【Personality】
Kareha is a jovial woman who lives her life pay check to pay check. She has been a well-known mercenary for years and even had a brief stint as a Swordsman of the Mist. Even after leaving Kirigakure and carving a smiley face into her headband (the classic line just wasn't her) she kept up her positive attitude. She still even does a little mercenary work on the side. She is constantly using the transformation technique in order to appear younger than she is to put an opponent off guard. While she does sometimes have a slightly more serious side to her, she is usually fairly happy and even kids around with the other members of the Akatsuki. Often flirting with them and asking for piggy back rides.
It should be noted that this attitude isn't so much of a facade as it is her sensationalized attitude and apathy towards violence and chaos. She amps that up significantly in order to put her opponents off and cause them a great amount of discomfort. Even going so far as to let them live, just to spread the word about how horrified they were over the psychopath who attacked them. She isn't actually insane, in fact her apathy is pretty much her defining feature, should she ever have a real conversation. But she is willing to play the part of the Akatsuki battery seeing as her other teammates are almost always outta juice.
She does tend to leave fights that are boring, however. Since they can drag her attitude down. She often tells people to calm down when they are crying over a lost comrade or other such occurrences. But she doesn't really mind it all that much. Kareha understands that death will follow her everywhere she goes, but it doesn't make good things worse. Instead it just evens it out a bit more.
She also has a habit of infiltrating villages with no real motive or plan. Just to walk around, interact with people and eat some local food. What can she say? She’s a social butterfly sometimes she needs to spread her wings. Her biggest motivator is money, by miles. She loves being able to spend it and her only stipulation to joining the ranks of the Akatsuki was that they pay her an exorbitant fee upon joining. That accomplished, she’s been happy to go and do some evil stuff.
History
Kareha was a small child, smaller than most children her age, who was adopted by an incredibly kind family from Kirigakure. They taught her fantastic life lessons that would take her quite a long way through her life. For example, always treat guests with respect. Enjoy every day you get in life. And when performing slitting the throat of a victim you have to be absolutely certain that you slice from ear to ear to properly cut through the jugular and the windpipe. Lessons that would really cement her views.
The time she spent as an academy student was incredibly short lived. She was entered and within two weeks she was passed through. This was primarily due to the massive amount of training she had received beforehand. She had already surpassed what the academy expected of a student. This was also hurried along because one of the three-man cells has lost a member. A young girl who had perished during a mission to defend a small bridge. A bridge that Kareha’s mother and father worked on as builders.
When Kareha found out it was her parents that had killed that girl, she was overwhelmed with gratitude. She was so happy that they were willing to go to such an extent to get her a spot on a team as soon as possible. Her time as a Genin was generally pretty normal. She went on a few missions, left no room for mercy when she fought her enemies and made sure to always wash the blood from her kunai before bed.
One mission in particular stood out in the village’s eyes however. A fairly simple mission, she was in charge of interrogating a prisoner. They considered that she wasn’t scary enough. Which was fair, she always made sure to smile when addressing a stranger after all! So she began with freezing the lower half of his body. Of course, she wasn’t all that talented with her Kekkei Genkai at the time, she was only ten after all! So it took a few hours for the ice to fully climb up to his stomach. She figured that was the most painful part, not when she began to shatter it. But with him screaming the entire time it was really hard to tell. Not very helpful at all especially for a girl who is trying to learn these things.
Kareha was able to partake in the Chunin exams by just ten years old passing each test with flying colors. However to continue this level of upwards progression she needed a tutor, and her cell leader was unwilling due to her jovial nature and her refusal to take missions seriously. However, on her first solo mission as a Chunin she was able to meet someone who appreciated her ridiculously positive outlook on the world.
He went by Havoc.
After being trained extensively with the blade, it was time enough to put two and two together. It was around that time that Kareha would claim a blade that would go on to become one of the seven of the mist. Creating a blade made entirely of ice that could shift into water. It suited her and with her training from Havoc she was ready. She would follow his advice and join the Seven Swordsman of the Mist.
In order to join the Seven Swordsman, there had to be an opening. They were a pretty amoral group, so they didn’t really care how the opening was made as long as it was. As such Kareha approached the candidate she considered to be the most powerful, she was going to make a friend.
