luxury and he spared no expense for them, but with the good there was bad for his job often took him away from home for long amounts of time and this often stressed his relationship with his wife.

Leonardo was gone when the infection began when everything in the world changed, by time he got home his wife and Son were no longer there and the world was going to shit in a had basket quicker then he could handle. A lot of what happened after he found his family gone is unknown accept by him, but what is known is that his wife is dead and son is still missing from him presumed dead in any case. After this tragedy Leonardo was sent to different Refugee camps over the next two weeks to help with containment and all of them fell to the dead and each time Leonardo barely escaped with his life. Now Leonardo is at a Camp called Pendleton attempting to tide the Walkers who attack it day and night, one of the last Camps left where people are still trying to find safety, but how long it will last, know one can know.
