The wind was uncharacteristically cool for this time of year, caressing Vrissa’s face as Vulpen flew faster and higher. It had been too long since she had flown with Vulpen, and the animal gave her quite the cold shoulder when she first approached him. She frowned at the thought, truly hating that she wasn’t able to see him as much and that they weren’t invited to go with the army to do the raids. It would have been a spectacular show she thought to herself, her long braid whipping behind her. They flew for what felt like hours, and when it was time to return Vulpen landed so lightly on his feet that it took Vrissa looking down over him to verify they were on land. She whipped a leg around and slid off his back, Vulpen giving a slight jolt to knock her off balance.

“You horrid beast,” she said as she scratched his head and leaned her forehead against his. “I’m sorry it had been so long. I tried to convince them to let us go, but the Sargent was firm with his answer.” Vulpen shifted his feet and snorted, bumping his head into her chest lightly. Vrissa chuckled softly. “You are truly a horrid beast.”

After saying her goodbyes and leaving a few choice carrots behind that she accidentally grabbed from the kitchens, Vrissa made her way back towards the mess halls. She preferred visiting him early in the mornings or very late at night, so there were less eyes about to watch them together. As she pushed the doors open she saw a few men already in there, beer mugs in hand. Her eyes narrowed and her face set in a stoic fashion. Truthfully, she hated most of the other men and women who served, their obnoxious and crude behaviors deterring her from ever talking with them. Methodically she went to the line and grabbed her usual: eggs, bacon, an apple and a cup of water. When she sat down at a table by herself, she grabbed a napkin and wrapped the apple up. Not much, but it’s better than what he has been getting , Vrissa thought as she tucked the apple away.

Just then Vrissa noticed him, and from the looks of it he was already in a sour mood. I can’t blame him , she thought, the incompetence in this room alone is enough to frustrate any leader . She took a few bites of her eggs, eyeing The Exalt as he walked and sat at a table. Quickly she shoved some bacon in her mouth and finished her eggs. From the looks of it, this breakfast was about to end. Sure enough, a loud banging on a table followed by some yelling quieted the room, The Exalt barking for everyone to leave. She scraped the last bit of eggs into her mouth and got up, leaving the mess halls quietly. Vrissa walked around the back of the building slowly, hands clasped behind her back, allowing her thoughts to ramble in her head. If only we had been there, then the outcome may have been different . Although very unlikely that one, sole Pegasus Knight would change the fact that the Shepherds had not been captured yet, Vrissa was eager to serve and prove herself.

Suddenly the shattering of glass above her sounded through the air, and a small object thumped on the ground not far from her. She bent over and found the projectile to have been an apple. Ah , a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth as she wrapped this apple with the one she already took from the mess hall, Vulpen will be pleased.
Just to clarify, all of the Shepherds are in Plegia in this desert now, correct? Whether they are in the actual group or on their own is up to us, yes? I imagined my character at a Shepherd outpost way north in Ylisse, by the border of Regna Ferox, and to start somewhere more north than Plegia. But I also don't want to be the only character up there, role playing with myself with no character interaction until the whole group eventually migrates and meets each other. See what I'm sayin?

So, I finished the sheets. You can look them over and tell me what you think.

Luna has the same birthday I do IRL :>

Yes.Mind the nature of AIs [is it a smart or dumb one?] in the GC though. It's widely accepted a sufficient AI does have a soul, but at the same time it's seen as a crime to make one since it's like giving a screw driver or wrench a soul, so to speak.Of course you can always pretend the AI is not really a AI, but someone whose mind was transferred to the interstellar webs.

Perfect. I saw your Google Doc about AI's which piqued my interest. The idea is that the botanist will play that the AI is a piece of assisting machinery in her studies, however, it will in actuality be a smart AI (essentially its own character) that replaces a sister/brother that died in the past. So I intend to make two CS, with the AI aware of the extreme need of secrecy and need to put on a façade when not in private quarters with the botanist.

