There it is, I decided the ride of death with Cass and Claire, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they get in some high speed chase with the cops, guns blazing and all.
Oh god, it's going to turn out like Thelma and Louise isn't it?
Dominic enjoyed spending time with Natasha, she was someone he related to on more than just a surface level. She was one of the first people he had met when he arrived at the Best Exotic. Sometimes they would have simple lazy days just chatting, other times they would head out onto the street for a few quarters of street puck. Then again their time together was never often long as Tasha was a busy girl with all her doctoring and saving lives and all that jazz.
"Mornin' to ya you ol' bushel beard," he joked as Tasha took her phone call. "Seems you get a nicer morning from Doc Glacier than I did. All I got was a hair full of cereal," he laughed as he pushed his chair back.
âWhat can I say? Girls love me, I look like a puppyâ He watched as she picked up her almost constant ringing cell phone. His eyes narrowed as Tasha shot him a look. âWhy are you looking at me like a piece of meat?â
"Hun.... I have a huge favor to ask," she asked in the sweetest voice she could muster but it came out more timid than anything; timid was not a voice intonation that ever left Tasha's lips. "Ever been spelunking? In a mine shaft?"
He didnât know where this was going but Dom felt like he needed to comply. âSpelunking? Yeah Iâm well versed in the art. Whatâs the matter, do you need a guide or something?â
The trip was his longest yet; he had no idea how long he would be in India for and he was content with that. Dominic had already been gone there just under three months and was not desperate to return home, he was having too much fun exploring the landscape. He sat the end of the block, admiring his thick reddy-brown beard in a nearby window. He loved going full mountain man on a trip. He had risen early at five am to go for a run and was now only just returning to his new home; The Best Exotic.
Mosying up to the hotel he gazed upon it with his light hazel eyes and a smile on his face. It was a pretty building with a lot of character. Dom loved it, in fact the entire street had very similar architecture and it was all amazing. He had lucked out in finding such a beautiful place to call home for his stay in India. Making his way into the hotel, Dominic luckily didnât have to go up any stairs to his first floor room, which was a godsend after all the physical exercise his days were filled with. He entered his room and quickly stripped off his sweat stained clothes and headed into the small bathroom.
After a quick shower, Dom opted not to shave. Reaching into the cupboard above the sink, he looked at the array of pills in their assorted containers. He hated this part, he really, truly hated this part. One by one he opened each tub and popped two pills from each. There were green ones and black ones and two tone ones and even some pink onesâŚ.all to keep his flawed heart healthy. Exhaling deeply, Dominic stared at his reflection, wiping the condensation from the steamed up mirror. It was hard when looking at himself like this not to see what might have been if he hadnât been diagnosed with his condition. He was so close, so damn close.
Now it was time to choose some clothes to wear to meet his new found family. Sticking with the simple was Domâs motto. Some light cargo pants and a thin white v neck t-shirt with his usual walking boots were a good option for this wicked weather. Plus being a big dude, the white shirt brought out his physique and he didnât mind showing off now and again. He looked into the full length mirror and did his best Nathan Drake impression before heading back out of the room to grab a little grub.
Walking into the Dining Room, his eyes widened as he gazed upon what he had begun to call the Exotic Chaos. Of course, Dominic âBig Mountainâ Mason would greet his new friend in the simple and utterly amazing way he always did.
That's great to hear. I have two character idea's in mind but would only use one. A powered down Ares or a recently transformed Phil Urich struggling with his new reality as the Goblin Knight.

Although itâs easy to speak to Dom, itâs extremely difficult getting anything personal from him. He is more than happy to help any of his friends with an issue and it is true that more often than not he is the one they turn to for help but when he is the one in need, he shoulders the burden alone and withdraws from everyone around him. A lot of the time, it is like Dom is detached from the world, like a wise sage you go to for advice as he is perceptive of your wants and your needs but yet is an enigma to himself. Dominic is happy to lead a quiet life, staying away from parties and just chilling on his balcony with a beer or watching the game with a pizza. When life gets too much for him, Dom simply grabs his snowboard, hikes into a mountain and stays there for weeks at a time with no word to family or friend. Solitude is his oldest friend. History
What Brings You To India: - Having already lost out on a dream, Dominic Mason was in a slump. After going off on one of his many soul searching mountaineering missions, Dom returns with a crazy idea in mind. Grabbing himself a go pro, some cheap equipment and as much money as he could get his hands on, the dominator set off on an adventure to record himself un unchartered territory for a documentary. History: Dominic Mason was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Raised in the countryside on a farm; Domâs early life was very simple. His life was a routine of early mornings, feed the animals, milk the cows, tend to what needed tended to, head into town to sell what they could and then back home in time for supper. It was a quiet life many would crave, Dom from a very early age, always felt like he was destined for more. This relatively tough early life instilled in him the drive and determination many of his generation lack. This isolated upbringing also stunted Domâs inter-personal growth. The absence of friends around him meant that his social interactions left something to be desired. He desperately struggled to form any lasting bonds with anyone so he found solace in music, often just sitting with his headphones on rather than talk to people.
