Christian Blackwell

One year ago,
Madrid, Spain
3:00am

The only light that shone throughout the large dark office was the light glow of the computer that sat on the desk in the middle of the room. Its glow lighting up the face of the light brown haired male that sat infront of it, his gloved fingers moving quietly on the keyboard as he searched through recent history, files, and blueprints until he found what he was looking for. Only to sigh and mutter curse words under his breath as the words flashed a crossed the screen. Security Level 3 access only, password required.

Christian put a memory card into the USB port and watched as couple of screens popped up, one of which a black screen with green words and numbers rolling through the possible passwords looking for the right one. Christian leaned back in the desk chair as he rubbed his eyes. This could take hours and it was really getting late. Or maybe not as the codes had been running only ten minutes before the dinging noise came. The password was written in and accepted, the screen was filled with the files popping up and were quickly downloaded within minutes.

This had to have been one of his easiest missions yet, despite the fact this building was always busy no one had even came near the office he was in. Getting into the building was easy, hell there hadn't even been anyone at the front desk. The hacking was easy, finding the files was easy. Christian couldn't help but frown at the screen, one click and all of the data he stole would be wiped clean, including any proof he had been here. One click. But the whole thing was to easy, and he couldn't help the gut feeling he was getting.

Clearing the delete button away, he leaned up starting to read the data he had just copied. "What the fuck?"

When Christian went black, he was labeled a double agent within a week after he was supposed to check in before their boss covered his ass. Chris didn't even have the chance to reach out to Amanda, or anyone for that matter for help, or to tell everyone what he found out. Luckily he had hacked the for files the agency years later and corrupted the information they had on his family members.

That had been a year ago, a year he spent looking over his shoulder continuously. A year sweeping everywhere he went for bugs. Changing aliases very month, if he kept them even that long. He went nowhere he didn't need to, never got comfortable in one place, and didn't eat only food he didn't make himself. Some could call him paranoid, and they'd be right! Amanda had taught him well, he knew what would happen if he wasn't. At least until he was sure that any spy that was chasing after him would have given up. He was a ghost by now. Right?

Christian sighed as he sat back in the comfy couch, in his tiny apartment. Actually Matthew Wattson's apartment, it seemed like forever since he had heard the name Christian Blackwell. He didn't even hear his name on the news anymore, he was free of his past, other than the file drive that he still kept, the only thing in the world that still held the information that labelled their boss a double agent. Maybe now that he was safe he had a chance to clear his name. Yeah....that's right Chris, you can finally breathe as you sit back and relax. Let's start the chase again. Dumbass. He shook his head as he finished scolding himself in his head, lifting the glass that still held a little bit of liquor to his lips and swallowing the last of it. "I never used to drink before this shit." He muttered to himself before sitting the glass down on the table beside him as he flipped through the channels on the television.

Only finding stupid reality shows and crappy spy movies that didn't even come close to the truth behind the job. "No wonder people thing that all spies are body builders or chauvinistic pricks." He said as he turned the television off and grabbed the liquor bottle and poured himself another glass. "You drop half those guys in the dessert they'd thirst to death." He added to his rant with a laugh as he stood up from his couch grabbing his drink and heading towards his bedroom. Sleep sounding a lot better than sitting around talking to himself.

It had been a year. A whole year of her training for this day, for this moment and she couldn't let the agency down. She wouldn't have taken a mission like this a year ago but over time, things change and indeed they did. Amanda couldn't believe that Christian, someone she had trained and kept close by her side was a double agent. Christian out of all people. Amanda was a little bit upset and disappointed when she had received the news from Agent MacDonald, who had even assigned this mission to her. After multiple declines, he had told her that either she accept the mission or he'd send someone else to track him down and do more than get rid of him.

Amanda had settled herself up in a hotel near Christian's location. She didn't bother to leave her room unless she really needed to. She had finally tracked him down and was ready and set for this moment. She had spent hours practicing, shooting her arrows and making sure she had everything down before coming here. Amanda sat down on her bed with a smile while reminiscing the first mission her and Christian were sent on as a pair.

It required them to travel to Las Vegas. They had to act like a newlywed couple as they had to figure out and find some documents from a visiting ambassador. Even though it was a mission, she kind of did like Christian and even cuddled with him a few nights. Amanda sighed while coming back to reality and grasping the covers within her clutches as she leaned over and punched the soft, cushioned pillow.

"Damn it, Christian! Why you?!" She cursed while getting up from her seated position on the bed and getting dressed in an trench coat that stopped just above her knees, she had on a sleeveless t-shirt underneath the coat. She had on a pair of black, biker pants and black boots adorned her feet. She had grabbed her bow and arrow and stuffed it inside of a bag along with a few other weapons she might have needed. Amanda trained Christian and taught him everything he knows - Well, not everything but almost everything. She glanced around her hotel room one more time before exiting and walking out.

