Hot Rod was taken aback when Sonja got mad at him and thought he had assumed that she was going to use torture as method to get information. That wasn't what he meant and he quickly went after her to try and talk to her.
"Wait Sonja, that's not what I meant. I just was saying that I was never really good at torture or intimidation methods as a way of getting information and I leave that to heroes like Pariah. I'm not saying you use torture to get information out of criminals, I'm sorry if my words upset you" Hot Rod said her, hoping that she would understand the misunderstanding and wasn't mad at him.
St Francis moved away from the area where Zenith was talking to Casimir, and looked around for a more quiet place to pray and give thanks to God. It was hard but he did find a place and his birds vocalizations helped sooth his mind as he sat comfortably on the floor and closed his eyes he started to pray.

When Alice sent Hale flying, Orin and R'yak got in front of her and moved into defensive positions.
"Look I know you're upset, but we need all the help we can get against the Dark Saiyans and the majin girl could be very useful" Orin said to her as he held his staff in his hand.
"He's right, we need to focus on our true enemy and work on how to kill them all" R'yak piped in.
Djin Ra was annoyed that the human woman continued the aggression by attacking Hale and he quickly took off to go and help the majin girl. He flew up to her as she was still airborne and stretched out his arm to very long lengths to grab her by the ankle. He came to a halt and released her from his grip.
"I know your mad, but you've got to listen to me when I tell that attacking them again will only make things worse" Djin told Hale.

Finn saw the box of meat and he changed back into his normal form as he quickly went over to the food. He was slightly annoyed that Tod and everyone else had just started eating without saying grace, honestly, does anyone have any manners anymore? No matter, he would do it and Finn picked up a slice of meat and bowed his head in prayer.
"Thank you oh lord for this feast that you see before you, and I ask that you bless us in our times of need. Please forgive us for our sins and show us your great mercy. Amen" he said out loud. After he was finished, he bit into the meat and the taste of the flesh was great. After he finished his first piece, he ate more chunks of meat

Yes, but -why- would the individuals go along on the quest? For -questing- sake? Needs to be connected to the goals and motivations of the characters mang, and have connections to that.
How about all of the rich characters have something that is very precious to them stolen and they hire the other characters with the promise of a reward. That could work