Name: Kalina

Age: 19

Gender: female

Birthday: December 1st

Class: Taguel

Allied to?: Shepherds

Weapons: Beaststone

Clothing/Appearance:
Beast Form

Personality: Kalina is a free-spirited girl, as expected from a Taguel. In her humanoid form, Kalina is soft-spoken but not quite shy. She is respectful of other people’s space and typically prefers being the one approached versus doing the approaching. Kalina prefers to observe then interact, which is why she may come off as shy at times. Her calm demeanor tends to affect the atmosphere , and she is certainly someone who withholds judgments.
Biography: Kalina doesn’t know much about her family or her past. She never knew her father as he had disappeared before her mother even realized she was with child. Kalina was raised by a nomadic people in the snowy terrain of Regna Ferox, which certainly aided in hiding her unique abilities. The first time she shifted, she was very young, around seven-years of age. She had been out by the frozen river, scouting out for game and scrounging for roots, when a strange dizziness started to take over her. Her vision began to cave in on itself and when Kalina woke, what she found out was a day later, she was covered in blood. The look of fear when she went back to her mother scared Kalina, and her mother quickly whisked her away and washed her up. It was then that her mother explained to Kalina what she was; it was then that Kalina learned what her father was. They hid Kalina’s “condition” from the rest of the tribe, Kalina able to feel the shift about to happen and able to quietly sneak away. She never fully remembered what happened during her shifts, most of her memories in her beast form coming from her dreams she had in her humanoid. Or was it that while she dreamt, she was actually shifted? She never figured it out, but one night, when Kalina was sixteen years of age, a tribe member witnessed her transform on accident. Despite her mother’s tears and pleads, the tribe banished Kalina in hopes that she would die out on her own.
Kalina dreamt for what seemed like months of vicious hunts and of a huge wall that she managed to get over, and when she woke she found herself in a warmer climate, surrounded by people that she didn’t know. Kalina learned that she was taken in by the Shepherds when she was found naked and unconscious out in the wilds. They took her in, explained who they were, and gave her the option of staying or leaving. She opted to stay, as she preferred companionship over loneliness, and when she found that she could trust the people she eventually shared her special abilities. They accepted her with no qualms, and for once Kalina felt like she belonged somewhere.
Until they were raided. Until there were killings. Until she shifted and ripped off the heads and out the entrails of those who attacked. Until Kalina was lost, again.

Quirk: Part of Kalina’s essence remains in her beast form, however the animalistic nature reigns while shifted.
Strengths: She is extremely stealthy as both a human and an animal, and her ability to remain calm in most situations in her humanoid form.

Weaknesses: Kalina is a bit too trusting of people, which primarily comes from her ability to suspend judgments on people she meets. In her humanoid form, she is not very strong and has no skill in wielding weapons. In her beast form her armor are her teeth and claws—which means she’s rather open to attack in general.

Likes: Meeting new people in general, deep conversations, and nature (particularly colder climates)

Dislikes: Confinement and fire.

Romantic Interest: None at the moment

At least it isn't like this anymore:Uhm, I don't know, Crimson. I mean, Inigo liked to dance, but he wasn't a Dancer. XD

bahahaha, lovely. Absolutely lovely.
I can have another character up for the Shepherds side, female, tonight :]
I suppose before cranking this out, just to be sure:

A botanist with an AI assistant would be acceptable?
I lied about the whole merc thing, heh heh :> Please let me know if I need to fix anything. I did my best on reading up on the Pegasus Knights and making a biography on that. However if that's not how things run in these parts of the town, let meh know!

Name: Vrissa

Age: 23

Gender: female

Birthday: July 31st

Class: Pegasus Knight

Allied to?: Ylisse

Weapons: Iron Lance

Clothing/Appearance:

Personality: Vrissa is fierce in nature, with an aura about her that make common folk cringe in fear as she passes. She is highly loyal to those she serves and blindly follows any orders given to her. Some would say she is cold and heartless and lacks any empathy or emotion. This, however, is not the case with Vulpen . An endearing and almost strange relationship exists between Vrissa and her flying steed, and she would easily forfeit her life for the only friend she’s ever had. In the public’s eye, however, the two maintain a hard exterior. Vrissa is not one for small talk, she is very curt and only speaks if necessary.

Biography: Vrissa was born into a militaristic family. Her mother was once a Pegasus Knight, and her father served in Ylisse’s army. She grew up privileged by most common folk standards, living in a decent sized home where there was always food on the table. Vrissa never had many friends growing up, and since she was a young child she always preferred the company of the horses she would visit on the pastures than of other people. The signs were there, but her mother fell deathly ill and before long died. As it became more and more apparent to her father that Vrissa inherited the knightly traits of her mother, and the family became poorer and poorer due to her father seeking comfort in drinking and gambling, Vrissa was sold for a handsome sum by her father to the Ylisse military. To test her inherent abilities, they introduced her to Vulpen. Only a true Pegasus Knight would be able to approach the animal without hooves flying, and if she could mount him then it was the match that was destined to happen. And so it went, Vrissa climbed on top of Vulpen and the two became inseparable, and the Ylisse military gained a prized possession.

Quirk: Vrissa is terrified of open water.
Strengths: She has an unparalleled sense of balance, and she is extremely loyal.

Weaknesses: Her lack of empathy and extreme loyalty tend to have her functioning as a robot, with no rationale accompanying her actions. She is very poor at using the lance with her left arm, and her armor is next to null as she has to remain light on Vulpen to maintain altitude and speed.

Likes: Vulpen

Dislikes: people in general

Romantic Interest: Not likely one would develop, but it could happen under the right circumstances I suppose
