Type Of RP: This is a period mystery drama. It will have a lot of twists and turns. There will be clues given in posts that you can keep track of to help solve the mysteries as they unfold. Now, something very important - CHARACTERS CAN AND WILL DIE! This will be done randomly when events arise. It can happen to anyone at anytime without warning. You have been warned and I suggest a back up character to pull into the fray if that happens.
Goal Of RP: The actual goal of the RP is not just to Rp but to actually solve the case. You as the Rper collect anything you see placed in posts as your clues and keep track of them. When you think you know you will submit it to the GM via PM - As each case is solved, more will unfold and new chapters will spring forth. (More details are listed below)
Age Requirements: Minimal age for characters is 21, Max age is 70.
Premise
It is the year 1924 and the Tutankhamen craze has taken the world by storm. Ever since the discovery and opening of King Tut's Tomb within the Valley of the Kings the world's eye has been watching Egypt as if it was the Eye of Ra itself. From clothing to home decor; everything seems to be touched by the madness that has sprung up because of the discovery KV62 brought the world thanks to the archaeologist Howard Carter on November 26th, 1922.
With a new discovery though means the seal to the past has been broken. Since that day a weird slew of mysteries has begun to take over not only the Valley Of The Kings but Cairo, as well as other locations in the world. It is said to have begun the very night the tomb was opened when Egyptologist James Breasted came home to find his canary gone and in its place a Royal Cobra whom had eaten it. The Royal Cobra was the symbol of the Egyptian Monarchy and from there the curse of the Pharaoh grew. Pets and illnesses were not the limit of Gods wrath, Death was on the menu.
One such is the death of the financial backer of Carters excavation; Lord Carnarvon. Dying under mysterious circumstances on April 5th, 1923. He died in the Grand Continental Hotel after what appeared to be a mosquito bite that became infected after it was cut while he was shaving on March 19th of the same year. A long death which to some attribute to being involved with the desecration of Tutankhamens Tomb; but we don't believe in all the silly blather about a mummy's curse do we?
What if I were to tell you that he was not the last to die after being in or near the tomb? What about George Gould, the railroad tycoon that visited the tomb then died on the French Riviera suddenly from a fever that came out of nowhere? How about Prince Bey who was shot by his wife suddenly? What about Colonel Herbert, Lord Carnarvon's half brother, who was blinded and died of blood poisoning less than a year after the tomb was opened? Then there was Sir Douglas-Reid who X-Rayed the boy king and died of a mysterious illness just earlier this year.
And then we have what happened on the day of June 14th of this year. Over in England at Beacon Hill we have had a grave robbing. The resting place of Lord Carnarvon in Burghclere, Hampshire has been dug up and his wife Almina reported that nothing was taken but one item. An Udjtat was stolen from around the neck of her now deceased husbands neck; one he had acquired even before he opened the tomb of the King. Seems that more and more is going missing and the rumors are flying.
Our story begins in Cairo. Vera Munn, the niece of Lord Carnorvon, is working at the Egyptian Museum thanks to the curator feeling as if he owes her uncle a favor. Vera is in search of the truth behind her uncles death. She doesn't believe in fairy-tales and hokum; she believes if she can see it and touch it then it is real. That doesn't stop her fascination with the ancient world of Egypt but she wants to know who robed her uncles resting place and why he died.
Now, why are you in Cairo? Are you just another treasure hunter hoping to cash in on the craze? Have you been sent by another country to investigate the death of perhaps someone of high rank? Do you wish to stop the opening of more tombs and the loss of Egypt's wealth to foreigners? Perhaps you are a simple tour guide just enjoying the influx of currency to the region. Either way it does not matter. Like the Sands of Time being drawn through the hour glass you and others will be pulled into this story and be a part of how it unfolds. Each of you have been plagued by a vision, a dream of a single item. Egypt is calling you my lovelies and adventure awaits.

*The housing will be assigned by the Gm after your CS is submitted and approved. It will be partially random - Depending on the character history each character will be assigned chances at particular housing and then the dice will decide. The GM will inform you if your CS is approved what your house is.

- Please remember this is taking place in 1924 Egypt. There will be certain prejudices in place: gender, religion, sexuality, class. So please take this into account as it could be a factor in the RP.

