Yes I've noticed a lot of my RPs I joined slowing down about this many IC posts in, and some stopping. Come on y'all, don't be quitters.
"Nancy est vraiment très agréable à l'automne," Eulalie responded to Red's origin. It was on the route from La Havre to Munich, where she had a cousin or two. She listened as the girl continued, feeling Red was perhaps going beyond her place presuming to press social preferences upon her. She would like or hate Ellie or Snow entirely based on how they treated her, not how others talked of them. And so far, she had been dragged from her home, made quite wet, neither fed nor offered rest or a hot bath as of yet, deprived of her maid, made to live in a brothel, and now forced to travel at night when she could be sleeping... the list could go on. No, she would make her own decisions on their character, damn how Red felt about them. That was her personal problem.

She did listen as Ellie spoke to them about the witches, and she took a sip of the cider thoughtfully. It was good.

"If these are just young girls pretending to be sorcières, I can make them trust me," she said surely. "Likely they have no real power in conducting those little rites, other than the damning of their souls, but if I can make the earth sprout vines about their ankles I can win them over and make them cease these pathetic little attempts. I doubt they know real power if it slapped them." She had always had an easy time making impressionable, or weaker willed, girls follow her. She was a natural alpha, and used to getting her way. She could make them cease, all right, even if she had to hang them by those ankles from a tree with her magic until their fathers came to find them.
It's hard to get close to Iikka. There's a wall there.
Archie feel free to jump in at the mall after you cs and get approved. I mean, it's already weird. :P Random people walking in? Why not.
When Eulalie returned to the rail car, she found Red digging into her pack and offering her bread and cheese. If the girl had not been a fellow countrywoman, she might have turned it down. But the offer made her stomach growl before she could answer, and she nodded and accepted the food. Red was right, she had not eaten since early mid day if not more of late morning. She hadn't been sure what time of day it was anymore, at the time.

"Merci beaucoup." she said, taking a seat next to Red. Her roommate. Her peasant roommate. Who is being kind to you, she told herself. She took a bite cautiously, but then ate readily. It was good cheese, if not what she was used to. The bread must have been made that morning. She'd had staler bread offered on the ship and complained loudly to the staff of it.

"Mademoiselle Rouge," she addressed Red in French, preferring not to offer the chance for others to butt in on her private conversation. Others named Sawyer. "Your accent appears to be Eastern France to me, maybe near Germany. Would I be correct in my guess? From which parish do you hail?"
((OOC Note: her question is just written in italics as a translation, rather than posting it in French for the sake of I don't have time right now. Listeners would hear her speaking French.))
@MountainLynx TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH

I'm holding back to keep from over posting, lol! I love this character and I have so many plans for Eulalie. Waiting to let other people post.
I'm down if its not just another zombie story.
Sorry the post was so short, just wanted to move it along a bit.
Jason pinched the bridge of his nose rubbing the spot between his eyes. Iikka could try his patience at times. He decided it was up to him to clear things up, as it would be far too entertaining to Iikka to just keep running them all in circles. The mall would close before he could buy some pants at this rate. It might be better at this point to just buy pants later and get people calmed down.

"Oh, actually they ripped at work. That's why we're here, I need to pick up a few work pants." he explained.

"Max, have they ever played any Kirby games? They might really like it, and the main character looks like a pink marshmallow." Jason suggested, trying to get things back on track. He didn't have a Wii, but he used to play Kirby Dream Land on his old SNES. "They made a sequel to the original to called Return to Dream Land they might like." He'd seen the ads in the window for Game Stop on the way in.

Lol who said Ellie wasn't married? If I remember, Red spoke to her with the assumption of being married and she didn't correct her :) Subtle hints haha

Eulalie doesn't know that. :p She's too self absorbed to really do much other than assume.

My unsolicited French Lesson of the Day.M. = Monsieur : Sir / plural: MM. = MessieursMme = Madame : Madam / plural: Mmes = MesdamesMlle = Mademoiselle : Miss / plural: Mlles = MesdemoisellesIn French when you don't know whether the woman you are writing or talking to is married or not, you are supposed to call her Madame (guess this dates back to the times when a woman who was not married was considered a laissée pour compte, i.e. it was an insult just to think that maybe she was not married...). In English it is the opposite, you are supposed to say "Miss" when you don't know her marital status.

I was looking for that shorthand, I'm running off sporadic years in school that had French classes (and I graduated high school in 2002...) and apps I use to try to make myself learn the language that was my grandmother's first tongue. And I mess with Google Translate until it looks right, like changing porc to cochon which seems to be more like a word for dirty swine than just pig. Yeah, she dislikes Sawyer...
