In Character:

Basic Information
A mostly free RP with plot inserted, Deity Kingdoms places you in charge of your own mythology. Gods, cities and men are all important in this RP. As you and your fellow RPs develop your city-state kingdom, events will occur to help things along. The plot, for now, consists of a large overseas empire trying to conquer the island the RP is based in. Attacks will have some time in between, making an alliance only necessary during the invasion and not the times between. Faith is an important role in developing your mythology, and will be used to develop your city, population, and deities.

Rules & Expectations
---You will be in charge of the humans in your nation/city-state and can control them at will only if your Pantheon is the only one affected by the events. The Pantheon Leader has the final say in any conflicts of interest. Otherwise, come up with an agreement OOC before posting something important IC. (Ex: A battle between two armies or a political marriage.) If an agreement can’t be reached, a GM will control one or both human parties. This, for the most part, excludes specifically made player-made characters.

---A defeated god will almost ALWAYS get to choose what happens to them. (Banishment, Reincarnation, or joining the winner’s Pantheon.) No, you can’t abuse this to keep attacking after you’ve lost.

---Pantheon heads distribute Faith to all those in it. OOC contracts can be established between players that can only be broken through IC actions. (Ex: A deity doing something the leader doesn’t like will allow him to lower the Faith distributed.)

---There will probably be conflicts, so if you feel you always have to win or your Pantheon is too awesome to lose, well you should stay in your own city. If you lose your city, you can claim a new one and work to retake your old one. If you feel your god should die in the situation, you keep 90% of the favor you spent on him.

The Members
Usernames

Faith
Faith is the main stat for your deities and cities, and can sometimes be used for specific items or events. There are multiple ways to gain faith, including a weekly income, waging warfare, or doing expeditions. The first page of the OOC will keep track of where each Pantheon’s faith is invested. The more Faith a city has invested, the more advanced things such as its temples, technology, and fields are. The more Faith a God has invested in them, the stronger they and their abilities become. Faith has DECREASING returns for gods, meaning one with 1500 faith invested and one with 1600 faith has minimal difference. Once the RP is under a way, there will be a list of how much Faith is invested where. Faith will always be rounded up to the 10s place.

Weekly Faith Income
Every Friday, all Pantheons will get 300 faith, plus 200 for every user in it, as long as they have posted at least once. (Totals to 500 if you’re alone.) In addition, Pantheons will gain 1% of the Faith invested in their city, always rounded up to the 10s place. (2->10; 12->20)

Warfare
All gods are stronger in their own city-states. This boost increases with decreasing returns with more faith invested in the city. If you plan on attacking another city, it should be coordinated with the player you’re attacking. Both armies and gods are important forces. If a god loses, their army will retreat or surrender. If an army takes a city, the invading gods will receive the city’s boost. All factions will receive an equal Faith Bonus for fighting, and if a native force is forced out their Pantheon head will steal half of that week’s favor income from the city.

Expeditions
Warfare against uncontrolled areas. Essentially you post raiding, mining, or quest storylines, and will be rewarded (assuming you didn’t half-ass it.) Each post will give 100 favor. If you post consecutively (double-post, etc.) or post poorly, it will remove 100 favor from the Expedition total (Never goes below 0.) Although expeditions are here to encourage making your own storylines, others will also receive Faith rewards for joining in. Rewards half after every 4 posts (400->450; 600->630) and half again for every expedition prior to the current within the week. (Resets after Faith Income.)

For those who posted a bio in the interest check, please pay attention to any changes. All Pantheon heads start with 1500 Faith to distribute to their deity members as well as their city. This can be done after you make the bio or after IC starts.

Go ahead and start submitting your bios. Pantheon heads start with 1500 Faith to spend Remember, your god should not be as powerful as you want them to be. Growth is a thing. Don't forget Faith is used to invest with both Gods and Cities. So unless you want to rule over a bunch of hunter and gatherers with no housing or even language, put some Faith into your city-state.

