Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

Oh, it's actually in the rules. I forgot.

9. Use the mention button. It helps people know your talking to them. Especially me ;)

Now we know why. I'll try to remember, no promises. Fielding a lot at the moment.

"Don't flatter me. I can barely even find most of you on a regular basis." Marco muttered as he watched the brother walk off. "Considering how we're even in this situation, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if either of you had something to do with starting it, brother dear. Do you even want to try being human again?"

The bear continued to grumble to himself as he took a better look at the frost around the room. "'Easy enough!' When was the last time he tried taking care of anything around here? Does he realize how big this room is? Or how much Hachi's outbursts affect what's around him?"

"As for attitude, at this rate, is anyone here even allowed to talk?"

Stifling what would have been yet another sigh out the hundreds he had probably made that day, he finally turned toward to see who was still in the room. Irritating or irritated, his brothers were still his brothers and he still had to take care of affairs. He would just have to go speak to the elder as soon as he was sure that everything was somewhat under control here.

"Felix, is there--oh goodness, Rex. I almost stepped on you, what are you doing? Felix, is there a way to get the frost off before it melts, or will we just have to close this area off for a while? And..." He stopped in shock as he looked over at the newcomer. "Ah...you're...human...I'm sorry, I'm just a little...surprised..."

@Vampy

Do you have one or should I get that done?
Do we need another person for the infirmary?
I think that one character at a time would be sufficient, but if we are worried about deaths then we could pre-plan to have three characters in the wings to take over. Just like a DnD campaign, your character dies? Oops, oh look here is your cousin Bob here to take over. But also, this leads to another meta-gaming situation. If someone's character is killed, it would presumably be done by the culprit or associated with them. We could all read said murder, and we could then act off of that, whether our characters saw it or not.

I personally would stick with one character and one character only, makes it a much more risky situation. You have to survive and detect smartly, you know you are on the trail of a murderer you can't make any stupid mistakes and jump to any wild conclusions without proof. If they all die before figuring out who the killer is, well then, the murderer gets away with it. A realistic scenario, makes a way for the murderer to get away with it and 'win' too.

Beyond this, are all the players private detectives that have been brought in by the local governance to help out the constabulary, sleuthing for our own personal vendettas, or are we all working for the constabulary? Or shall we make this just a part of our individual characters backgrounds?

Hmm...I think I see what you mean...

The only thing is that I wasn't originally going to limit possible killing to just the culprit, but depending on the set of characters we end up with, I'm not certain whether it's a good idea or not. I guess if I put a limiter on the characters, some sort of device that generally keeps everyone wanting to keep as many members alive as possible, then maybe, but...

I'm still working it out. The whole 'character death' thing is looking to be the most complicated problem so far. I want there to be high stakes, but I don't want it to just be over too soon for any players if their characters just disappear before the end of the round. I at least want to give them something to do so nobody feels ripped off...

But yeah, an equal opportunity for the culprit to 'win' is probably a best case scenario. More reason to be smart about whatever the characters do. Gotta think about this more.

For the characters, I guess some of them could be part of some kind of official investigative group, but I think it would be more interesting if most of them didn't really have such a background. More of a 'detective by chance' than 'detective by choice' group. If anyone wants to add some experience to their background, though, I don't mind. Just not an entire party of them.

Personal agendas are good. I was just going to tie them all together with a common goal outside of 'find the dude, clear your name.'

When you have 10+ other things to check and you only have a little time in the day to check who needs a response from you, that gets a little more difficult. I can try, but I guarantee you nothing if I don't send a sign, so only as long as you're not on my case for accidentally skipping you.
If I use any colors that are difficult to read on any device, please let me know. It only really takes one small click to change and I'd rather keep my posts legible.

When Marco arrived at the scene, apparently too late by the absence of the hotheaded brother, he could only see the aftermath of whatever commotion had been wrought. There was frost everywhere from what he could see, though he was lucky enough to be sheltered by his own fur. One of the few things about the curse he was actually grateful for. After a second of attempting to analyse the situation, the dark-furred brother let out yet another sigh and looked up to the ceiling in slight exasperation. "Well, then? Who can tell me what happened? And Grey, how many all-nighters will I be taking for damage control this time?"
@Guess Who

Arriving at the door to room A, the short girl smoothed out the ruffles on her skirt before knocking. It was...perhaps not a habit, but an expectation she was accustomed to whenever her presence was anticipated. Tapping the parasol on the ground a couple of times, she debated taking out another sweet before deciding that it could wait until after. This likely wouldn't be a long meeting, anyway. After a moment longer of waiting, she opened the door and stepped in with her head held high as she took in the room before her.

Let's get through this quickly, then.
