So as you might have already guessed, this is a rp based in the Papers, Please universe. It's 5 years after Papers, Please and Kolechia and Obristan are preparing for war. Terrified of the Obristan war machine, Kolechian citizens are fleeing to neighboring countries, some getting in legally, many trying to cross the border illegally. You are a government employee of Arstotzka. What you did before you became a Border Policeman/ woman is up to you. Your character and their comrades will face many choices and dangers as a border officer. How you deal with these situations will shape the rp and the world... for better or worse.
In the last 5 years, Obristan economy has flourished, to the bewilderment of the rest of the world. The Obristani government guards all their knowledge jealously and how they are doing so well is a mystery. It was confirmed though by several anonymous sources, that they are upgrading their military exponentially and this worries world leaders. What reason do they have for upgrading like this. Do they expect war? Do they want war? These questions were asked every day until the Kolechian-Obristan conference in Yurka City on May 23, 1986. According to reporters and a live television broadcast that confirms it, the leaders of both Obristan and Kolechia got into a heated argument about the Koslo Canyon, rich with resources, that sits between the two nations. The argument ended with Premier Vesvolod Gorohkov of Kolechia breaking Chancellor Gazo Treun of Obristan's nose.