She had stopped by the desk and checked out with the front desk clerk. "Have a great day, Madison." The clerk had said as she returned a soft smile and thanked him. While exiting the hotel, she went towards the back of the buildings, trying not to be seen and she wasn't. Amanda had reached her destination, the point of her attack as she was perched on top of a building across from Christian's apartment. She had taken out two hairbands and tied her hair up into a ponytail, leaving a few strands to fall over her left eye. She knelt down and took out her notepad, writing down a note.

Amanda then took out her bow and arrows, sitting them aside and grabbing a few small knives along with arrows, stuffing them in her boots. She then stood up with her bow in hand and placed the arrow bag on her back. She knocked an arrow, attaching the note to it, looking as Christian had just went into his bedroom. She aimed and pulled the string back, keeping her breath calm them shot the arrow as it shattered through the glass window pane that lead to his bedroom, going over his bed and attaching itself to the wall along with the note that read "Guess Who? :)".

When the arrow was shot and after Christian read the note, Amanda had already taken course by going down multiple fire escapes, running through the small street and pushing herself through Christian's window, shattering it as she landed on her right knee then quickly stood up and knocked an arrow, pulling back the string but she didn't released it - She couldn't. Amanda was shaking as she couldn't go through with this but she had to. "Christian. You have failed this agency." Amanda's shaken voice said as she breathed, ready to fire. "Before I shoot this arrow, I want to know why. Why you out of all people be a double agent?" She had asked while locking her gaze with his, waiting to hear his statement.

Christian had expected to go to bed and pass out, like he had the last two months. Then he'd wake up and go to the crappy job that he had managed to get, to keep his crappy apartment and put food on his table. Come home and eat before doing the same thing over gain. Or at least that was until the something broke through his bedroom window. His first reaction was of course to duck and grab the glock that he kept under his pillow every night even still. He looked at his window, before standing up and reading the note on the arrow above his head. Son of a bitch!

Of course it had to be her. Of course it had to be Amanda who they sent after him! He knew that she was one of the best, she had taught him almost everything that he knew. He had liked her even then, he would even lose sometimes when they were sparing on propose, so they would have to go again. Their first mission in Las Vegas they had cuddled together even a few nights, he honestly could remember that more clearly than he could remember the mission. He ready had hoped she wouldn't have believed all the shit that had been spread about him, she was the one that knew him best in the agency.

Christian flinched back towards the bedroom door as Amanda came busting through his window. By the time he pulled up his gun, finger on the trigger and pointed at her, she already had a arrow pulled back and ready. Damn he had forgotten how fast she was. He already knew he wasn't going to use the gun in his hand. He wouldn't pull the trigger, he couldn't. Christian didn't want to try and kill Amanda, at the same time he didn't want to die. Even with the arrow aimed at his face, part of him was happy to see her. Oddly while he was feeling all of those feelings, all he could think was now he would have to pay to fiix that stupid window.

A sad look crossed his face as he sighed. "Hey Ams." He said his finger slowly leaving the guns trigger. He could see the fact she was shaking, honestly he didn't know if that made him feel better or not. It made him feel better that she didn't want to kill him, but it made it worse that the agency had forced her to hunt him down. When she said that shit about faling the agency his face quickly when from sad to angry. She didn't know what she was talking about! When she asked why he did it Christian couldn't help but get her a look. "Why for the money of course, I mean look at the this fancy place I'm living in. Hell I'm rich, I eat the fanciest food, and I have the nicest bed there is." He said waving around a bit with his free hand.

"Damnit Amanda! I'm not a double agent, if I was a double agent I wouldn't be running around poor, barely making enough to feed myself. And may I just add that every time someone calls me Matt I want to kill them a little bit. I didn't fail the agency! The agency failed me!" He couldn't help but yell angrily at her, before a soft sad replaced the anger on his face. He looked down at the gun in his hands and shook his head. "I never thought you would be the one who took the job to hunt me down. I hoped you wouldn't believe them."

Christian dropped the gun and kicked it towards her before looking at her and raising his hands. "You know me better than that Ams, I wouldn't stab you in the back like that. I'm not the double agent. Adams is, the files I was sent to get have proof."

'Hey Ams.' Was what Christian had said as they both had their desired weapons of choice pointed towards each other. She fought back a tear or two when he had spoken that little nickname he had given her. At first, it annoyed her then suddenly, it grew on her. Amanda was fighting herself on the inside, knowing that she didn't really want to be in this predicament. It was really bothering her as she knew that he was noticing her shake. Amanda kept her eyes firmly on Christian then on his finger as it was slowly moved from the trigger.