Personality: He's extremely patient, and bides his time for his plans to come to pass. He is compassionate to those who honor him and instills courage in those who fight for him. His goals are to preserve the honor of the innocent and uphold the glory of heroes and wise men.
Legend: Sarakhahn was born from way before the world began. Every unknown number of millenia or eons that pass, the world ends and starts again. Very few survive the end of the world and continue through for another transition. Sarakhahn has surpassed all other beings by surviving through ten transitions. But in the beginning, he was born as a hatchling to a Dragon Clan that wiped out all other intelligent beings in the world. His Clan ruled the world and were extremely advanced. His father ruled as a tyrant and although Sarakhahn loved his father, in the end, he was forced to kill him before he destroyed the entire Dragon race, after Tyranus (His father's name), destroyed the world's deities. He ruled for thousands of years before the world came to an end, and the next cycle began.

Personality: He's incredibly cunning, insightful, resourceful and perceptive. He was once the Emperor of the world many eons ago, but he began a cleansing purge of those he thought were disloyal or who disagreed with him, and he began to indiscriminately murder whomever looked at him funny, both figuratively and literally. He nearly wiped out all life on his world, including Dragon's life, for purposes of his amusement, and to amass enough power to create a dimension of pure Dictatorship where he could extend his rule from one world to all worlds. Tyranus is no longer evil. He's been in the Bone Worlds for eons, and has changed dramatically, even for someone who's been alive longer than entire planet's can live. These days, he's rigid, efficient, logical, cold and calculating, but kind. Even evil dragons can eventually make it to an extremely good after life under the right circumstances. You never know if he's going to be nice, or if he's going to be a Rule's Dick.
Legend: Tyranus began in the world eons ago. . . eon cycles ago he committed mass genocide against many races in the world until only dragons were left. He almost harvested the souls of all dragons in order to ascend beyond godhood and create an entire dimension where all worlds everywhere would come underneath his Dictatorship.

Personality: Nashuumal is The Dragon High Lord of Serenity (Water). . . Water, in it's state as water, steam and also ice.
He is a kind, compassionate, playful, wise, contemplative and poetic. Nashuumal is associated with diamonds and saphires. He is peaceful, loves to teach lower mortals, learn and think deeply in philosophy. He is forgiving and teaches strength in gentleness.
Legend: Nashuumal was revered as one of the wisest gods in the entire world many Eon Cycles ago. Nashuumal taught peace and serenity, courage in the face of adversity and disciplining the wise, punishing the wicked, and meditation on the good things of life. Beauty, food, simple pleasures, marriage, children, etcetera. Nashuumal was challenged by the God of War, Ha'Re, to a duel. . . Hashuumal refused no matter how many times Ha'Re asked or demanded. Finally Ha'Re attempted to murder Nashuumal, and the Dragon Lord had him imprisoned in a sealed glacier of ice not even the god of War could break out of.
Ha'Re exists as a man imprisoned in a mountain glacier. It is predicted that he will serve Nashuumal in mystical ways until he is finally freed, in which he will ally with Nashuumal for all he has been taught by him.

Entitled Powers: Nashuumal grants refreshment, rest, peace, sleep, dreams, restoration of broken relationships, purification (Both literally and to some extent literally). He also curses evil with lethargy, lack of rest, nightmares, freezing cold, the loss of friendships and the state of isolation. He is forgiving, and if his "victims" turn away from evil deeds, he will enchant with a positive spell. He is also a powerful dragon who breathes burts and clouds of searing steam, and can cause floods.

Personality and Legend: Daggoar/Dakkoar is a strong, mighty, but gentle protector. He is a protective warrior who wishes to strengthen and preserve warriors, protectors and guardians. He, along with Sarukhahn represent fathers, and elderly siblings in the Dragon/Lordagh culture. He is sometimes seen as the god of teachers in martial arts, and teachers of war. He wishes to defend those who cannot defend themselves. He once fought two enemy deities at once. The forgotten gods now only known as Hunger and Pain. Two brothers who were mighty dragons. One had been cursed with a horrifying hunger and had began to eat everyone and all animals that exist. Pain was cursed with horrifying arthritic limbs, that made him insane. . . Daggoar came across a city of Humans that were at war with their neighbors. All that was left was the women, the old men, the children and guards. There was no way they could survive an assault from two mighty cursed dragons. Daggoar killed Hunger and Pain, and bound their souls to Nashuumal as an act of mercy, putting them to a good rest.

