Welcome to Feudal Japan! Prepare for a Adventure!

Long ago in the feudal era, where demons prey'd on the weak of heart and spirits were plentiful, and samurai protected their lords, was the Emperor Akihiro. A man with great fortune and power who rose to glory at a sudden rate in his younger warrior years. Twenty years ago, the lords of the land fought a great battle, leading to the assassination of the current emperor and his entire family. Emperor Akihiro fought against the other lords and brought peace in Japan once more. However, his rise to power was secretly not by his own means. A wicked demon came to the Battle of Swords, a battle that had almost finished off Akihiro's army and offered a deal.

"I will grant you power and fortune for twenty years, however on this very day your kin shall befall a curse. You must bring the cursed kin to Mount Fuji on the night of the full red moon or chaos shall rain upon your lands. Be forewarned, only those of the same gender may accompany them during the offering."

After twenty years of peace, the Emperor found the demon had kept his bargain and placed a curse on his beloved only daughter. Distraught, he organized a plan to get his daughter safely to Mount Fuji. He called over all across Japan, announcing for any Kunoichi, Female Samurai, or any other talented women warrior. Posters were placed in every city, every lords palace, of the event that was to occur.

Notice
Experienced women warriors wanted.
Task in the protection of a royal member.
Death is possible. Danger of demons, bandits, and monsters.
Rewards are great.
Meet at the courtyard of the Royal Palace for more information.

These warriors will face the dangers of demons, bandits, and other mythical creatures that plague Japan. Will they survive? Will they complete their task or fail? Or even find forbidden love?

Rules

1. Follow RPG site rules.
2. No god modding, power playing, etc
3. Your characters do not need to be experienced. Don't be afraid to be a rookie or a thief needing money.
4. Romance is expected, but keep if PG-13. Fade to black during more sexual events if it comes to it.
5. Sorry boys, but only female characters. Male Npc's are free to control however so it's perfectly fine to bring them in for interacting for a event.
6. Characters can be human, half-demons, or a spirit. No full demons or gods though. Well maybe demigods.
7. Since this is feudal, no technology. No guns, phones won't work blah blah.
8. Wait for at least two other people to post before posting.
9. Be respectful
10. Have your character have weakness's as well as strengths. Not everyone is a badass all the time.
11. Have fun.
12. If there is no reply within a week your character is assumed dead. If you withdraw interest then your character shall be subjected to my control and will die.

Japan Social Class Pyramid

At the top of the social of the social pyramid was the Emperor. The Emperor had little power but he was above the Shoguns. The Shoguns were powerful military leaders. They basically controlled the government and had the most power while the Emperor was just a figurehead. The Daimyo followed the Shoguns. They were powerful Japanese landowners to whom the Samurai had sworn to serve and protect. Under the Daimyo were the Samurai. The Samurai were soldiers. They were like knights because of their views on honor and their codes of chivalry. The Ronin were Samurai that their own misdeeds, losses in battle, or the untimely death of their Daimyo had caused them to lose their noble sponsorship. The peasants were the people who farmed and tended the land and they were the majority of the Japanese people. Underneath the Peasants were the Artisans. These were the people who could take materials and craft them into different objects for example armor smiths and sword smiths could turn steel into fine weapons and armor. At the bottom of the social class pyramid were the Merchants. These were the people who sold objects made by Artisans and Peasants to make a living, They are at the bottom because they sell objects that other people had to make.

Example Classes

Kunoichi- Female ninja noun, a member of a feudal Japanese society of mercenary agents, highly trained in martial arts and stealth (ninjutsu) who were hired for covert purposes ranging from espionage to sabotage and assassination.

Samurai- Powerful members of a military caste serving under a lord. Very honor bound. Skilled with swords, naginata, and other weapons.

Ronin- Samurai who have lost their lord or havr been cast out. Mostly wanderers.

Priestess- A holy individual who knows incantations and chants to word of evil spirits and demons.

