I explained it to Lily earlier... Basically, I'm like a human sponge for magic... I absorb way too much from surroundings. I'm a danger both to myself and people around me. The seal allows me to sort of get a better control of it. Think of it like a nozzle at the end of a hose. That sort of thing.

So you don’t have things like Mana-sharing? In my world, mana was an energy source that determined whether an individual can use magic. When one is out of mana it’s more like running out of battery. The only thing that becomes harmful is a sudden surge of magical energy. Which is why I wear my seal.

I have an unusually small capacity for mana. To compensate, I learned when I was young how to channel magic through catalysts, like this metal. Channeling isn't all that uncommon, but it can make a mage appear to have much more mana than they actually do. Lily, being an airhead, didn't bother checking my actual mana levels and possessed me. When I ran out of mana, she couldn't use me as a host anymore and we've been stuck like this ever since.

Interesting. I didn't know Lily needed someone like that. But it seems like it doesn't bother her much.

Wait, is that why you got mana poisoning when Lily possessed you? I'm still not quite sure how to make sense of it. I've never heard of such a thing in my world.

I've never been much of a storyteller... We fought a small fire elemental dragon a few days ago. With the help of some other party members, we created a huge vacuum around the dragon and snuffed it out without ever engaging in combat.

Dragons huh? In world they're were near extinction. Did they talk? I mean... Were they intelligent?