Entitled Powers: He is enormously strong and can bestow arms and armors at will, can bless those with talent in metallurgy, or engineering skills for both shelters and the ability to sharpen and work their weapons and armors. Title: High Dragon Lord : The Dragon High Lord Of War
Entitled Powers: He is the Dragon god of War. . . direct confrontation, conquest, warfare, and Fire. He lacks some of the physical strength of Dakkoar, but he makes up for that with sheer aggresion, testosterone, adrenaline and hardened scales, etcetera. His followers may breathe hot flames, develop mighty claws, scales, and develop weapons out of unusual materials with supernaturally given knowledge. The ability to somehow create a sword with animal/human bones stronger than steel, how to make ordinary locks of hair into arrows, daggers/knives, etcetera. While Daggoar can instill someone the ability to create protective arms and armor, Torath can do the same, although his armors are less effective, and his weapons are more effective. Torath can be both a boon and a catastrophe, by instilling someone with courage to fight, or bringing defeat on an enemy's armies.

It's a wonderland for raising crops and pastures.

Nation: Scanvalia
City landscape: It's a land that is just as beautiful as it is confusing. It's heavily wooded area with trees that go up to the clouds and valleys that go down beyond sight. It doesn't have many shrubs or hills it very flat other than the deep valleys. The trees there are hundreds of years old and have a natural beauty to them. People come from all around to see the beautiful forest and the even more beautiful city in the middle which is half suspend in the canopy of the trees going all the way down into the deep dark valleys. It is very easy to get lost in Scanvalia which makes it a natural defence. It is at B7
Personality: Jonathan is very light hearted and not very hardened due to his lack of war. He prefers to be a neutral party in wars and help both sides out of kindness. He is very calm most of the time but is also pretty happy and energetic when he's enjoy his time off.
Legend: Jonathan was born in Scanvalia before it was civilized. Back then all that was there were warring tribes of primal acting humans. Jonathan was born to average human parents who raised him to be like anyone else. But he wasn't like everyone else. He wasn't good at the hunt and preferred to play with animals and plants rather kill them. One fateful day he was outside playing with the animals when a member of a warring tribe impaired him with a spear which would have killed him. If it hadn't been for the anomaly. Rather than die Jonathan was given life from a higher entity to have ever existed on this plane of existence and was given the power of nature. After getting up from the ground Jonathan could hear voices below him. It was the grass and the trees spoke to him. Suddenly animal growls and snarls were words and sentences he could now communicate with animals and plants. He then used his new powers that he gained to bring about the entire land that would be Scanvalia under his compassionate rule. Now with no more wars between the tribes they began to prosper together in the trees and deep in valleys. Now the boy once known as Jonathan was now still known as Jonathan.

Landscape: The land of Arelia lays in a valley rife with natural resources. To the east is a lush forest, to the west a mountain, to the north a lake and to the south fertile lands. It is the ideal place to start building a shining city.
Personality: I honestly don't know yet, give me time on this one

Title: God of Life, Death, and Knowledge
Entitled Powers: Maraketh can create Artificial Life (Golems) to do his bidding, and can also imbue those golems with Artificial Souls (or if there's reason, real souls from the recently deceased.) Artificial Souls can give the Golems a personality of their own, instead of just being mindless cattle, but he can only hold so many at a time.