Although Dom did attend high school in the city, he still struggled to fit in. After a while he began to enjoy the solitude and began to pursue solitary pass times like swimming, climbing and he eventually graduated to mountaineering, often going off on long trips with his father to traverse the harshest mountains the US had to offer. Eventually, Dominic developed an interest in trying out for the Olympic Ice Hockey team having grown up as a standout in pee wee and amateur leagues and at the behest of his gym trainer, he began to hone is skills and train hard. Dom was well in with a shot to be picked for the Olympic team but sadly, during a routine training exercise, Dom suffered a massive setback that derailed his entire life.
During his time at the rehabilitation clinic, the young man struck up a friendship with another patient named Jason. Jason was a former soldier who had been struck by some shrapnel and was now unable to walk. The two men became fast friends, even to the point that whenever Jason skyped with his sister Noelle, he would allow Dominic to join in the conversation. After a while, Noelle began skyping Dom by himself and the two developed a close relationship, finally it felt like Dom had found a friend. She even sent him a watch which he never takes off.
Once he left the rehabilitation clinic, Dom returned to the farm. Still believing there was more for him out there, he decided to uproot his life and leave the colds of Minnesota for the sun of California. Having managed to make a nice nest-egg for himself working on the family farm, Dom got himself a nice apartment â shared obviously since he isnât made of money and a job at a bar on the same street with his boss even allowing him to flake out on occasion to go climb a mountain. His friends in the other apartments often call him the mountain man, as he seems more comfortable in the middle of nowhere than in a crowded place. Unsure what to do with his life, Dom was suddenly struck by inspiration and headed off on a whirlwind adventure.

Character Quote: âLife means nothing if you donât have the right soundtrackâ Theme Song: Northern Blues by City and Colour Anything Else:
The trip was supposed to be longer; at least a week. Dominic had already been gone a month and was desperate to see Natalya. There was no chance of him missing her birthday. He sat the end of the block, admiring his thick reddy-brown beard in the rear-view mirror. No doubt sheâd make him shave it off later unless she had finally came around to his mountain man look. Dom wasnât exactly dressed for the San Francisco heat. Having spent four weeks on a mountain he was dressed in thick hiking gear, heâd make sure to swiftly change when in the flat as he hadnât really had a chance to change since landing back in California. A chime in to his right alerted Dom to a text, it was from Nat.
From: Natalya Good morning, sweets! Just seeing how you were doing and I miss you like crazy. Hope you're going to be in town for my birthday. Love ya! âĽ
This was it. It was a bit of a dickish move but if he told her he was home it would ruin the surprise. Opening up his messenger he sent her a quick reply;
To: Natalya Hi babe, so sorry. Thereâs a bit of a snow storm here, theyâre not letting us leave just yet. Looks like I might miss your birthday. I hate this. I love you, try and have a good day and Iâll see you soon
While still on his phone, Dom had a quick look through his Twitter and Instagram. Damn his girl looked good today, he loved that white skirt. His girl had legs for days and he loved it. Finally he watched as Nattie left the apartment, obviously on her way to meet Tasha at the coffee shop. The girls had a routine and they stuck to it religiously. Pulling the truck out of park, Dom moved slowly crept up towards the little red building he had called home for nearly two years. It was a pretty old building with a lot of character. Dom loved it, in fact the entire street had very similar architecture and it was all amazing. Of course someone was parked in his spot, they always are. You go away for a month and someone jumps in your grave.
After finally finding a nearby parking spot, Dom had the arduous task of moving all of his hiking gear up to the top floor of the Red Building to Apartment 2C which he shared with Nattie. Luckily for them, they had a little storage cupboard with just enough space for all of the mountaineering equipment Dominic used. Boy did it take him some time to convince Natalya to let him use the space. Thank god they were both neat freaks or this relationship wouldâve been over a long time ago. Reaching into one of his bags, Dom pulled out what looked like a navy blue leather suit case. Placing it on a nearby side table, he opened it up to reveal an old style record player. Nat had wanted one of these for months, hopefully sheâd like this one. He had made sure to have it inscribed with her name on the inner lid.
Now it was time to choose some clothes to wear to meet his lady love. Sticking with the simple was Domâs motto. Some jeans, his boots, a buttoned down black shirt that always look so much better on Nattie than it did him and his dark denim jacket with the fur collar; effortlessly cool or at least he liked to think so.
Walking back outside, Dom leaned into the back of his car and pulled out a fantastic bouquet of flowers. He had picked all of them himself during his trek on the mountain and brought them down specifically for Nattieâs birthday. Dom never ever said much, is actions did most of his talking for him he liked to think. Moving down the street with a grin on his grizzled face, Dominic felt happy. Sure he felt alive in the mountains and on the peaks but being home and being able to see Nattie and his friends just elated his damaged heart.
Arriving at the Mighty Bean, Nat was already in a booth with Tas. Oh joy. Of course Tas there, she was always there. Coming up behind them, Dom placed the flowers on the table in front of Natalya.
âYou really think a storm can keep me from that smile?â
