Midway CityIn the wake of Fate plowing through the snake-men, Knight redirected Aliff’s head and made him chew down on a license plate. From there she kicked his big head up and connected with a few haymakers, before he found his footing.
The hybrid launched at her and got back into his Martial Art position, raising his arms like a drunk T-Rex. Once again, he struck with his fingers like a pincer and was punished for it with a karate chop to the neck. And then another after his second miss.
“Your snake fighting style doesn’t work so well against a fast opponent, does it?” she taunted, hoping to create further openings in her opponent.
“I’ll hit you when the poison reaches your heart … wait, why isssn’t it working? The venom should have brought you to your knees by now.”Knight responded by doing a very energetic jump from side to side, arms raised.
“W-what are you?” Aliff asked, suddenly proving that snakes indeed could show - maybe not fear, but concern - in their face.
Knight placed a finger at her lips, before adverting another claw and kicking it, so its owner once again lost balance. She broke the windshield of a car, hurled the shards into his eyes and parked several elbows in his jaw, until it reminded her of jelly.
With the lovely sound of an overgrown snake-general collapsing into the trunk of a car, Knight breathed a sigh of victory.
Yay, one down, ten generals to go or something! Not even sarcasm, as thick as Aliff’s skull, could completely restore her to full strength. However, it still helped. Knowing full well that she could not allow herself to stop, Knight launched through the path, created by the enormous Ankh of Fate.
All around cultists were starting to recover: shaking their heads, pushing comrades aside to get back up.
Knight ended up next to Warden where she slide over the asphalt and took away an extraordinary big brute’s footing. Then with all her might and ingenuity she engaged the generals.