With a raised brow, her eyes twitched when he started to speak. When he explained to her that he wasn't a double agent, she honestly knew but the agency convinced her otherwise. Amanda still fought back a few tears as she breathed through her lips. When he said that he'd never stab her in the back, she looked at him, shaking his head.

"I'm sorry, Christian." Amanda extended the bowstring back and released the arrow, missing Christian purposely and the arrow flung right into the middle of his head board behind him. "I believe you, honestly. I knew you wouldn't double cross us. Hell, I didn't train you that way." She teased slightly while throwing her bow down to the ground and walking up to him, placing her hands inside of his with a smile. She didn't care if this was a trap or not but feeling Christian's hands in hers again felt so right.

Amanda sighed releasing her hands from his now, turning her back on him and speaking while walking up a little bit before turning back to face him. "Do you still have the files to prove that Adam is a double agent?" She asked curiously and with an arched brow while bending down to pick up her bow and strapping it to her back now. She had turned her comm ear piece off when she crashed through the window but then turned it back on, placing her index finger over her lips towards Christian.

"The job has been done. I'm taking a brief break from the agency. This hit a bit too hard." Amanda said with fake sniffles as the other person on the line said that it was fine and immediately disconnected. Amanda took the ear piece out of her ear and walked over to the shattered window and threw it out then turned back towards Christian.

"So, what do we do now?" It was weird to ask someone else that since she's usually the one that comes up with the plans. Even though she believed Christian, she was still on her toes, hence the reason while she stuffed a few daggers and arrow darts all over her. Amanda had wanted to get comfortable but not too comfortable yet as she walked closer to him again, biting her bottom lip out of nerves.

Christian watched as Amanda pulled back the string to her bow that was still aimed at him. She had apologized, and honestly if it had been anyone but her, he wouldn't believe them if they apologized before killing him. It really was a shame she didn't trust him nearly as well as he hoped, but at least he could be at peace knowing he could stop running. Christian heard the arrow hit something behind him though, and he opened his eyes looking behind him at the headboard of his bed, which now had an arrow sticking out of it.

"I believe you, honestly. I knew you wouldn't double cross us." Amanda had said as he looked back at her lowering his hands, chances were she didn't even know how good it felt to hear those words. When he left, he didn't have a chance to contact anyone. How many of the people who used to think of him as friends thought of him as a traitor now? How many of the people that didn't even know Christian as a spy had the agency harassed? Still somehow it felt like a bigger relief to hear Amanda say those words, than it likely would have anyone else.

"Hell, I didn't train you that way." Christian couldn't help but actually smile at her teasing him lightly as she threw her bow down and came over, taking his hands. For the first in what felt like forever he actually relaxed a little at the gesture, and small sigh coming out. He hadn't ever been much of a hand holder, but this felt kind of nice. Like a small little show of her trusting him, though it was over fairly quickly.

Her next question caused him to pause though as he watched her go back over and get her bow. She had taught Christian not to get too comfortable too quickly. What if this was some kind of trap? Maybe Agent Admans found out he had a copy of the memory card. Though he shoved the thought from his mind. If that was the case she wouldn't even need him. Christian nodded his head as she looked back at him. "Yeah, I have the card I took and a back up copy." He answered her. "You did train me after all."

Christian quieted down when she turned on her ear piece, when she lied and told them that he was dead, it was enough to make him have to fight back from being the emotional one for once. A whole year of living in hell was officially over with, and he heard it for himself. Even though he had given up on searching for bugs in every room, and worrying about being killed by something he ate or drink. There had still been a part of him that sometimes leery of his own shadow.

Christian didn't answer Amanda's question at first, not just because he wasn't used to her being the on asking what to do. Or because honestly he didn't even know. But because at the moment he didn't know if he could make words, emotions weren't near as cute coming from him as they were from him. After a moment he cleared his throat and walked over to his bed. "Honestly I never thought it was worth thinking of what to do after I could stop running." He admitted with a head shake before reaching under his mattress pulling a knife out. "I guess there is only one thing to do at the moment until I can think of what next." He said looking up at her before he reached out and turn the nightstand beside him out from the wall.

Using the knife he forced the hollow back of it out show where he his his high tech laptop and his weapons. "It shouldn't be any surprise this place gets robbed a lot when I'm not here." He said puling the laptop and the memory card he had hidden there out. Turning the computer on he put the card in patting the bed beside him. "The laptop in untraceable." He added as he handed it to her.

The screen filling up with files that he had taken. Not only files on top secrecy government weapons, but aliases of spies out in the field at the time, mission plans, real names and addresses, not only of spies but government officials, and last but not least proof of Agent Samantha Adman's involvement in getting the information.

She had let out a soft chuckle when she had asked him what should they do. It was usually her coming up with the ideas but this time, it felt a bit different since it really wasn't her fight - For now, anyway. She had heard Christian's answer to her question then nodded her head while sitting her bow down and taking the arrows off of her back and sitting them down, as well. "Okay. Let's get to work then." She had said with a smile. Amanda did indeed train Christian very well. He had honestly no idea that she didn't teach him everything and the thought made her a bit sad.

