Current College is now taking over some of my life... I shall be unable to RP for some time.

I've been watching Gundam Build Fighter and now I want a mecha RP or learn how to do arena stuff for Mechas. Damn it, my cravings are all over the place.

The physical and spirit worlds don't mix like that where we're from. One might subjugate the other, but that kind of relationship isn't something anyone wants, human or otherworldly. It's... one of the great taboos.

*I look up seemingly in thought before turning back to Gio*

I can see why you would see it as a little strange for a divine and a mortal to walk the same life... For us, it was always understood that our realms were intertwined in someway. Limited, but intertwined. Our destinies, whether we like it or not are dependent on each other. Mortals keep the plane inhabit the plane of existence, but the very world is alive with the divine. Mana, a gift of the divines to mortals is one such thing. However, once you die, you go to the ascendant plane - the plane of the divines.

*I then draw the relationship in a sort of simple way with a stick on the ground*

That's why it was strange for me to see Lily with you. For us, Lily would be an anomaly, spirits ascend and get reincarnated or stay in the ascendant plane. They're the result of life and thus in death they cannot stay in our plane of existence, not without some sort of reason to stay.

*Nods, looking up and to the side in thoughtful surprise*
Different world indeed. That kind of thing is unthinkable where we’re from.

*Looks towards Gio with a hand on my chin*

What was it like in your world?

*Tracks along, nodding in mild surprise until the end, and I raise my eyebrows*
Married a divine? What are those, where you're from?

Well, from folklore, they're what you'd know as gods and goddesses. They used to roam around our world before ascending to the ascendant plane. The first mage was alive during those times. It was said that a divine disguised as a mortal woman, explored the world to learn more about the people she governed over. She met the first mage and through their adventures, she fell in love. The rest is history.

Where are you from? Some kind of monk temple but for mages?

I was born in a temple like place. Our order was a secretive one, from what I understood, many of us were descendants of the first mage who, with divine intervention, learned the secrets of mana manipulation and created what we know as magic. Since then, there were many others who were able to discover magic, however, our order was special in the regard where we were blood related to the first mage. It's even speculated that the first mage was married to a divine, which would explain how many in our order were quite strong in the ways of magic.

Are there any spells that need way too much mana to charge? Sounds like you could rapid fire a few of those.

There's a number of them... But the cast time is the problem. I can't cast them faster than I can absorb magic. Honestly, it's amazing I made it to this age without accidentally killing myself. But then again, I was surrounded by masters of our craft and the place where our circle of mages were was enchanted to prevent others with my ability from hurting themselves or others. Usually, people learn to control it, I was a special case.

I see what you're saying. It lets you recharge your reservoir with the mana around you.

Mhm... But... It's too strong. Way too much for me to handle, I'd pop like a balloon in a great big mana explosion. That's if I don't use the mana up constantly, which in a way is dangerous because I can't properly manage how much energy I put into spells making them unstable.
<Snipped quote by Vacare>

Your natural magic absorption doesn't do that?

Magic is a refined form of mana for us... Think about it like this, you can sip on water, but not after it's been turned into ice. Once mana is is turned into something else, it can't be absorbed until the effects of the spell take place. There might be excess mana from the spell, but other than that, I can't absorb the whole thing. When I say Magical energy, I usually mean Ambient mana...
"You mean this eyepatch? As a member of the Crimson Demon Clan, this patch is necessary to restrain my immense magical power."

Lol >XD It's more like this though.

<Snipped quote by Vacare>

What about other mages' spells?

It can't protect me from those, so it's more dependent on my ability to counter them.
<Snipped quote by Vacare>

Does it work on spells or skills that rely on magic?

What, my seal? If you mean in the sense that if I remove it my spells become more powerful, yes and no... Yes since I'm no longer in control of how much mana I put into it, no because it's a lot less precise and refined, hence why it could be dangerous for me to remove.