Demon Slayer- A special fighter class that specifically fights demons.

Half-Demon- Those born by a human and demon parents. Weaker then demons but slightly stronger and faster than humans. But they turn human under the new moon and are completely vulnerable. They are despised by Humans, Demons, and Spirits.

Spirit- Creatures of nature, they are not powerful but they are magical. There are many types of spirits, ones who guard nature are usually the most powerful. Spirits are also those who have died yet their soul remains in the living. Spirits have healing magic and elemental magic depending on the type of spirit. They also can be corrupted into evil spirits or demons if they do bad deeds which causes them to be damned by the Gods. They also have a powerful ability to save a life from death, but it costs their own spirit life.

Personality: Mizuki is a adventerous woman who has a innocent curiousity to just about everything. Shes a bit playful, but also innocently affectionate. Not afraid to give out hugs. Usually honest, she doesnt hold back her words and doesnt realize they could hurt someone's feelings. Since being locked away from the outside world for most of her life, Mizuki holds little knowledge of it. Naive and gullible, she's quite trusting and will believe almost anything someone says. Although she enjoys practicing the way of the sword, she doesn't really enjoy killing. She is kind hearted and caring but she can also be very stubborn, and will do what she wants to do. Even if its reckless and means she ventures off by herself.
History: Mizuki was born on the day her father won the war and became the emperor to her one of his many wives. He was shocked when she was born with striking white hair and golden eyes. At first, he was furious, thinking that his wife had slept with another man but then recalled the demon. Fearing this was the curse, he hid away his daughter from the people, making sure to hide her because he believed she would be accused as a demon. The emperor feared the people would revolt at the thought that his line was that of demons. He decided to name her after the moon for her white silver hair. During her youth, she grew up wondering what was beyond the palace walls. Quite a few times, she snuck away though her fathers loyal servants would bring her back. Preventing her getting anywhere near the gates. Her father taught her the way of the sword, thinking that she may need to defend herself due to her looks. To her though, it was just one of the most fun activities. On the day of her 20th birthday, she panicked when she awoke to a pair of fluffy canine pointy ears and a long fluffy tail. Going to her father, she showed him what happened, and to the Emperor's dismay.. he realized that it was the sign of the curse the demon had bargained. He feared that his daughter would turn into a full fledge demon, and would destroy all of Japan if he did not hold up his side of the bargain. Defeated, he told his daughter that in order to fix this, she would have to go to Mount Fuji. But she was not to show anyone her looks, warning her of the possible dangers. Mizuki agreed, feeling both excited and nervous about actually leaving the palace walls.
Strengths:
1)Half Demon super Strength and super Speed,

ented swordswoman. Able to use it with ease.
3)Has a heightened sense of smell and hearing.
Weakness:
Mental
1)Stubborn and Pride, they often lead Mizuki going off on her own and just getting herself in bad situations.
2)Has a hard time fighting actual combat. She doesnt like it and will usually either not fight at all or even stop others from doing it.

Physical
1)Although she is a half demon, her body is fragile of a regular human. Easily killable by demons or other means.
2)Low stamina. She gets tired easily, and will suddenly pass out if she uses too much energy.
3)Her heightened sense of smell and hearing is useful, but it also causes problems. Too strong of smells or too loud noises will cause massive headache's, dizziness, and even fainting.

Dislikes: Loud noises, strong smells, fields of strong smelling flowers, cruel people, stubborn people,

Try to keep it one or the other. They both go after demons, but Priestess's are more magical while Demon Slayees are physical and hack and slash. Both seems to be too mich xD

Ohh, I see now. That's fine. I will stick with priestess then, I wasn't sure if the priestess' in this would be magical so I didn't want her to only stand around doing nothing. Thanks for the clarification :3

They are able to use chants and incantations to ward of evil spirits and demons. ^^ may have a purifying weapon as well like a bow and arrow