Listening to Christian talk, Amanda had gazed up his body and features and saw that he honestly hasn't changed over the year. She shook her head of all the thoughts right now and focused on the task at hand. She continued to listen to him then saw he had pulled out a knife then looked towards her. Reluctantly, she would've pulled out one of her own but instead, she didn't. Amanda watched as he turned towards his nightstand and stabbed the hollow bottom and pulled out his laptop and weaponry. "Aw. You kept the first dagger I threw at you." She had said while picking it and admiring it then eyed him with a soft smile while sitting it down now.

"And this is really easy to get into. I didn't have to bust myself through your window, honestly. I could've just shimmied through the front door and been like, arrow here and there." Amanda said with the shrug of her shoulders then looked at him, grabbing his laptop and sitting it on the desk nearby and saw a load of files piling up. "Oh, my goodness. Great job, Christian." She had given him a high five then continued to stare at the screen then the last hit her - Samantha Adman. She had been apart of the agency since day one and even told Amanda, herself, that she had pure potential.

"Uhm..." Amanda got up and turned her back from Christian, eyes filling up with tears that she again held back. Amanda couldn't believe that someone she had trusted for so long, listened to and even heeded their advice. "So, if you have all of this information, then we could really turn things around, you know." She had said while turning back around to face him with a soft smile. "Oh, my. Amanda and Christian working another assignment together - Off record!" She squealed because she was so happy to be working with him again.

"We'll go down in spy history." She added then looked at him while grabbing a notepad from her boot and writing down all of the information then closing it and eyed Christian. "Alright before we get going. I need to shower." Amanda said while getting up and going over to the bathroom, showering really quickly and loving it when the warm water hits her body, relaxing her bones with a certain ease. She had gotten out of the shower then walked back out to put on an extra pair of clothing she had brought with her.

Amanda stared at Christian while packing her weapons and some of his in a bag while throwing him his backpack for his laptop and whatever else he needed to bring along with him. "Okay. I'll meet you out front." She leaned in to kiss his cheek but then held back and diverted her eyes and grabbed the dagger. "Can't forget this baby." Amanda had confidence in this assignment and knew that no one would come looking for her since she was taking a break but you could never be too sure.

A small smile was flashed at Amanda as she mentioned the dagger before he nodded looking down at his computer. "Of course, that's my lucky dagger." Christian said matter of factly, though it hadn't been the only reason he had kept it with him even now. It was a very small thing he could keep and use, but also remember Amanda by when he went on missions without her. Or run away for a year. When she brought up shimming into the apartment and shooting a few arrows, Christian looked up at her and simply stared at her for a moment. "Yeah, thanks Ams." He said with a small laugh as he handed her the laptop before following her over to the desk.

Christian smiled as she gave him a high five and said he had done a good job, a strange and familiar sense of pride coming over him. "Thanks." Though the smile faded slightly when he saw her reaction to proof Samantha was behind it all. He knew that she and Amanda actually liked each other, and though he hated the woman, he hated seeing Amanda sad even more. Christian opened his mouth to ask if she was going to be alright, but before he could she turned back to him and started talking again.

"Yeah, I guess we really could." Christian answered before Amanda got all squeaky and excited, a soft laugh coming from him, god he had missed Amanda. "Sounds like a good idea, though I really doubt it will as easy as it sounds." He answered nodding before she wrote the information down and went to take a shower. While he was waiting for her to get done he changed out of his comfortable clothes, throwing on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a button down shirt. He sat down at his laptop looking over the names again for the first time in a long time, thinking.

Hearing her coming out of the bathroom, he turned to tell her something he had thought of. Only for him to completely forget it as he saw Amanda come out of the shower to get clothes from her bag. It wasn't the first time that he had seen her nude, but damn at the moment, it seemed like forever ago. He couldn't help but let his eyes sweep over her slowly, as he was reminded of just how much he had missed Amanda. His mind going back to their mission in Mexico when they had to go black for forty eight hours after killing the head of one of the cartels. Christian stared back at Amanda for a moment as she started packing their weapons. "Um...I was going to tell you something but I can't remember what now." He admitted letting his eyes look over her again and linger for a moment before clearing his throat and looking away. "Give me a minute, I'll remember." He added as he caught the bag she threw to him, nodding when she said she'd meet him outside. For a moment it seemed like she was going to lean in to kiss him, but she was just grabbing the dagger instead and Christian couldn't help but sigh. "Yeah, can't forget that."

