"She sure can! Our little princess can do anything." Laura kissed Connor on the cheek and swung Piper around and up into her arms. Laura set her on the kitchen counter top and scooped out some ice cream for Piper and Connor. Handing him the bowl she watched Piper's eyes as they got bigger at the big bowl just for her.

Laura was already working on figuring out how to work on the cancer scam. First thing was first, did they trust their three year old to keep a secret that big or did they want to keep it a secret from her as well? She was chewing on her lip and looking at Piper as she wondered.

Adam smiled handsomely. "I have a friend like that too. So do you need to get anything before we go?" He glanced at her friend and watched Madison for a moment as she seemed almost giddy about Chloe getting asked out. He waited patiently for Chloe.

"So how is business these days Madison? Design and clothing is a good choice. It's needed year round by everyone everywhere." About that time his stomach growled hungrily. His eyes got big and he grinned and spoke to her again laughing this time. "It's like food, we all need it."

When Chloe came out of the back room he held out his hand took hers in his. "You ready to go? I think my stomach is trying to eat it's way through me." He joked half seriously.

Mara stood up and cast a fireproof spell so the drake couldn't burn him or his clothing, cloak included, although there wasn't much of that left to speak of. The next thing she did was touch the tip of his sword with her hand and spoke to it casting another spell. This one would make it sharp enough to pierce dragon scales. "This should make your sword capable of cutting the dragon's tough hide." The third thing she did was look at Murdell and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek for luck. "For luck!"

She followed him back to the drake and waited.

Alexis awoke slowly and for a moment she forgot she was injured, and then she moved. Pursing her lips momentarily she moved a little more carefully. Her hair was a mess. She stood up and stretched trying not to pull her side too hard. "I was worried about you. My father was acting weird and I just wanted to make sure that he didn't ship you back to your father while I was asleep. And then I was too tired to walk back so I sat down and passed out."

Alexis was genuinely worried that she would be deemed unfit to fight monsters because they both got hurt. It just backed up Ellinora's concerns that girls shouldn't be fighting creatures of the night. "See, after Maggie died Ellinora decided it was because we were girls and it was too dangerous." She sat back down. "I don't want her to start that again. If she convinced my father of it-" she sighed. "Then I would have to settle down, marry and have babies and I'm not ready for that. I mean, someday sure but not yet."
