"What?" Sasha replied in an annoyed tone. "We earned it."

She grabbed two more staves for good measure, after she ascertained that no one else was interested in the loot. They were finally done with pillaging the man's base. However, Ren came back empty-handed from the only unexplored room. What did the Void Wizard want us to find out? Almost feels like he wanted us to die here.

The group proceeded to leave the building, which was now eerily quiet and empty. At the ground floor, the Enforcers happened to be coming up from the basement staircase. After a brief conversation, Henry revealed that the hunters had been tracking them and other ability users for some unknown goal. Right after told the gamers to go home, a window notified Sasha that the quest had been completed. It was handy the system was telling them that they had just heard what they needed to know. It almost seemed too easy, actually.

Sasha took a deep breath. She was relieved that she managed to survive the night, despite the powerful enemies they faced. She was also looking forward to training her skills more. If there was anything tonight had taught her, it would be that they were still too weak in the Abyss. A mere lowly summon had killed Erica, who was also a Gamer.

She also remembered the sensation when her blade pierced through Taichi's flesh. Never in her life had she harmed another human being, let alone take their life. Yet, it all felt so distant. As if it was only natural for her to do so.

"Hey, Silas..." Sasha began, voice unusually quiet. "Did you feel anything? When you attacked the Mage, I mean."
Sasha frowned for a brief moment. Silas seemed to be bothered by something.

"I'm pretty sure those potions would come in handy even for you," Sasha said as she took four bottles herself. There was still plenty in the box. Next, she grabbed a staff, a pseudospace stone, and one Antinite crystal. She swept up the remainder of the orange dust too, since no one else needed it.

"And this," she said, holding a palm-sized gemstone between her fingers. "Just check it out and you'll see why you would probably want one." Sasha tossed the stone at him, then took another one for herself. Her ears perked up when she overheard Lucian talking to Mike.

"Hey, if he's not having it, I want the stone too... unless, hmm, you let me have the rest of the staves," the girl asked coyly. In any case, she would take anything leftover to sell on the Abyss market.
Honestly I'm regretting not making a character that specializes in crafting. Would be fun.

EDIT: I played a homebrew Enchanter sorcerer in a WoD game once, and the GM allowed me to quickly enchant items in battle for very temporary effects (lasts the battle only). In essence, it allowed me to do almost anything to an item, albeit using up a turn to charge it up. It made for some very fun gameplay- exploding beer bottles, anti-magic bullets, etc.
He could always use the money to buy equipment on the Abyss.
"W-wait!" Sasha called after Mike, who grumbled about the lack of good items. He seemed to be in a bad mood. "There's a bookshelf over there. Where Ren is? There might be some skill books you could use."
The sound of wood breaking attracted Sasha's attention, and she went to investigate, taking the book with her. Lucian and Mike were going through the crates at the side of the room. Sasha's eyes lit up at the sight of the various items.

"I think I'll forgive that dude for not dropping any loot now. This is a treasure trove! God, I want everything." Giving the spoils a cursory inspection, she mulled about her decision. Obviously she couldn't horde everything to herself when this was a team effort. While she was usually self-centered, she knew to at least obey some basic social rules- like not pissing off your allies.

"The Familial Gem, of course. The staff... I can use. I've been dabbling in Arcane Magic, and enchantments, so I really want that dust too. I'd take one pseudospace stone and one Antinite crystal if possible, just to experiment with them. In any case, we should take them all- the staves would sell for a lot on the market even if we don't use them." Sasha was almost drooling when she finished her sentence. She was almost horrified at the sudden realization that she really loved getting money. The things this whole incident is teaching me... and I'm now a murderer.

"Silas, don't be such a cold fish. Come over here!" Sasha yelled at the silent figure at the doorway. Sasha wasn't sure why he was acting this way- could Erica's death hit him harder than she thought? "You okay?"
Unfortunately, Sasha isn't a nice person.
So much loot. *drools*
"That's nifty," Sasha commented as Ren waved his hands around to fill up everyone's health bars. She didn't expect Ren to give her a detailed report on the specifics of the battle, but he did. Seems like quite the battle happened while they were busy finding their way here.

Looking back at the dusty tome in her hands, the pop-up window identified its arcane title as being A beginner's guide to Spatial Magic. She showed it to Ren. "Have a look at this. Spatial magic... sounds powerful. I can't learn it yet, though. Any luck for you?"
Listening to Taichi's final words, Sasha raised her arms. Splatters of thick red liquid painted most of her forearms. It wasn't disgusting, on the contrary, Sasha found the way the reflections danced on the slick crimson surface mesmerizing. Stronger predators?

"I have." Sasha replied to the dead man. She flicked some blood off her swords and stowed them away in her inventory. Ren, Omnial and Mike seemed to be injured but still alive. It was going to be a bummer telling them what happened to Erica. They were strangely quiet about the matter as they went to search for their spoils of victory. Perhaps Keiko told them already?

"Sorry for the kill-steal, totally didn't mean it." Sasha joked as the group finally reunited. Looking around the room, she decided the bookcase might contain something of interest. Ren was already there, scanning through the titles. She joined him.

"He must have been a pretty tough guy? You're all injured," Sasha said as she manually took out a random book.