Amanda was still mad at him it seemed, and he could understand that, because even he knew he had fucked up, royally. Still it hadn't ever been his intention to leave her, and after she put the dagger in her bag, Christian turned to her and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her in closely giving her a tight hug. "I'm sorry I fucked everything up, but I've missed you so much this last year. I'm really glad you're here." He whispered in her ear before squeezing her body lightly in his arms and letting go of her. Honestly, he hated hugs, they always felt awkward and he never knew where the hell his arms were supposed to go. So on rare occasion that he did get them, they never lasted long and hardly ever as long as this one had. "Even if it started out being to kill me." He laughed a little, fingers going up and to tug a strand of hair behind her ear.

Once the moment was over Christian turned and started packing his own bag. Another set or two of clothes to wear, his laptop, hacking equipment, and both of the memory cards. The weapons Amanda didn't pack he decided to keep on him, a few knives and a gun at his hip. Even if the agency thought he was dead and she was taking a break, he wasn't wanting to be too comfortable while on a mission. She had taught him better than that. As he headed out the door he grabbed a few things from the living room and locked the apartment door. Not that it really mattered with the window broken in the bedroom, but still it would have bugged him knowing it was unlocked. As Christian made his way to Amanda he used his keys to unlock the doors of his blue Honda Civic, before offering the keys to her. "You drive and I research like usually?" He asked before taking the bag from her, and putting it and his own bag in the backseat. Though he quickly pulled his tablet so the he could do research on the others while they drove.

"I was going to say that I can easily hack these people's files in the agency's database and find out their last known location. That's how I corrupted everything they had on Guinn when I ran. Maybe it will help us find more of them." Christian suggested looking at her, now that this really was happening and they were starting to work together, even he started to feel a little excited himself. "Where is your notebook?"

Amanda wasn't completely sold on the fact that Christian wasn't a double agent, or not but she certainly was a good actress. She hated playing against Christian but after the things she was told within his absence, she didn't know who to believe right about now. His hugs brought back so many memories that Amanda didn't really need to think about right now. His touch was certainly something that she had missed and she didn't hesitate to show it with a soft smile and the blush upon her cheeks.

When she was alone for a moment while Christian was getting ready, she breathed slowly in and out to make sure she stayed relaxed. Amanda saw Christian coming down the hall and immediately straightened up, she followed him outside with a soft smile, going towards his blue Honda Civic. Hearing his question, she chuckled with a nod of her head, grabbing his keys. "Of course. Pfft, like I'll really let you drive." She said while twirling the key chain around her index finger with a smile and immediately getting into his car, adjusting it to fit her perfectly.

"I am impressed, honestly. You've grown up so fast." Amanda said in a voice, pinching Christian's cheek with a chuckle coming from her afterwards. "Oh, my notebook is in my bag. Let me get it." Amanda pulled over on the side of the road and got out of the car, rummaging through her bag and pulling out her notebook. She got back in and handed it to Christian along with a flash drive. "Here, use this so we can keep your IP address hidden from unknown sources." Amanda said while pulling back on the road.

After driving around for a few minutes or hours, she listened to Christian's directions on how to get to where their destination was. Erica was in Maine. Of course, why didn't Amanda think of that? She was extremely good at tracking people down and she knew exactly where Erica was in Maine, since they have talked a few times before and Erica often told her where she would head off to if she even needed to run away. "Christian, stop talking. I know exactly where she is." After she spoke those words, she told Christian to hold on as she made a wide turn towards the ramp, going towards Maine.

After driving through various sections of Maine, she came across the bus stop. She parked a few distances away and eyed the building. "She is going to be here soon. I can feel it, Christian." She eyed him then continued on driving and parked the car in a parking lot nearby. "We need to go undercover but wearing regular, comfortable clothes." Amanda explained while looking at Christian. The sky was darkening by the minute it seemed and she was ready for action.

Amanda leaned over and hugged Christian. "Good luck." She said after handing him an earpiece then got out of the car. She made her way through the bus stop, unseen and she stood behind the building against a wall. "Come in, Christian. Come in, Christian. Did you spot her yet?" She asked him within the earpiece, awaiting his response. She knew once Erica spotted herself or Christian, she'd run to higher ground so that's exactly the reason why Amanda was waiting outside and behind the building.

Christian let out a small laugh and rolling his eyes at Amanda let go of his cheek, the small sting of it making pitched lingering on the skin. "You know, I'm just as old as you Ams." He laughed shaking his head even though he knew that wasn't how she meant it. He wanted in the front passengers seat as she pulled over and got her notebook out of her bag, nodding and plugging the flash drive into his taplet as he opened the notebook and flipped through, finding the names. It took him a few hours as they drove to hack into the agency hit list but finally after finding the most recently traced on the list he spoke.

