Name: Sanakhet

Age: 10K

Legion/Warband/Chapter: Thousand Sons

Planet of Origin: Prospero

Physical Description: Sanakhet is a tall chaos marine, made to appear taller with the reaching twin horns of his headdress-helm. He is however slightly less wide, matching a slight deficit in raw physical strength, a small sacrifice worthy of greater power. His armor is a dark night-sky blue with golden trim, ornate with arcane markings and fierce-looking detail. A vaguely tattered white robe flows downward behind him over his powerarmor, belted at his waist, contiguous with a collar and long lapels in front. It bears in blue the mark of the Magnus' eye and flames.

Skillset:

Main power: Premonition/Precognition - Sanakhet can predict an enemy's strategies prior to engagement on the battlefield, giving his forces a similar edge to having inside information. Using his powers, he can see immediate event just before they happen, allowing him to perform extraordinary feats in combat such as moving through an enemy barrage unharmed or executing precision attacks with bolter or blade in the most complex circumstances.

Other common uses of warp sorcery:
Psychic communication over short distances.
Reading simple minds.
Limited telekinesis. A telekinetic shield able to withstand limited bombardment.
Biologic manipulation such as lightning, stopping hearts, causing seizures or paralysis, causing sleep, limited healing/stasis.

History: Sanakhet was recruited into the Thousand Sons legion after it was united with their primarch on Prospero during the height of the crusades, but before the Thousand Sons were permitted to participate in the conquering of worlds for the Imperium. He stood witness to everything that happened to his legion, his people, and his world, and was ripped away from the materium against his will like the rest of his unfortunate bretheren after the scouring of the planet by the Space Wolves. Many were confused and felt betrayed by their primarch, Magnus. Sanakhet rallied with Ahriman and assisted in casting the Rubric that obliterated the suffering of, as well as identity of, the rest of the damned legion. For their transgression, he was banished by Magnus, along with the rest of the sorcerers involved to become Ahriman's Prodigal Sons who move on defiantly regardless, carving their own destiny in the warp. Many planets were conquered in their own quest for knowledge and power, and their ostricized legion grew. Eventually, after barely failing to penetrate the Black Library of the Eldar, Magnus and Ahriman made some degree of amends and joined their forces during the 13th Black Crusade. They utterly wrecked the Fenris system, but some thrallbands were absent from the focus of the war, instead being assigned to reclaim worlds near old Prospero. Sanakhet was there, his thrallband batteling the Imperium directly on-world. The Thousand Sons were anything but great in number, and although it was difficult to deal with their power, Sanakhet's forces were routed. Furious with his failure and loss of precious comrads, Sanakhet used warp magic to escape and ends up meeting the other characters elsewhere. He still intends to continue his mission of purging the Prospero system.

Psychological Profile: Sanakhet can neither be described as good nor evil, noble or corrupt. Surely he is perfused with warp energy and bound to serve Tzeentch, but serving any forces of chaos had never been his intention. He trusts no one, save Ahriman, yet cannot deny a reluctant bond to his original gene-father. Like them, he seeks to understand truth and chaos and to expand his power and will sacrifice the innocent to do it.

Equipment: A powersword that burns with arcane flames, a bolter-pistol, his mind.

Ok, I am minutes away from putting up my Thousand Sons sorcerer character sheet. >>
@Sophrus So I wonder if Ga'duk would still know a space marine who was absent his powerarmor. Lucius was wearing jeans and a t-shirt last I checked...
@agentmanatee, Permission to engage the enemy on the surface, Emperor?

@Marx, Would you be ok with me contacting the Space Wolves' starships?

@NecroKnight, Are you joining the pacification mission with the Relictors?

@TemplarKnight07, Witness the dedication of the Relictor space marines.

@Hecticlord, I believe you're being overruled by higher command.

@ClocktowerEchos, I don't even know what you are doing.

@thewizardguy, what are your spies doing now?

@Evil Snowman, where are YOUR spies? How's the secret love affair with Tyros going?
I figured I needed to give some kind of permission to move forward and start fighting things. However, I won't be posting again until shit starts happening.
@BCTheEntity I would like to meet up with Lucius. I've been planning on building up to it, but so far, it only makes sense for Xepherial to follow the Rigged Fortune traders first thing. As we get deeper into the ship, I do hope the imagery on Xeph's armor will stimulate some memories for Lucius.

@Sophrus It's fine with me if you want to run into someone else first for now.
No sanctioned psyker acolytes yet?
Suddenly, one of the pipes along the damaged wall burst and started shooting fumes into the corridor. Powerarmor cogitators immediately identified the vapors spectroscopicly as steam, but it could have been anything noxious on a xeno vessel. It was a sign to gtfo before this corridor caught fire for whatever reason.

"Killteam advance!" Everyone was in position, and with eyes on Drascal and Victor, Aldaric gave the order to move. Sounds were already moving toward them from in front, and now the view in back was obscured by white clouds. There was little time before the Dark Eldar realized that they had been boarded. A stormshield and bolterfire would be the first and possibly only thing the xenos would witness before hitting the floor.
Prior to the fleet's sendoff into the warp, Inquisitor Malodrax had been received upon the Relictor's fortress monastery. The reception had been a quiet one, with most of the brothers not particularly aware of his presence among the small mortal population aboard. The Relictors had navagators, recruits, scouts, servitors, and a smattering of support staff, many of which were recently acquired. The captain had first lieutenant Garwyn give the guided tour, avoiding any dangerous areas such as still damaged parts of the starfort and of course the locations of any active 'research.' Of course Varius would have wanted to personally inspect everywhere possible, and on a starfort, that took a while. The inquisitor was to be treated with the utmost respect and all his questions answered plainly. Leal's intent was to have complete transparency to the eyes of the Ordo.

During his stay, the captain had also privately confided to Varius his concerns over the brothers' silent unrest. "...It is only their natural desire to serve the Imperium. Our loyal Relictors are frustrated with months of aimless travel through the blackness of space and long to set their blades along the throats of the demonic hordes. We shall see to that soon enough."

---

Finally, the day arrived that the forgemoon Amaltheus was in sight. The massive starfort ripped through an enormous rift into material space moments after the rest of Gregori's fleet had preceeded them to find local space alight with naval battle. Although badly damaged, the Ramillies starfort defenses were still overwhelming, and it dominated the space around itself. However, there was one quarter, the most heavily damaged, which was less capable than the rest, and Lattore worked hard to keep that section as secret as possible. The Relictor captain stood on his command deck with a number of superior officers overseeing the space battle until completion. Inquisitor Malodrax was present as well. In the end, none of the enemy ships were threatening enough to contest the superior ships of the newly arriving fleet, and they were destroyed or vacated quickly.

"Captain Lattore. We're picking up communication from the surface. There's a battle going on down there."

"Can you identify the combatents?" Leal was eager for a status report.

"I'm picking up Skitarri transmission, and unknown, presumably chaos cultists."

Leal nodded. It was predictable. At least the mechanicus still lived on the forgemoon. Those cultists were undoubtedly causing damage however.

"Captain. I'm also detecting... Space Wolves."

Leal quirked en eyebrow. He blinked and stared at the screen. "Hm. This could complicate matters. Bring us into orbit. Jeffri, inform the flagship when we are in position to transport to the surface. We're not engaging without orders while Emperor Amastov flies beside us."

Leal heaved a deep breath. "Locate the Space Wolves' strike cruiser and aim our strongest shields in their direction."
@Sophrus I have to say I have never interacted with an ogryn, so, sure. I'm also hoping we run into the Rigged Fortune fools... I mean traders. Perhaps some noise would draw their attention.
