Beyond the Horizon

We are the ones that they wanted. They found something in our genes that gave us a higher potential in the development of Quirks, special powers that started appearing around the world about 200 years ago, but still only 5% are able to develop any kind of Quirk. Some say it's radiation, others are convinced that the government put chemicals into our food and water to activate this gene, but the truth is that we don't know what causes it. They started testing us about 20 years ago. Some people managed to escape and stay in hiding but nothing works. We are all found and shipped away.

Those with the highest percentage of obtaining these power get sent to W.E.S.T., the World Experimental Source Tower. They try and keep what they do a secret to the public, pass this place off as a geology lab. The truth is that they are taking us, no matter the age, and forcing these Quirks out of us via tests. But we will get free, we will see beyond the horizon.

Blinded by the flames and fun Bence didn't notice when the crocodile creature rise back to its feet. Burnt flesh still smoking from his body. The poor thing looking like a half melted easter chocolate. It's human half discoloured with twisted skin, some portions skin the gone revealing the dark cords of muscle underneath. Other placed that weren't so lucky, like the fingers, where exposed bone smoked and burned. The beast half of the creature was less damaged. With patches of singed flesh being the worse it got.

"Yay Bence Boy! That's the spirit!" Violence shouted excitedly. Both had thought that they had defeated the creature and were celebrating their victory. The boy lifted the flamethrower skyward and let out a stream of flame that flew straight up, that broke apart like a deadly blooming flower a the top. The part use Bence's body and jump into the air. Upon landing Bence is met by the creature he was fighting. A powerful swipe of a scaled tail sends the small boy tumbling along the ground. As his body spin and smacked the ground Bence started laughing again. Infected by Violence. As he stopped several feet away from the beast his face contoured into a menacing grin. His laugh raised in pitch and became more of a giggle.

"Stay rrrrright there." The boy growls at the beast before he took off running towards the creature. Seeing the flamethrower from the corner of his eye he turned to grab it. As he did the beast began to charge, quickly gaining ground on him, but before the beast could lash out again Bence jumped onto the creature. Before landing at the base of the beasts tail the creature caught Bence exposed foot on the way down slashing a gash form the bottom of his foot and half way up the side of his calf. The boy roared in pain while fighting the urge was to pull the flamethrower on and burn the thing even more, however it was Violence who stopped the boy knowing that it would kill them both.

The beast didn't let Bence stay long, it waved and swung wildly to get the boy off, and quickly rid itself of its rider. Bence hit the ground hard on his back, but pulled the trigger letting flames loose once again. This time the boy wasn't looking, he moved side to side hoping the hear the thing, and once he did Bence rolled onto his stomach and kept going until the creature finally collapsed.
