Personality: Around allies Nina can be quite antagonistic. She has no problem voicing her opinion about things, especially when she believes the person/wolf she is speaking to is beneath her. When facing enemies or potential threats Nina can be down right evil. She has a sometimes unhealthy obsession with making others bleed and scream.
Her heart may be black, but it still beats. Nina does have the ability to love and nurture, yet her kinder side is rarely seen by others. Only those who can truly earn her trust and loyalty will be privileged enough to experience her softer side.
Strengths (at least 3):- Supernatural Stamina - Nina's body is highly resistant to the build-up of fatigue toxins in her blood, allowing her to be physically active for considerably longer periods of time than the average member of the her's species. So even though she may not be as strong or fast as her opponent Nina will most definitely out last them.
- Urban Tracking - Nina is an excellent hunter in urban settings where scents, sounds, and lights can overlap and sometimes overwhelm the senses.
- Vicious - Nina does not pull punches with her enemies and knows how to exploit their weaknesses.
Weaknesses (at least 3):- Arrogance - Nina has an overabundance of confidence in her abilities and her looks. If this was a teen drama series Nina would be the 'Queen Bitch" of the school.
- Unforgiving - Slighting Nina or doing wrong by her is not recommended. It may very well end an alliance, friendship, or your life.
- Sadistic - She enjoys inflicting pain and suffering on her opponents a little too much.
- Townie Nina is more comfortable in urban settings than she is the wild. She prefers to live her life in towns and small cities than she running around in the woods, so her woodland survival skills aren't all that great.
- Newbie - New to town, Nina has yet to fully grasp the culture and geography of the town and the surrounding area.
History: Nikolina Ivanova was the only daughter and child to two loving parents. Throughout her childhood she was loved and spoiled by her family. While not millionaires, Nina's family was quite wealthy.
During the summer of her fifteenth year, Nina, her parents, and her neighbors went camping near the Appalachian Trail. A couple mountain men came into their campsite frightening Nina and the two neighbor kids so that their screaming immediately startled their parents awake. The adults tried to get the two strangers to leave, but they refused. The men carrying rifles yelled at the families, stating they shouldn't be the mountains for it was too dangerous. Suddenly from out of the darkness of the forest three very large wolves charged the campsite. Within the chaos that ensued young Nina was scratched by one of the lupines.
Life for Nina would slowly start to spiral out of control. On the next full moon after the attack Nina suffered her first change... and very nearly died. The beast that now lived inside the girl was angry, arrogant, and hungry. She had trouble controlling her transformations and emotions in those early months. She became a danger to her family, friends and virtually anyone she met.
Until she met Leeana. Leeana was a gorgeous Japanese girl with beautiful amber eyes and long thick hair dyed silvery white. She smelled of peach and roses. Leeana was also a werewolf. Nina eventually learned to trust the Asian wolf, and Leeana gladly took Nina under her wing. Over the next twelve months Nina and Leeana would developed a strong bond. Not only were they teacher and student, they soon became romantically involved. Seven months ago Nina moved in with Leeana and her foster family who were also werewolves. Leeana was Nina's first love.
Five months ago, hunters invaded Leeana's family home. The family were murdered in their home and the house burned to the ground, but miraculously Nina managed to escape death. She would move back in with her parents.
Things were stable for a little while until Nina's supernatural nature was accidently revealed to her family.Not wanting to place her parents in any more danger than she had already Nina planned to leave once again. But, hunters found her again. Her mother was severely injured in the battle. Filled with guilt and anger and emptying her rather large bank account, Nina left her hometown in Virginia.
Nina arrived in Odessa roughly fourteen days ago. After only four days she bought a small, two story building just off of main street with the intent of using much of the second story as living quarters and the first floor as a place of business.
Other:- Kendo Stick - This training weapon belonged to Leeana. Nina is not trained in it's use nor does she intend to use as a weapon. The charred memento of her first love hangs above Nina's bed.
- Nina wears a necklace and ring she received from her mother on her 16th birthday. The metal of both pieces of jewelry is silver and the stones are lapis lazuli.
- Westfield Books - Named after her first love, Nina has spent a good chunk of her savings on a small two story building located just off of Main Street. Much of the upper floor is devoted to her living quarters while the first floor is open to the public. Westfield Books sells both new and used books, and has a healthy occult/new age selection. The basement of the building stores Nina's personal book collection as well as a few collector's editions.