He, like most of the swordsman, practiced Suiton techniques but he was also known for his Doton proficiency. She approached him on the outskirts of the village, with the rest of the Swordsman and challenged him to a duel for his place in the group. They were on a small bridge overlooking a river, a fairly peaceful area. Kareha was pretty sure that it was where that Genin had been killed all those years ago. Somehow she found herself coming back to this bridge. What a sweet way to celebrate an anniversary!
He was a proud man and waved off any support for the fight, leaving just an incredibly young girl, comparatively anyway, and this man to duel. He pulled his blade from his hip, it was a monstrous thing massive in size. It looked like a chef’s knife.
“Kirigakure no Jutsu.” The bread and butter of the mist. He uttered the words under his breath and a deep mist emanated from his body. She had practiced in these kinds of conditions before, taking the hilt of her blade and dragging her hand alongside where a blade would be. The water droplets formed into a beautiful crystalline sword.
“Hyōken no Jutsu.” She cooed unto the sword, as if flirting with it.
“Sairento Kiringu.” The man said.
“Muon Satsujin.” Kareha replied happily. Their two blades struck one another tiny shards of ice flying from the sword, only to be replaced by the water droplets floating through the air. She giggled in glee as the blades clashed a few moretimes. He attempted to land a punch on Kareha’s mid-section while their blades were still entwined, but she evaded to her right, twirling and allowing his heavy blade to clash into the ground. Before he could follow up her hands had struck the ground.
“Haran Banshō.”
A massive amount of water poured out from above her, and filled the river up to its brim, only thing keeping the bridge safe from being overflown itself were the guard rails on either side.
She jumped onto the water, concentrating the Chakra in her feet in order to stand on it. Muon Satsujin worked well on land, but one couldn’t silence the noise of displacing water with their feet. As she heard her opponent approach she slammed her foot into the water, immediately it shifted into ice, springing forth from her foot and freezing the entire river bed, this stopped him in his tracks.
“Hoho, I like this girl.” Havoc exclaimed, the man was watching from the branch of a nearby tree, clasping his fingers behind his back with a cheeky grin.
The footsteps all but stopped as the ice spread out from around her. All she had to do now was locate him. But as she looked to the left and right as the mist dissipated from around them she couldn’t find her target.
Above! She immediately drew her blade in a defensive pose as he came down upon her. Nearly bisecting her blade and most likely Kareha.
“Still I think there’s a bit too much of a skill gap here.” Havoc whistled, taking in the scene. Though he was talking from the perspective of yours truly of course ~
She knew that it was now or never. She allowed the sword to shatter and dropped the hilt, angling her body away from the massive blade as it struck the ice, hard. She weaved three, four, five, six.
She felt a kick land square on her chest that sent her skidding backwards on the ice. Perhaps fractured a rib.
Seven, eight, nine, ten.
She allowed the technique to release and as he retrieved his sword a ten foot spear of ice came up through his lower back and pierced his midsection. Fatally impaling him. Red tinted the ice, as she came to retrieve her blade.
She followed rank with the Seven Swordsman of the Mist and left the body to freeze over and serve as a warning of her skill.
Of course Havoc applauded as if he had just witnessed masterpiece theatre. Which in a way, she supposed he had.
She soon became something of a local legend with her unique Kekkei Genkai, young age and status as a swordsman of the mist. This reputation elicited her change in personality. From somewhat happy to downright jovial. She was a joy to be around and simply an all-around perfect person, duh!
Only a few years later Havoc would approach her speaking of an organization she had the opportunity to join. After conceding that, yes, she could receive her truly unruly demands as far as Ryo went, she ended up joining the team in a jiffy. Ever since she’s been the mascot, heart, ace, right wing forward, and leader of the Akatsuki.
“And that’s how I joined the Akatakataki!” She exclaimed as Havoc repositioned so that he didn’t lose grip of her.
“I know you tell me this story every Friday.” He responded with a small chuckle.
“Not even the smallest embellishment!” She announced pointing forward unto the great beyond from atop Havoc’s back.
“Mhm.” He responded.

A – Genjutsu
A – Chakra Control
B – Chakra Pool
C – Taijutsu
Note – Incredibly weak against Fire-Based Techniques
Weapons, Tools and Equipment】
Standard Weapons: Kunai x20, carries two explosive tags.
--------
Unique Weapons:
Name: Omoide 思い出
Description: The old tattered umbrella that Kareha carries around with her. It can fold up to essentially resemble a larger walking stick. She carries it in a large harness around her chest it hangs diagonally across her back.
