Edwin always hated public actions, may it be celebrations held by his family or army parades, he had always felt like an idiot, standing there and looking representative. He wore the official uniform for the first time after many years, and it didn´t feel quite right, despite being tailored, especially for him. It have brought bad memories back and made him recall experiences he´d rather forget. But there he was, taking his part in a very expensive, interracial project with no lesser goal than the defeat of the greatest threat sentient life ever faced. Dozen years back, he would wet himself just to get the opportunity to do something like this.
Now, he was way more sober about such things. So he just stood there, as straight and professional as much as he could.
His new commander (how much he hated that dammed word) was a good speaker. He made a good point there, appealing on a same goal and enemy, saying all the things that common people want to hear. Edwin didn´t care about such things. For him it would be enough if man just said "Stand together and fuck reapers," and nothing more.

The ship looked at least as high-tech and expensive from the inside as from the outside. Edwin had only very basic understanding of spaceships, but even he could tell that this ship top class.
At first he just wanted to wander around, see what things ship has to offer, but sight of three strange figures caught his eyes. A turian, volus and a krogan. It sounded like a start of a stupid joke, but from what he had heard, it was his new team. Edwin did not know if he should laugh or cry. He chose the middle option and introduced himself. "And I will your fourth musketeer. Edwin Bellard, in all his grace."