"Looks like the last spotted was Erica Campbell, looks like she was first accused of shooting and killing three other agents and an informant on the mob, execution style." He read before stopping and shaking his head a little bit. "She ran two months before me and has killed four agents that were sent after her, and wounded three others who are now being looked into also. That's a shame. She was last seen heading towards the Maine state line...." He continued before Amanda told him to stop talking. After Amanda turned around headed towards Maine he started looking into the case briefing on Erica before letting his eyes close for a moment.

Once they were in Maine and stopped a slight ways away from the bus stop Christian couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Amanda as she told him that this was where Erica was. "It really isn't the most populated of a place to run, she's making herself a easy target." He thought out loud as he looked towards the building, before looking back at Amanda as she started driving again. Christian frowned a slightly as they parked closer, because honestly now that he thought about it more, Erica was making anyone that came after her a easy target also. He nodded his head about going undercover in comfortable clothes. "Honestly that sounds better than normal undercover work." He answered back with a small laugh before Amanda leaned over and hugged him.

Christian tensed up a little awkwardly at the hug for a moment before smiling and hugging her back. "Be careful." He said watching her get out of the car before putting his earpiece in and waiting for few minutes after Amanda went inside before getting out and going inside himself. He hadn't talked to Erica nearly as much as Amanda had, but the times that he had he could tell that the woman was very jumpy. The last thing he wanted to do was cause her to panic if she was inside, if she was already inside and saw two people come in together, she would look at them. If she saw him and Amanda she would do just that. As he started in the door he heard Amanda's voice in his ear. "Not yet, I just walked in. Didn't want to scare her if she is here." He answered her quickly before starting the walk around the small building looking at the people in line for tickets and sitting waiting for the bus.

After a few moments he finally spotted her as she stood up from a bench a few foot infornt of him and started walking towards the back. "Come in, Amanda. I see her but, I think she recognized me. Yeah, she looks panicked. Get ready she's running for the back." He finally finished before he started running after her.

The streets of the large city were getting many more noisy and busy below where she and Walker sat nested on the roof of the tall building. This was supposed to be a simple search and capture mission, the target, a Italian "businessman" with ties to both the rival company and the mob. Erica was supposed to spot the target and inform on location, as well as take out any resistance. While Walker watched the street to take out anyone who got in the way of Erica's mentor and brother, Kenny and Walker's partner Roberts. A simple mission, one she had done hundreds of times...so why did this one seem so, off?

Erica held the scope of her sniper rifle to her eye as she searched through the windows for target as the others talked through the earpieces in her ear. "The streets look clear, at the moment. Though there a few cop cars around the next corner over, might wanna do this one quiet." Walker said sitting behind her making a annoying echo as the words came from his mouth and the ear piece both. "Copy that Walker. Roberts, how's the camera's coming?" Kenny asked and there was a slight delay before she responded back. "Got it. Camera's on a loop from your point of entry to the target and out." There was a small amont silence as Kenny past through the front desk and headed towards where Roberts was planted.

Erica, where is the target? He whispered into the earpiece, and Erica frowned as she continued looking for their target, however there were a lot of windows and people in the building. "Erica.......Erica!" Kenny's voice snapped in her ear making her jump slightly and she frowned pulling the mask over her mouth and nose down. "Calm down Kenneth, I haven't find him yet damn. You're lucky my finger wasn't on the trigger." She snapped back at him angrily. "Second floor, fifth office, he looks like he's alone at the moment. She said finally finding him before covering her face again.

The mission was going to plan as Kenny made his way to the target and had him down on the group putting the zip ties around his wrist. But he stopped for a moment as the man said something, a moment of hesitation before the door opened and agent Robert walked into the room. Erica's free hand went up to her ear to ask Roberts what the hell she was doing. She was supposed to be standing guard where Erica couldn't see. As her hand went up to her ear, she felt the barrel of a gun againest the back of her head. "You should have taken the offer Kenny." Roberts said before shooting Kenny execution style in the back of the head before looking down at the target and shooting him as well.

"Oh my god! Kenny!" Erica screamed, the traffic drowning her out screaming cries before she felt the barrel pressed harder against her skull. "Now, be a good girl and take your hand off the trigger, Erica." With a shaking hand she took her finger off the trigger.

Houlton, Maine

Maine. How would one describe Maine? Cold? Boring? Safe? Safe sounded good to her. Not only had Erica lost the last member of her family and had to watch his dead unavailable to do anything about it. She was also accused of being the one that killed him by the person who ordered his death. She had been running for over a year now, hunted down like a dog all the way from Los Angeles to Maine. Of course she wasn't exactly completely innocent, two of the deaths she was accused of doing, she did. Walker was a sexist pig that didn't expect the good little sniper girl to have a backup gun on her, she shoot him the back of the head when he finished getting the order to kill her as well. And Roberts....well she made sure to take her time and get all the information she needed before shooting her as well.