Special Skills: Omoide has two very specific seals on it. The first, located on the inner portion of the umbrella is a protective seal. By channeling a small amount of chakra into the handle of the umbrella Kareha can activate it and encase herself in a ball of water that can protect her from fire techniques and weaker Ninjutsu. She can deactivate this technique by stopping the flow of chakra from her hand to the handle.
The second and final technique Omoide possesses is in the form of a seal on the outwards facing side of the umbrella. It is activated in a similar fashion to the first technique however instead of one hand being placed on the umbrella, two are required. When the seal is activated it releases a Genjutsu is released that causes the victim to immediately have their senses reversed. This victim will be caught if they look directly at the bright flash of light. It will feel as though attempting to move their right hand will move their left and so on. This technique, unless reversed will only last for twenty seconds. It is only a D-rank Genjutsu, though some may not initially realize it is a Genjutsu, all the same any user who has used Kai should be able to interrupt the technique.
--------
Unique Weapons:
Name: Gōkyū Kōri 号泣氷
Description: A hilt which is wrapped in bandages with the bandage dangling down resembling a ribbon or silk. The blade itself is made through Hyōken no Jutsu and is constructed through Chakra-infused ice. Kareha can easily sculpt water into the ice for this blade utilizing water and should a strike pass through water can even use that to increase the range. Though striking through water is a fairly unreliable circumstance. By stopping her flow of chakra to a certain point on the blade she can also break off that piece of ice, utilizing it as shrapnel and even boasting the capability of launching chunks of ice at a target.
Special Skills: The seal is activated in the same fashion as Omoide. Channeling the chakra into the seal will activate it creating a flash. Any whom see the flash will see the actions of Kareha half a second delayed. This does mean that Kareha must close her eyes while using this technique, which is a tell in and of itself and a tactical opening.
--------
Summon Contracts: Whale
Size: Very Large
Unique Traits: They float above land when there is no water to swim in.
Personal Summons Narwhal
Name: Tōketsu Kaiyō 凍結海洋
Ability: Hyōton: Ikkaku Hakugei Toktetsu coats himself in a protective layer of ice increasing his size to 40m before performing this technique.
Suiton: Bakusui Shōha
As Toketsu’s size is so large he is incredibly difficult to summon and may be interrupted. The summoning process, including the biting of the thumb takes Kareha at least three full seconds of uninterrupted casting time.
Size: 20m long
Personality: Tōketsu is a regal warrior of the whales. He refers to Kareha as Madame and bears a very refined voice. He has a near limitless pool of Chakra but is only capable of two techniques and unfortunately, cannot learn the Chakra transfer technique. Much to Kareha’s chagrin. He is constantly apologetic over it, calling it his biggest fault.

【Custom Jutsu】
Name: Magen: Nise Doku 偽毒 (Demonic Illusion: False Poisoning)
Type: Offensive, Genjutsu/Bukijutsu
Rank: D
Range: Contact Required
Hand Signs: Seal of Confrontation after contact with blade.
Description: This technique creates the illusion of someone being poisoned upon contact with Kareha’s blade. This technique is essentially used to create anxiety and force the victim to think about a solution when one shouldn’t be necessary. It takes their mind off the fight. This is especially useful against those who have the means to cure poison as it may draw that out. This is however, simply an illusion and they are not poisoned.
Weakness: A fairly basic Genjutsu. All basic Genjutsu weaknesses apply.
Name: Kaifū no Rengoku 地獄廊下 (Unsealing Purgatory)
Type: Defensive, Fuinjutsu
Rank: C
Range: Close
Hand Signs: None
Description: Utilizing the seal on Kareha's umbrella she is able to defend herself from some projectile based Jutsu. There are however, a couple of defining traits to what she is able to stop. She is able to stop only attacks that are purely chakra - like a Fireball Jutsu for example. Should the technique fit the criteria, however, the technique will be completely negated and blocked with no harm to Kareha or those behind her.
Weakness: This technique takes a great deal of concentration and perhaps more importantly blocks Kareha's view of her target. As this is currently a C-ranking technique, it may only stop techniques of similar rank or below.
Name of Technique: Seppun no Shi (死のキス’Kiss of Death’).
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Rank: C
Range: Very Close (so close)
Nature Type: Yin
Handseals: None
Description: By placing the smallest amount of chakra in her lips Kareha can, upon kissing them effectively and without fail place the enemy in a Genjutsu in which for them it will feel like their heart has stopped and they will be unable to breathe. In reality they will be placed in a deep sleep until true love’s kiss an hour passes. The kiss must last an entire second.
