Chakra Nature: Water and Lightning



Appearance: Reiji stands at a height of 5'9" with dark skin that is complimented by his platinum blonde hair. His hair is wild and thick, commonly compared to that of a lion's mane. His eyes are striking yet soft with a vibrant magenta color. His attire is what you see in the pic because I am not good at describing attire XD



Personality: Essentially Reiji is a thrill seeker. He enjoys a good challenge, a good time, and a good laugh. He's quick to tease someone when he sees an opening. He carries himself with a cool, confident demeanor and a slight temper. Since he's willing to fight at a moment's notice it takes more than taunting to get under his skin but once you do he's quite the hot head. First to confront an adversary and last to retreat, Reiji is a shinobi hungry to test his strength. He's happiest when he's able to fight other powerful ninja.

However, that same affinity for battle is what scares him the most. Nothing else is important anymore when he's fighting a strong opponent. He'll forget his objectives and potentially put his comrades in danger. Because of this he is hesitant to let others get close to him. This also makes it hard for him to work well with others. You could say he's an untamed beast whose only purpose is to prove his dominance. Still, he hopes to find something he cares for more than fighting.



History: Reiji grew up in Kirigakure and had a fairly average life for a child of shinobi. Attending the academy, he got good grades and was a fast learner. Although he only joined the academy because his parents were shinobi; just thought that was the path to take since he didn't have any ambitions of his own. Soon, he came to realize he enjoyed fighting. The skills, jutsu, the game of trying to read your opponents next move, it was all a thrill to him. From then he trained harder knowing that the stronger he got the stronger foes he'd get to face. Reiji still didn't feel he had found his reason for becoming a shinobi but combat filled the space for the time being. Until the day his parents didn't come back from a mission. His father was KIA but his mother was missing. Since there was no evidence she was dead and the body of the enemy they were fighting had been found instead she was declared a rogue ninja. Since his clan were group thinly stretched across the lands he had no other family in the village, so he was taken in by a close friend of his father's who lived in Konoha. After moving he finished his time in the academy there but found that fighting was no longer enough to replace his of a reason for becoming a shinobi. He needed answers. What happened on that mission? Where is his mother? And what what is the true value in being a ninja for him?

Skills/Abilities: With a strong handle on ninjutsu and taijutsu, Reiji is able to seamlessly mix both in battle. Combined with his smart use of his clan's kekkei genkai he becomes quite formidable. He possesses moderate skill with ninja tools making him a mid-ranged fighter. Coming from Kirigakure he's adept at stealth though he prefers a head to head fight. That doesn't mean he won't implement them when necessary.

Genjutsu isn't his strong suit. In fact he knows only a couple of techniques in the area, one he can't use very well and the other requiring a lot of hard work for him to wield. His failings in genjutsu can be connected to his lack of chakra control; his reckless use of his chakra can potentially leave him vulnerable despite his enviable reserves.



Special Traits: The Saikumo are noted for having great amounts of chakra and a natural intimidating presence.


Kekkei GenkaiHiden: Sekiun (積雲, Cumulus)

Traits/Abilities of Kekkei Genkai: Sekiun is a technique passed down through the Saikumo that allows them to manipulate the water in the air to create clouds for various uses. These clouds can be dense enough to be used as platforms or even shields, or thin enough to move through and use as cover. They can also be used as conduits for water and lightning style jutsu. Increased maneuverability, disguising attacks, softening blows; it's clear that Sekiun is a versatile technique but it has it's limits. Thought the density of the clouds can changed they are still clouds and are a poor defense against high impact attacks such as earth jutsu and cutting/piercing attacks such as swords and lightning jutsu. Obviously the less water the in the atmosphere the more difficult Sekiun is to use so dessert environments and the like render it near useless.

Description: The user generates a current of electricity in their dominant hand and fires it as a quick bolt from the the tips of their index and middle fingers, electrocuting the opponent. The user can also hold the current in their hand and use it up close by channeling it through their strikes.
Weakness: Does not travel further than a couple of meters making it useless against targets at a distance. If used in water anyone in contact with said water source will be shocked including the user.

Description: Launches up to 5 streams of water shaped as swallows towards the target that cause slight damage upon impact. Their wings also have a cutting edge and they can also be combined into one for an attack with more force.
Weakness: Though the trajectory of he swallows can be altered they move at average speeds so making them simple to track. They are better used for misdirection and throwing the enemy off balance.

Description: A simple jutsu that creates an intimidating aura around the user. Though not a relatively powerful genjutsu it can be used to great effect and can cause enemies to hesitate or stumble in their actions.
Weakness: The jutsu is inconsequential against stronger and stronger opponents. And though is has a low chakra cost it is a constant drain to maintain.
