Custom tabs

"kestrel" said For the new site, Mahz has announced he wanted to work with IC and OOC tabs in a single thread. While these two are a given, I was wondering if there would be a future where users could add and customise additional tabs. That way people could organise their own RP's better. This can be as simple as a GM creating a character sheet tab or a dice roll tab, or more complicated such as the option to use IC-location tabs, where instead of one IC people choose to post in Dwarven Stronghold IC or Orc Graveyard IC. There wouldn't be any need for bells and whistles or gateway shenanigans that force you to use it. Just add tab, name it, maybe drag it's position between the others and you'd be done.

Though of course, allowing users to edit their tabs through html/css would be a cool addition, albeit one with a slight risk of geocity-syndrome. We might even see users creating templates for tabs for others to use, which I think would be fantastic. Also access to html would allow me to make tables which would be awesome. A distant future plan, perhaps, but fantastic for personalising RP's or improving usability.

I like this feature. It's an open-ended tool. Ideally, roleplays would be self-contained ecosystems like little pools of subforum recursion.

I haven't much pondered what that could actually look like, but arbitrary tabs are a good start.

If we'd have the ability to title the extra tabs, the CS wouldn't even be necessary. We could just title the third tab CS. :]

Ah, well if it happens, you have my great thanks! Having an organized, easy to reference tab full of character sheets will do wonders.