Weakness: If kissing your opponent is really an option for you, you need more help than the Weakness section can offer.
Name of Technique: Seppun no Jinsei (人生のキス 'Kiss of Life')
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Rank: D
Range: Very Close
Nature Type: N/A
Handseals: N/A
Description: Much like Seppun no Shi, Kareha will kiss her victim and when this kiss occurs they will immediately feel a rush of dopamine and powerful Genjutsu will overcome them. One that causes them to essentially fall in love with Kareha. It isn't permanent, but it is strong while it lasts. Enough to cause anyone to wish nothing but greatness upon her and immediately divulge any information she wishes to hear. The kiss must last an entire second.
Weakness: I mean seriously. Just stab a bitch.
Name: Hyōton: Fukyū Hiya普及冷 (Ice Release: Spreading Cold)
Type: Ninjutsu / Supplementary
Rank: D
Range: Contact Required
Nature Type: Hyōton
Hand Signs: N/A
Description: By tapping her foot on or poking a body of water, Kareha can turn up to a 40m radius area of water into Ice. This will be one foot thick and she can determine the size of the radius as long as it does not exceed 40m. As water can naturally form into Ice this Jutsu is not incredibly taxing.
Weakness: I mean there isn’t much to discuss this technique turns ice into water. The weakness is she’s doing this instead of fighting you. Think on it.
Name: Hyōton: Hikami Hashiru氷上で走る(Ice Release: Running on Ice)
Type: Ninjutsu / Supplementary
Rank: D
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyōton
Hand Signs: N/A
Description: Using this technique, Kareha is able to walk on ice as if it was hard dirt. She will not slip on the ground and is completely stable. This can give her an advantage over her opponents.
Weakness: Does walking on water have a weakness? It’s supplementary man I don’t know. It uses chakra.
Name: Hyōton: Shintō浸透 (Ice Release: Infiltration)
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Range: 15m
Nature Type: Hyoton
Hand Signs: Three: Horse -> Dog -> Tiger + x for bigger spears of ice.
Description: After performing the handseals Kareha is able to manipulate already existing ice to form a spear towards an opponent, impaling them. The size of the spear is directly indicative to the amount of Chakra used and additional handseals performed. A three handseal is three feet of ice. Each additional handseal adds a single foot onto the reach of this technique. It should be noted that upon starting the handseals Kareha has to pick a place to extend the ice into a spear, not after their completion.
Weakness: Not standing near ice completely negates the effectiveness of this technique. However should you find yourself near ice and your ice-based opponent preparing handseals, I dunno, maybe rethink some things. Or move.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Tōshō 凍傷 (Ice Release: Cold Death)
Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu
Rank: B
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: 2: Ox -> Snake
Description: This Jutsu is only effectively used when an opponent has been impaled by ice. After they have Kareha can cause the ice lodged inside them to super cool. While this is not immediately lethal it does slow an opponent down significantly and if it happens multiple times or they cannot retrieve the ice from their body/raise their temperature they are under the threat of dying from hypothermia. The reason a target may slow is due to the vessels in their extremities getting narrower to preserve heat in the body. Effectively, this is akin to poisoning a target as they will experience symptoms not too dissimilar. Of course, heat-based techniques can help with a rapidly cooling body.
Weakness: You have to be hit by another technique for this technique to start its work. Work backwards from there.
Name of Technique: Fubukigakure no Jutsu 吹雪隠れ (Hiding in a Snow Storm)
Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Range: 100m
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: 4: Monkey -> Horse -> Tiger -> Snake
Description: Combining Kirigakure no Jutsu with Hyōton chakra molding, Kareha is able to summon forth a mid-scale snow storm which will cover approximately 100m in a massive amount of snowfall. It should be noted that it is still possible to see during this technique, it simply obscures some eyesight. This does cause the temperature to drop within this radius to cold enough for a snow storm, approximately
Weakness: Retreat or a Fire technique of the same rank would mostly negate this technique.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Reiketsuna 冷血な (Ice Release: Cold blooded)
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: D
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Passive
Description: Kareha’s blood is some of the purest a Yuki can offer. As such she can deal with extremely cold temperatures, however, she is incredibly susceptible to fire-based techniques. As such she uses a fair amount of defensive water techniques along with generally avoiding fire-users. This does mean, however, that she can survive taking a swim in arctic waters.
