When Adam had shook Chloe's hand he had felt the attraction and he was intrigued by her. Adam grinned at Chloe as she verbally kept tripping herself up. He thought she was adorable when she was that shade of pink. He couldn't help it and when she talked about him smelling bad he almost laughed himself silly. Sherry just stared at the obviously flustered young woman and she had to pick her jaw up off of the floor when the door shut behind Chloe.

"Oh my God!I can't believe she just did that. I would just die!" Sherry looked at Adam and slapped him in the stomach with the back of her hand. "Poor girl! And look who she is drooling over...You are terrible Adam."

Adam ran his hand through his hair and laughed at Sherry. "Terrible good or terrible bad?" Adam watched Chloe out the door and smiled. He was going to ask that girl out.

Alexis

Alexis opened her eyes and it was the next day. The first thing she noticed was that Elias was not in bed next to her and her father was watching the doctor change her bandages. Yawning she smiled at her father. "Morning Dad. Why are you here? It's not that bad really." The doctor snorted derisively at her comment. "Ok...well it could be worse."

"I'll give you that...you could have died...that would be worse." The doctor grunted.

Marcus stepped forwards and clipped the doctor upside the head. "That's enough Thadeus. She knows." Alexis gave a slight smile at her father's antics.

"Elias was taken back to his room. He is being taken care of. Alexis, I'm worried that you and Elias might not be able to work together."

Panic set into Alexis' voice. "Why? Why would you think that? This was an unusual situation father. We will be fine together."
Her father looked doubtful. "We'll see."

After the doctor and her father left her room she struggled to get to her feet and she took the long way around to Elias' room and slipped inside. Her hair was down around the middle of her back. She was barefoot and wearing a nightgown that went almost to the ankles.

Alexis looked at the bed and Elias was there and he appeared to be sleeping. Grateful that he was okay she sat in the chair near his bed. She was exhausted. Sneaking around in a huge house was a lot of work if you were not in tip top shape. Within moments her eyes were closed.

Laura was upstairs with Piper when she heard Conner come in and when he called her she was on her way down the stairs. Piper was trailing her mama on the stairs. She was singing kiddie songs as she came down slowly.

"Hey baby how was work?" She opened the refrigerator to pull out a box of fish sticks for dinner. "It's Piper's pick for dinner tonight so I hope you are up for it."

Piper came running around her mother and leapt onto her father's shoe and grabbed his leg. "Daddy!"

Adam was in the gym working with an up and comer in the MMA community. He watched the young man raise his foot in a fast multiple kick and he dodged it and plowed his fist into the guy's crotch. As the guy fell to the ground he chuckled and grabbed a towel. Adam wiped his neck down and held out a hand to help the guy up. The guy was still moaning as Adam handed him a bottle of icy water.

"I know...Never let my guard down. I left my balls as the open target."

Adam laughed as he climbed out of the ring and headed towards the office. "You got that right!" He was still grinning when he walked into the office. His eyes settled on the young woman his office girl was talking to.

"There he is now." Sherry said to Chloe.

"Adam, this is Chloe. She brought the jersey's you ordered." Adam seemed interested in the jerseys and he opened the box immediately with a smile he looked them over. He glanced over at Chloe and noticed that she was pretty.

"So are you the delivery girl? I thought guys usually did that. These are great! Thanks for bringing them." Adam extended his hand to her. "I'm Adam, owner and sweaty instructor. I'm sorry, I probably don't smell too great right now."

I think what you did took a lot of courage. A lot of people wouldn't be able to find that much in themselves. It's really tough to know what is the right call in these situations. Granted, this is only part of the story but it sounds like you made a very mature decision. It will have consequences for you too though. I'm sure you are already aware of that though. Hopefully your sister will realize her mistakes and turn a new leaf when she gets out. *hugs*

We are currently going through a Dementia situation with my mother in law so I understand how you felt. My great grandmother on my mom's side died of Alzheimer's. It is horrifying what happens when the brain starts dying.

Mara grinned and tried not to chuckle as he came back. She said something and water rained over him putting out the fire on his cloak and then the cloud above him disappeared. She had pulled out a sweet treat similar to a marshmallow and threaded it onto a stick and held it over the fire and handed him one. She chuckled as he sloshed in his boots because of her rain.

"I see you did as well as I did." She smirked as she turned her treat over the fire. "I think we should work together. Maybe we can outsmart it. I can make you fireproof."
