Reserving a specific rank spot basically ends up meaning "Alright I will consider you for one of the open slots for a time."

So let me put it this way. If More than four people apply for captains spots (of which there are only 4 at start), then I will consider those who have reserved first, as well as the quality of the submitted CSes and how well I feel they fit into their role and the RP at large.

However, for the sake of ease. I'm gonna do this.

If you make a reservation for a rank/division position, I will keep that reservation in mind for a maximum of 5 days with an average of 3. Keep me updated on the status of your CS, and I will keep that reservation for longer than the promised 3 days.

After the MAX of 5 days go by since your reservation, I will consider others who have already submitted, if any exist. If you submit just after your 5 days and someone else does on the same day, I'll consider both, but decide based more on quality and whatnot rather than reservation.

I just don't want to be stuck waiting for weeks while a given person finishes a reserved captain or lieutenant, ya feel me?

Good question. My suggestion? If you want a captain, apply not for veteran or normal. Just write a good CS and state which section you'd prefer. I'll grade the CS, consider your preference, and decide ^_^

However, you may put in a reservation for a given rank/division. I will keep it in consideration. Especially since I know a good number of you and can attest to your skill level. Note that if you're going to play a captain, that I expect you to be available for posting AT LEAST once every 2 weeks. Hopefully more than that.

Question 1: Will custom kido be allowed? What I mean by this is there are two main theories on the subject and would like to know which one this rp will go by. The first is that there's a finite number of kido and each spell is numbered from one to ninety-ninety. The other one is there's a potentially infinite number of kido and the number isn't really the place a spell falls under as far as ranking goes, but refers to the spell's power.

Question 2: Would a sample CS be too much to ask?

1.) Custom kido will be allowed and I follow the second theory meaning that a given spell's number denotes the difficulty one will have casting it. It's not necessarily power, more along the lines of how hard it is to learn/master.

2.) You're going to need to explain what you mean by that. I have the blank character sheet in the Opening Post here, but if you mean "Can I see one of those, but filled out," then I'm gonna say you might have to wait a bit. If something specific is confusing you though, I can do my best to explain. I'm working on my characters for this at the moment too so I don't have a finished one just yet.

@MysT3CH Ah, I had honestly forgotten to include that. I'll find somewhere to put it in the OOC. For now though...hmmm.

It's been about 4 years since everyone was kicked from the Seireitei. I'd like to say that some of the "Old gotei," surrendered and basically consented to being under the supervision and jurisdiction of the "New Gotei," shinigami.

The majority of the shinigami who did get kicked out were the higher ranked ones (from 10th seat upwards, more or less. Note that there are 20 seated officers in any given division (including Lieutenant and Captain). About a year after ya'll were exiled, I'd say 60-70% of that group spread out to deal with the increase in hollow activity in the world of the living. This group is the 30% left after some of its members tried to attack the Seireitei again to reclaim it (twice) and failed, not returning.

A total of 7 Captains(including the Captain Commander) are confirmed to be alive, one confirmed dead, and the rest MIA, but not confirmed dead.

This group will be composed of Five Captains. One will be the Captain Commander, two are Veterans, two are normal captains. There are four lieutenants in our group, with those outside of it, barring two of them who are MIA, spread out across the world of the living managing the other shinigami.

Thee rest will be individuals from 3rd seat to 6th seat in former rank. So yeah, there's that. This group has only been assembled for a few months, let's just say 4 months.

Tl;dr

Timeline:
>Got exiled 4 years ago.
>1 year after exile most shinigami split away and spread over the world of the living.
>4 months ago our current group started gathering and training/trying to figure out how to reclaim the Seireitei.

Group Stats:
>1 Captain Commander
>2 Vet captains
>2 Normal captains
>4 Lieutenants
>Any number of 3rd-6th seat members...within reason.

Notes:
>12th division captain and lieutenant are both MIA.