Weakness: I mean it is really pretty spelled out, frankly.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Nise no Tora 偽の虎 (Ice Release: False Tiger)
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: C
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Three
Description: A similar technique to Rain Tiger at Will, Kareha causes it to rain in much the same this technique does. However, this rain is more closely attributed to freezing rain and effectively pelts an radius of 1km around Kareha in rain that causes the temperature to drop massively. Allowing Kareha to set a temperature in any area down to 0 degrees celsius.
Weakness: Leaving the area is always an option, and fire techniques will still heat the area up. This technique has no sensory capabilities
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Hyōga 氷河 (Ice Release: Glacial Touch)
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: B
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Passive
Description: The next step up from Hyōton: Reiketsuna. Kareha's skin will be inhumanely frigid. So cold, in fact, that basic physical contact can be incredibly threatening if it persists. Resulting in frost bite or even loss of a limb should they continue to touch her. Frost bite would occur after ten seconds of contact with her, while loss of a limb would be twenty to thirty.
Weakness: Fire techniques raising her body temperature are a very real threat. Even a near miss from a technique could leave her seriously in trouble of overheating.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Yuki-onna 雪女 (Ice Release: Snow Woman)
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: S
Range: 500m
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: 10
Description: Kareha stabs Omoide into the ground and uses it to turn the landscape into a massive snowstorm that would look frigid for an arctic region. The temperature in the surrounding 1km radius is made to -90 degrees celsius with winds that whip around at massive speeds of 70 km/h. While in this area Kareha's body becomes so cold that her entire body is composed of Chakra based ice, freezing almost anything she touches. Five seconds of physical contact is more than enough to freeze an entire limb of a combatant. The chakra through the area also prevents any and all fire manipulation.
Weakness: This is a plot-tech that is not being used in regular combat.
Name of Technique: Tebanasu 手放す (Let it Go)
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Rank: A
Range: Audible range of singing
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Passive
Description: Kareha sings sweetly, using a Genjutsu to act not-unlike a Siren. One target of Kareha's choice in range to hear her sing will slowly, but surely have their senses confused. Causing the impulses that would usually move their feet to move their arms and vice versa. While this Genjutsu is ended upon using Kai for those talented enough, or simply injuring themself it can be difficult to do so when their nerves are confused.
Weakness: During this time as this does utilize chakra, Kareha is not able to use another Jutsu for the duration of the technique.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Kōri Shunshin 氷瞬身 (Ice Release: Pareidolia)
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: A
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Same handseal for Makyō Hyōshō
Description: Instead of Kareha using Makyō Hyōshō vertically, she places them on the ground, under her feet. By doing so they can often be concealed, in a layer of snow or even water. After the mirror at least two mirrors have been placed by using this method, Kareha is capable of transporting herself as she would using the usual Jutsu as if she was using Shunshin no Jutsu. the key to this technique is that she is able to speed at the same speed as her ice mirrors on the ground, with a sword in hand this technique can quickly become deadly.
Weakness: She cannot curve between mirror A and B. She must go directly between the two, meaning that if a target is not between those two points she is not capable of turning or changing directions while using this technique.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Shōgai 冷血な (Ice Release: Disorder)
Type of Jutsu: Kenjutsu/Kekkei Genkai
Rank: A
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton/Suiton
Handseals: Tiger
Description: Kareha using Suiton Chakra flow along her blade is capable of essentially turning her blade into nothing but water. Which is accomplished by performing the Tiger handseal right-side up. In order to shift the water back into ice she must reverse the Tiger seal. While the blade is composed of water it obviously cannot stop incoming attacks but can have its shape changed. The usual form of the blade is ice, of course.
Weakness: While this technique is active she cannot use any other Jutsu.
Name of Technique: Hyōton: Hansha 冷血な (Ice Release: Albedo)
Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Kekkei Genkai
Rank: B
Range: Personal
Nature Type: Hyoton
Handseals: Passive
Description: Kareha, using the clone seal can create up to two clones. Each possessing a third of her base chakra and returning said chakra upon being taken out. The catch to these clones is that when they are killed they will explode, shooting ice shards in the immediate area, not unlike a hand grenade.
Weakness: These clones are also instantly defeated and will not explode when hit with a fire-based tech.

Handseals: 2: Ox -> Snake
Handseals: 4: Monkey -> Horse -> Tiger -> Snake