City Landscape: The City is based off the Dominions of Petrye. It is beautiful, yet deadly, with vines of toxic plants growing about, crumbling remains of destroyed buildings surrounding the well maintained intercity. The city looks as if it were ruins reclaimed, much like the goddess retaking her place among the dead.
Personality: Stern and cruel, the empress of the dead holds macabre cruelty and violence at her disposal, but rarely has use for them. On the contrary, the death goddess is very amicable and friendly. A fair yet stern ruler, she values the loyalty of her subjects, and will not hesitate to destroy those who disobey her. In battle, she fights with untold savagery and violence, said to leave the battle field spattered with the viscera of both her allies and enemies.
Legend: According to the Legends, Petrye was born from a god and goddess, She was killed by her father, and was reborn as a god once again in death. She found a place with no rulers, and with no one to stand in her way. Using her superior powers as a goddess, Petrye subjugated the dead, and used them to attack the kingdom of the old gods. The mountains were stormed with Zombies, Ghosts, Demons, revenants and other undead beasts. Petrye slew her father and drank his blood, declaring herself the new queen. Since then, her undead minions have served as slaves to the common people, much like forest spirits. She also has complete authority over fellow deities, though she rarely has to force them to do anything.

Personality: Never Speaks, never makes a sound other than crude groans and grunts.
Legend: The Queen of the Dead thought it not only good to simply kill her father, but to make him into her personal slave for the rest of eternity. Besetno has no feelings, not desire, he is the permanent Grim Reaper, the one to bring the wicked dead to Petrye so that she may torture them. However, Besetno is also the guardian of dead children, giving them protection as they come to see the queen of the dead.
Title: The Imperial Hound
Entitled Powers: Superior Strength, near invunerablility, permanently tied to Petrye.
Misc: Carries around a giant gutting knife and hook

Name: Lada
Pantheon: Sipenye
Pantheon Head: Petrye
Nation: Djessok
Personality: Lada is the goddess of the healing fire. She is sweet to all, and only wants to make all those around her happy. She is the antithesis of Petrye in her domain, and takes a less sinister, but not less friendly vibe as her lover.
Legend: Lada was originally simply a fire maiden for the gods, abducted as a girl and raised only to tend to the flames. She had learned of Petrye from the spirits of the fire, and talked to the exiled deity, becoming close to her. She was the one who gave Petrye the sacred tools to exit the underworld, and was the one who let the mountain gates open so that Petrye could take over the kingdom.
Title: The Fire Maiden
Entitled Powers: Pyrokenisis, Healing Powers, Tool Making
Gained Powers: Metalokenisis, The Sacred Tools will become hers.
Misc: Clad head to toe in thick clothing like that of a blacksmith or welder. Her body is covered in padding, and her face always obscured by a metal helmet, But those who have seen her say she is far more beautiful than the crude garments let on.

Name: Trathan
Pantheon: Sipenye
Pantheon Head: Petrye
Nation: Djessok
Personality: Violent and Warlike, full of agression and fury at all times.
Legend: Trathan is the Guardsman of the Sipanye, he is clad in only vines and vegitation, showing his dominion over plants. He stands at attention, holding a spear of hardened oak and tipped in arsenic blended copper. He is said to not interfear with the actions of other gods. He did not fight Petrye at her conquest, as Lada had let her in.
Title: The Guardsman; The Savage Greenman
Entitled Powers: IControl of Plants, Inspiration of Fear, War Cry, Superior Endurance.
Misc: Only Speaks when Spoken to

Name: Pos
Pantheon: Sipenye
Pantheon Head: Petrye
Nation: Djessok
Personality: Very emotional and full of ideas.
Legend: Pos is the emotion of the people. Pos is neither male nor female, yet has traits of both. Pos uses this to get a full range of inspiration and let the people know how the emotions work. Some say Pos was born of emotion and inspiration itself. The deity cares to disagree, but does indeed love a good story.
Entitled Powers: Inspire creativtiy, cause great emotion, skill in music and writting.

I added pictures of each of Maraketh's Artificial Souls (keep in mind these are pictures of their soul forms, and since their bodies will be made of earth and stone some of the time, they don't always look the same, especially Behemoth. They all have their own wooden bodies that Maraketh made, but they don't always have those.)