- The world is controlled by the GM - All NPC's, weather, what you see, what you find, what happens, everything. So if it isn't in my post, it didn't happens
- If you wish your character to have "connections" please run it by the GM first to ensure it is acceptable and isn't already being done by another.
- Randomization and LLA is used in this RP - Please refer to my tutorial for a description if you are new to this concept
- Posting Habits
- You are not allowed to use @Mention Tags or Interacting With Headers In IC.
- You are not allowed to copy and paste anything another character has said or posted in a previous post in your posts
- Minimal of 2 well developed paragraphs per post
- Must IC post once every 7 days (It is your job to keep up with when you need to post. Your last post hits Day 8 and I remove you from the RP.)
- I do not accept no inspiration as a reason not to post
- Keep up with all IC and OOC posts
- No word in IC or OOC after 7 days = your character got killed doing whatever stupid screw up I decide (In other words, you're out.)
- If you need additional time to post you must notify the Gm by day 5 of your counter. Extensions will not be granted after that.
- No spamming OOC - Seriously, I will gut you
- Under Extras in the CS place your favorite Egyptian God/Goddess so I know you at least skimmed this...(Ha all you old timers, I move one.)
- Minimal 2 posts between your last
- There is no additional time granted due to forum glitches unless the forum is fully down. A week to post is plenty of time even if the forum glitches a day or two
- Collabs may not be started after your day 5 counter
- If you are collabing and your partner vanishes or does not reply, you must finish the collab and post it before the timer runs out
- If your collab partner vanishes you are granted temporary minimal bunnying privileges to complete the collab
- If your collab partner vanishes, you need to make the Gm aware so it does not count against you
- Know your personal posting limitations before applying to join
- If you cannot post, you must contact the GM and make me aware, you will be granted extra time to post (do not take advantage of this) - I realize real life comes first but you know your schedule better than anyone, if you join it is your responsibility to keep up and not hold up the rest of the Rpers. I will work with you, just let me know what's going on
- Spots are not first come first serve
- Gm will review completed CS first
- Gm will review previous Rp's and posting habits
- Gm will then notify you if you are approved
- Character deaths will happen, no one is safe - it will be randomized and you will be notified when your death approaches. (This does not mean you are out of the RP, it will mean however you need to make a new character should you wish to continue - I recommend having Back Up Characters Ready)
- I am looking for long term highly dedicated Rpers. This RP is a prequel to Darker Than Black, so it is a crossover. (As all my Rp's are in one way or another.) - Now you do not have to be part of the other Rp's but know things will come into play and this is long term. (Example: Darker than Black took 3 months to solve the 1st chapter of many - Murder High Reunion took 4 months to finish the first part.)

- Once Cs's are approved, relation sheet will go up and must be completed and added to CS
- Read through Rpers Guide To Etiquette - This is a good reference for RP Etiquette - It is required reading for the RP and you will be held to everything in it.
- Rules and Cs sheet will be added to and changed as need be depending on problems or points that come up.
- Under Extras in your CS please post a link to a post you have done in the past to show you have read the rules. If You submit a CS without this it may be declined.

Character Sheet
Please, make sure you have actually read the rules for this RP before you even attempt to fill this out. Seriously, read. And, before I forget - NO PREDONE COUPLES OR LOVE INTERESTS! (Seriously, it ruins shit. Remember while romance is welcome it is not the main reason of this RP. If you want to ship your character it has to be done organically and in the RP over time. If you pull a "we just met today and they are now madly in love and will die for each other" - You will.)
This CS must be filled out as specified in the rules and the explanations in the CS code itself. Do not submit a WIP to me. Remember, please do not reuse a character you have used before for this RP. (I do love to lurk in people's character sheet topic and other Rps. >.>) - Character Images are not required but are encouraged. (In place, please make sure to do further in detail in the appearance section of the CS) - Age Calculator - RP Starting Date is Oct 3rd, 1924
Special Note!!! - Those of you in DTB - You may create a character for this that would be the ancestor of your character in DTB!!! (Now, isn't that a hell of a tie in!) ~Note: Do not make the character a direct ancestor, just in case they die you don't want your character in DTB to *poof* if you get my drift.~
Relation/Clue Sheet
*If you solve the case - Submit your answer and how you came to it to the GM via PM!!!
This sheet will be required at a certain point in the RP to remain in the RP, and it will have to be updated through out the RP. (Required submission/update times will be given in the OOC as needed.) - Take notes, use this as your tool. Remember, even though your character might not have a clue, this sheet is of dual nature. Relations are for your character with other characters. Clues are what you are spotting in anything I put out there or have others place in their posts. So look for patterns, hints, and more. You could find them in IC, the CS's, here in the original OOC post. You never know when I might drop a hint.
If you are confused by something, ask me. The worst you will get from me is - No Spoilers. The best might be the clarification you need to solve the crime!
Remember, this is a Mystery RP. You are trying to solve the case(s). Each case solving leads to another. There are rewards granted for sticking it out and surviving each chapter of the RP. Those that solve the case get even more. These can be anything from additional skills granted, to special abilities, artifacts for your characters that can come into play, and even up to a Get Out Of Death Roll Free Card to be used in any of my Rps! (Wouldn't it be nice to give LLA the finger and say "Not today Satan!"?)

Quick Note
Many of the images and background for this RP are based in factual history. Names, places, maps, even images are heavily sprinkled with truth, in fact some of it is right out of a History Books and The Library of Congress. That being said - please remember the following - This is not "Earth." This is the Lady A Universe, so while much might be based on fact - I am pulling a "rewriting it to be what I need for the story" moment - You know, like the actual history channel does. Why am I telling you this and putting it out there? Simple, because if it comes up, and I know it will, that so and so didn't do this or this god was meant to represent that... I don't care. It has been changed for the purpose of the RP, so arguing over it is only going to get you directed to the Rules - Gm is Goddess, Gm has final say in all matters.