Name: Maccio Rainhard
Age: 20
Soulforging Specialty:
Maccio is able to rapidly transport from place to place in very limited distance (around one meter), a thing that makes him, with his ability to enhance his agility, swiftness and acrobatic abilities in general to inhuman level, makes him a very mobile target.
Abilities
Maccio is capable of creating limited illusions, like altering the look of cards or dices to play in his favor or making an illusion of fire for a distraction.
Skills:
If there is anything like a professional rogue, Maccio would be one. Being a burglar, thief, gambler and juggler, he learned all tricks of the trade he needed to be successful in such shady professions. Be it lock picking, pick pocketing, stealth moving or art of cheating, he almost mastered them all. He is also more slippery then a flock of eels, being able to escape from almost every situation live can throw at him.
Equipment:
Apart from regular cadet stuff he received at start of his training, Maccio always carries a small leather pack with a few things left from his previous life. The burglar and lockpicking tools that were too expensive and useful to be left behind, a deck of cards and a pair of dices. He also carries a slim rapier, hidden in a cane like looking sheath, with a tip from bronze and a white tricorne hat.
Backstory:
Although most people would count Maccio as an orphan, he would never think about himself in that way. He was born in a local brothel to a whore (even if he is very, very unkind to anybody who uses the name in abusive way) and her client. As such, he never had problem with a lack of "parental" figures. Although being raised by a group of harlots, and some of their more kind clients, is not something most people would call the happiest childhood, Maccio considered himself lucky. The closest thing to a father Maccio ever had was mister Rainhard. He was one of the regular clients and he was particularly interested in Maccio´s well being. Despite the rumors, that he was a murderer and criminal of the worst sort, he had always been kind to a boy and even taught him every skill he would need to survive on streets, needless to say that Maccio was a natural talent. He even bought him an expensive hat, the kind of nobles used to wear, and a fine crafted rapier with a tip from a bronze!
But one day, his visits stopped. Maccio waited on him for a long time with mixed feelings. He felt scared, thinking Rainhard might have been hurt and in the same time he felt betrayed, thinking his patron might dumped him. A few days had passed until he found it was the later. Rainhard´s corpse was hanging in the middle of square. Poor bastard have been executed for almost endless list of crimes, ranging from a thievery to coldblooded murder.
It almost broke young Maccio. He became wild and reckless, trying to get some revenge on a system that had his mentor executed. Marccio was accepting jobs, that even his former teacher would forbid. Initially, he was successful. He was able to steal great riches from wealthy men and it had made him name on the street. He gained prestige and infamy and that is never a good thing in his profession.
The cage clapped sooner than Marccio could enjoy his fresh riches. He took a job that should be easy and because of a sheer arrogance and lack of a proper preparation, he ended up trapped with almost dozen of guards, surrounded with no way to escape. But it still didn´t stop him from trying. He took down almost a good half of them and badly scraped the others, a feat so impressive that in the end, he was given a choice. Either he will hang in the air next to his mentor or he will serve in army...
My life is basically a commercial for unspent free time, so I am always ready. And about CO, I think it would not be too much a problem to put some "NPC" with red shirt to lead until everything settles down. And then, you know what happens to people wearing red shirts...
None at all. Played femshep almost every time, her voiceover was terrific.
I still want him to be good guy, just willing to do some sacrifaces. Also what gender Shepard is in this setting?
Well... I would prefer Shepard to be more renegade not a typical Mary sue like hero.
That end was sooooo dissapointing (not terrible, but Shepard deserved something way more epic). I was so angry with it that in my second playthrough, I tried to shoot that kid, without knowing what it will trigger. And my ending was even waaaay more disapointing....
So we will be only secondary, while Shepard will do all that memorable stuff?
Name: Edwin Bellard
Appearance:
There is no way for anyone, unless he walks in crowd of bloodthirsty krogans, to unnoticing Edwin. He looks like all the most dangerous districts in Omega summed into short framed, blonde package. His face looks like an indecent compromise between handsome, somewhat boyish appearance and look of hardened veteran with differently colored eyes (one is green, other blue) carrying glassy look of someone who saw too much in too little time, little bit deformed nose (reminder of quite literal face to face experience with krogan) and mouth crooked in derisive grin, all the that topped by wild nest of pale blond hair. Most of the time he covers his face with black helmet with stylish picture of turian (nothing personal) skull.
Rest of his body is covered in armor of same sort and from many scratches and dents it´s easy to figure out, that armor served its purpose for long time.
Race: Human
Age: 35
Biotic ability: none
Biography:
Edwin had rich childhood, literally. His father earned great fortune from import of alien goods for Alliance and Edwin had all everything he ever wanted. His father wanted him to be politician or business man like himself, and hired best personal teachers he could find. But Edwin, unlike his siblings (he had two of them, older brother and younger sister), was never interested in things like school or wealth. Why bother with office work when there is whole galaxy to see, he often said. He wanted to deal with alien cultures (but not only in business matters like his father) and explore surface of foreign planets. With idealistic mind such as his, it was no surprise when he joined Alliance military forces. His family did not take it too well. He became black sheep and his dad even disinherited him. Edwin didn´t care, he had goal to achieve.
Military training was tough, but he made it through with notable record making him top material for special forces and his future looked once again bright. Even if soldier´s life was a lot less about adventure and lot more about drill, he enjoyed his new career. His few first deployments against batarian pirates in Terminus system were huge success and after while he made his name among other soldiers.
Everything changed when command send his team to find and eliminate batarian slaver, hiding in old turian outpost. Edwin and his tame were able to get there with little to no fuss, but once they found the Slaver mission turned into bloodbath. Edwin´s team was outnumbered and what was worse, outpost served as "storage room" for human "cargo.
Only Edwin survived. All of his teammates were dead, slavers and slaves met the same destiny. Only Edwin survived, and it had broken him. No longer he could serve in military, being forced to retire. He tried to reestablish contacts with his family, trying to get a decent civil job, but it didnt last long. He trained to fight and it was only thing he could do. He ended up in Omega as one of many guns for hire. He worked for everyone with enough credits and soon earned a reputation of reliable and efficient freelancer.
He had several invitations to join Blue suns, Eclipse or even Blood pack (what would make him first human member) gang, but he never gave up his individuality. He always worked alone, until offer from Consortium came. Nobody knows why did he accepted it, maybe it was because he saw threat of reapers, or because of the pile of credits they promised to him , but soon enough, he found himself aboard.
Personality:
Edwin is a cocky bastard, and that only when he has his better days. Most of the time, he is a living commercial for bad habits. Pure cynicism mixed with cheap booze, cigarette smoke and a burning hatred for authority.
However, in action his old soldier´s instincts kick in and he becomes a completely different person. Once he is fully focused on mission, there is only a few things that could stop him from achieving it.
His trust is not easy to gain but he himself is as trustworthy as a mercenary can be, never breaking his deal or betraying his employer as long as terms of his deal stay unchanged.

Position: mercenary, combat specialist
As a former member of special forces, Edwin is best at fast deployments where are his combat efficiency and surgical accuracy required most . Sabotages, assassinations and hit-and-run actions are his specialty and its needless to say he is very good at his work, even if little bit rusty.
Other:
I think four or fiv should be enough to keep things together and smooth.
