Hmm... now the hard part. Choosing a single character out of the entire multiverse...
I'm interested.
Saito Tajima

Saito stared at the ramshackle school with a vacant expression. The building was in even worse condition than the orphanage was. However, the orphanage did have an army of kids to do chores every day and keep the place clean. Maybe once everybody got settled in, they'd all just pitch in to try to get the place back in shape. It was the least they could do since they weren't being charged a tuition or anything like that. He kinda wanted to be the one to open the doors, as there seemed to be some kind of surprise inside, but Arden stepped forward and took the key before he could consider asking. Oh well. Perhaps it was best that an important person like him opened the door. It was cool to see that at least one of his classmates knew how to take initiative like that.

Then, he looked over at Maemi, who had her hands pressed together in prayer. She looked to be nervous about something, and he already felt bad for her since she was just told there would be no clubs. She seemed really nice, though, so maybe this would be an opportunity to make a friend. "I wouldn't mind starting a club with you if you want," he said in a soft voice. He honestly had no idea what kind of club he would want to be a part of, but it couldn't be too hard to find something that they were all interested in.

Ryuuto Koriyama

Ryuuto stared at the ten dollar bill on the table. He was so used to using his credit card for all his purchases, he had almost forgotten what the things looked like. However, ten dollars was hardly enough to entice him. In fact, hardly any of the students on the campus besides Mina would be able to even phase him with a monetary bet. Ryuuto adjusted his glasses and grinned. "Now, now, gambling is not allowed on campus, and we wouldn't want a teacher catching us. However, I'm sure we can think of a more... creative thing to bet." He adjusted his glasses and turned to Akiko. "And of course, you can participate too, if you want. What I want is..." His glasses gleamed. "...information. I want to know your abilities, their limitations, what you can do, what you can't do. your weaknesses. What do you say we bet one piece of information at a time? It'll be much more valuable than ten dollars should we be pitted against each other." Ryuuto grinned, hoping the two would accept his challenge.

This looks cool, but I'm not exactly new to combat RP. Wouldn't be fair for me to be a contender.
Okay, I'll get up a post tomorrow! I'm currently feeling sick. :<

Aww! Feel better!
Her last post was 12 days ago in this RP. I don't think we should let her grind us to a halt.

Saito Tajima

Saito's attention immediately whipped over to Elizabeth when he called for their attention. Discipline had been drilled into him at the orphanage. When an adult spoke, you listened. He was pleasantly surprised by the gentleness in her voice. Her welcome was warm and helped to put Saito at ease, though he wondered how anyone would arrive here accidentally. Who just went around ripping letters without reading them? However, he wasn't sure if he would call himself "dedicated to the art of magic." Yes, he wanted to learn about the weird abilities he discovered, he didn't think he would even be that good at it. He came here on a whim. Would he get expelled for incompetence? Well, he supposed he could still give it a shot, especially since his classmates seemed so friendly... well most of them anyway.

He looked to the roughed-up pointy-eared guy when he started talking about a horseback riding accident. He was immediately impressed. Was this guy some kind of billionaire? It was so cool that he knew how to ride a horse. Saito's hand went to his stomach at the mention of lunch. And he knew how to ask the pertinent questions. He wondered if he would want to be friends... but his attitude was making him a bit difficult to approach maybe he'd start with some of the nicer students.

Like Maemi, the girl asking about school clubs. That was an interesting question. There didn't seem to be many other students around. He supposed if there was going to be a club, they'd all have to agree on it. He remained quiet, waiting for Elizabeth to answer their questions. He didn't really have any of his own to ask. Or rather, he had so many, it was better just to wait for his education to start.
For the sake of plot, let's pretend that my severely rounded, and probably mathematically unsound calculations are correct. Lol.
Ryuuto Koriyama

Ryuuto completed his rendezvous with Kasuke and Jun-Sang, swapping notes (or rather, sending them a shitload of multimedia files) without many words. He was surprised at how little he got from Kasuke, though. Perhaps she didn't think any of the new recruits were notable, but it was a shame since he had hoped somebody had caught what Hana did. He did get plenty of other useful information, though, and decided to go get settled in. However, something caught his eye...

He stopped when he saw the game of dice being played. "Chinchirorin, eh?" He walked up to the stand, curious enough about the game to approach the violent redhead. To his amusement, it seemed like she had no idea how to play. "It's a push," Ryuuto explained when she asked what her hand meant. "Banker set point at two, you rolled a two as well. Not sure how he wants to resolve the push, especially since there don't appear to be any stakes involved. Sometimes bankers will require a push be resolved by another hand with double stakes. Pretty exciting, but that rule can often deter the players because they'll go into the game unsure of how much they're going to lose." He adjusted his glasses. "Or, I could jump in and try to beat you both." Ryuuto didn't have much experience actually gambling, but he knew quite about about statistics and probability, and he had read up on lots of rule sets.

His mind raced 50% of the combinations result in a reroll, so those are negligible. This means 5% chance of an automatic loss, roughly 14% chance of rolling a one, and same for a two. That makes my odds 19% chance of losing, 14% chance to tie, and 67% chance to win. Good odds... "Sure, I think I'll roll."