The other agents, man Erica really didn't want to kill them! She knew they were just doing as they were told. She had tried, tried to reason with them, tried to explain, but no one wanted to believe her. Why would Samantha ever want to kill one of her most loyal agents? Why would they ever believe someone like Erica over their boss? She did what had to do to survive, just like....just like Kenny had taught her. However, now she was safe in Maine on her way back to Canada where she had been born and raised half her life. Her family used to have a plot of land and home in Quebec that was in her mother maiden name, they had left after their parents death, but it was safe. No one knew her mother's maiden name. All she had to do was wait and get on that bus.

The bus stop wasn't very crowded which was nice actually, there were mostly nice happy families that were on their way to visit other family and newlyweds moving to or from Canada. There was even a group of kids on a field trip to the Capital of Maine through this small little stop. Mostly though it was pretty quiet and Erica was able to find a seat where she could watch both doors, even though she was sure that she wasn't followed here.

With it being so quiet she was able to relax for the first time in months. She pulled her hat over her eyes and leaning her head back, Erica let herself teeter on the edge of sleep without actually falling asleep, it wasn't the most restful, but it helped a little bit as she had learned. Snipping wasn't something that could be done right away like plain out shooting people, you had wait and plan. Sometimes it would take days, but you knew that it was where your target was going and you had to wait in case your partner didn't get them. After a few moments sat back straight, over to jump slightly as she saw a little girl stand in front of her chair staring at her, making the girl jump a little too.

"I lost my ball, under your chair." The little girl said quietly with a sad look, and Erica blinked a little bit before using she leg to kick the ball towards her hand and giving it to her. "Thanks!" The girl said smiling and Erica nodded her head with a small smile before looking down at that watch. "Did that hurt?" She asked making Erica look up at her confused.

"What hurt?" The little girl pointed to her lip ring and Erica laughed a little bit. "No, not to me, but I'm a grown up." Erica answered. "Are you sick?""No, I just haven't slept much so under my eyes are black." Erica answered shaking her head. "Is that cause you're sad?" "I'm not sad, I just like black." Erica answered with a laugh guessing that the girl was talking about the fact she wore a black trench coat and her nails were painted black along with her lipstick.

Before the little girl could fire off anymore of her cute little annoying questions her mother yelled for her to come back and Erica smiled softly watched the girl run back to her mother. That's when she saw Amanda's partner Christian walking towards her looking for someone, and she knew who it was.

Slowly she grabbed her bag with her rifle in it and stood up and started to make her way back to the back exit, peeking behind her after a moment to see him following her, talking to himself. She felt panic come over her. Amanda. Where was she? Erica knew if he was with someone it was Amanda. She needed to get to higher ground where she was safe and had control. She peeked behind her again before breaking into and a run slamming into the back door to get outside.

Leaving Christian alone absolutely devastated her as she was more worried about him than she was herself. She knew that those feelings would come back sooner or later and that she'd care even more for him that she had before. Amanda stayed perched against the building, hidden within the shadows as she dropped down to a knee and started digging through her bag, getting out her specialty weapon of choice, the bow and arrows. Amanda knocked an arrow onto the bowstring then heard Christian as he came through her earpiece.

'Damn it, Christian.' She thought to herself while scaling a nearby fire escape and stayed perched upon it until she spotted Erica coming through the back door. Once she did reveal herself from the back door, Amanda shot the arrow but it wasn't an ordinary arrow. It was an explosive one to distract Erica. She had missed purposely as the arrow hit the wall near the door and of course, it was a great distract so when she saw her chance, she jumped down from the fire escape, landing on her feet and knocking another arrow.

"Okay, Erica, here's the deal. We just want to talk." She then looked at herself then back at Erica. "I know it may not seem like it right about now but me and Christian just really want to talk." Amanda said everything through the earpiece as well for Christian to hear so that he wouldn't startle her once he came through the back door. Amanda lowered her bow as she eyed Erica, her breath could be seen through the cold air.

"So, how have..." Amanda couldn't even finish her question as a dagger came whipping an inch from both of their faces and a male dressed in all black dropped down from a nearby building, looking up at both of the females now. "Hello ladies." His voice said as Amanda eyed the male as he looked all to familiar and so was his voice. She wanted Christian to hurry just in case Erica was working with this male or just so that she could take on Erica and Christian could take on the male. Not that she couldn't handle him or anything but she wanted to talk to Erica more than anything.

"Now, which one of wants to die first, huh?" The male asked as he was twirling two daggers, one in each hand, between his fingers while looking at both of them then stopped twirling the daggers, looking at Erica. "I choose you." But before he could throw the dagger, Amanda dropped her bow and arrow and gave the male a leg sweep, knocking him off of his feet as she grabbed Erica by the arm and started running, going around a corner and into a nearby building.

"Christian. Now would be a better time than any for you to show you." Amanda stated towards him within the earpiece as she eyed Erica now. "Who was that bastard? Why does he want to kill us, or more importantly, you?" When times got tough, Amanda really didn't really have a filter except when Christian was around because he brought out the girly girl side of her. As she waited for Erica to answer her question because she just had to know, she was worried about how Christian was fairing with the male right about now.

It's funny how a year can go by so fast and it just makes you forget some things but not all. A whole year ago, he was on what was his last mission of the year but he was being set up the whole entire time. Brandon was standing on a nearby building bow in one hand, arrow in the other as his mission was simple. Take out one of the agents that went to other agency as they have failed. His target, Makayla Andrews. She was disguising herself as a business woman under the name of Sarah Patterson but he had found her and now, she was going to his to kill.

Her car past by his initial point as he knocked his arrow then raised the bow to be aligned with his face, his breathing slowed once he pulled the string back but something happened that wasn't. Brandon always has a keen eye and knew someone was standing behind him so instead of killing Makayla, he turned and shot the arrow towards the person behind him. But it caused him to fall to his knees as he had shot an innocent, a security guard that was just probably coming up to check to see what he was doing.

Brandon laid there beside the lifeless body, sobbing to himself as he then got up to his feet, running towards the edge of the building, looking down and no longer seeing Makayla's car. He cursed under his breath then turned back towards the body as he started running past it. Brandon knew since he failed on his mission that the agency was going to deem him unworthy and come after him to kill him so he went straight to the airport after dropping off his weapons somewhere and got a ticket to Italy. With a sigh of relief, he just knew that he had to be on his toes and ready for whatever.

In Italy, Brandon had brought himself a small villa out there as he stayed mostly inside, training, getting stronger, waiting for the day some agents from the agency were going to come and eventually kill him, or try to. Brandon had stepped outside one day and waved a person passing the street but instead of waving back, the person almost stabbed Brandon in the gut with a knife until Brandon leaned back and somehow managed to get the knife from him and stab him instead. It was a quick and sudden death as he knew more was to come and they did but luckily for him, he was ready as he had been waiting this whole entire time.

While thinking and more thinking, Brandon knew that he had strike the agency down before they did the same to him. So, he decided to go back to America, after tracking every single agent down and kill them off one by one and first on his list was someone he had actually loved, Erica. If there was another agent that Brandon wanted to marry, she'll be the one. But with his feelings aside, he decided that she was his first target because she knew much more about him more than anyone else.

Brandon stepped off of the plane and back onto America's soil as he smirked. Brandon strolled into the building as he heard a familiar voice and saw a familiar face - Sarah. She was now a flight attendant for a popular airline. Sarah walked towards the women's bathroom as he raised a brow, looking around before following her. She knew that he would follow her as when he got inside the bathroom, locking the door, she was there waiting. "Ready to die, Brandon?" Sarah remarked as Brandon admired her arrogance then eyed her. "I could ask you the same thing." It was back and forth action for about five minutes but when Brandon gained the upper hand, he had her in the sleeper hold and dragged her into one of the stalls.

After checking to make sure she was done for her life, Brandon managed to escape the bathroom within being seen as he left his empty bags there. Outside, he breathed in the air with a smile then asked someone standing nearby how to get to Maine from his location. The person responded that he just take that exit over there and Brandon thanked the man while walking towards the exit.

A few days have past as he rented out a warehouse within the city limits of Maine, training once again and even brought daggers, another bow and some arrows and even a pistol as he wanted to practice his sharpshooting skills if he was going to go up against Erica and finally, the day had arrived. The day he was going to kill Erica, the day he had been wanting for. Brandon kind of had no remorse at this point as he zipped the last zipper of his black suit and set up some daggers within his suit. He had a bag for his bow and arrow but decided not to take it though he did take the pistol. As night was falling, Brandon took this as his time to go to the bus station, which was sort of a hangout for Erica.

Once there, Brandon looked down in an alleyway, seeing Amanda and Erica there talking as a lot of time had went by. He placed him his hoodie then threw a dagger past their faces, missing on purpose, of course. Once they were looking the other way, Brandon scaled the building and dropped down beside them, his eyes fixated on Erica occasionally looking at Amanda though. He admired their style as they showed no fear though when he pointed the dagger at Erica, he didn't expect Amanda to give him a leg sweep, knocking him completely off balance and onto his back.

Quickly kipping up back onto his feet, he saw that they were gone but Christian came bursting through the backdoor. His relationship with Christian was more brotherly than anything else - Considering that they're both interested in women. Brandon smirked while looking at Christian as he eyed him. "Wow. I get to kill three agents in one day? Man, this really is my lucky day." Brandon said while pulling out two more daggers and twirling them through his fingers like earlier as he eyed Christian. "So, any last words, bud?" Brandon asked with a slight smirk spreading among his face.
