Tales of Vazeroth

Races: The Graylanders, Imperial Elves, Imperial Humans, Common Elves, Common Humans, Dwarves, Ritlanders, Savages.

Backstory: Millions of years ago, the Ancients descended from the heavens. The three Ancients were the patrons of the three original races: Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Through their ancient magic, they created the first life in the form of these Races. Over the course of the generations, the races explored, moved, interbred and developed their place in the world of Vazeroth. The Humans took the northernmost continent, Andrios. The elves took the southernmost continent, Seremial. The Dwarves travelled to the mountainous continent of Durandorok. The Elves and the Humans formed an alliance, known as the Empire, through which came the birth of the Half-Elves, who, in the beginning were shunned. Unwanted, these Half-Elves sailed to the east and found an Island which they called Ritland. These new Ritlanders flourished on this island, developing a feudal system and basing their culture heavily on Honor and Honesty. These people are now heavily respected throughout the entire realm and have taken it upon themselves to keep the peace and uphold the “Honorable Law of Vazeroth.” However, there is one group of people with whom the Ritlanders have always quarreled, The Men of the Graylands. Around the same time as the Half-Elven exodus, a group of men who preferred the simpler things, such as the sword, coin, and drink, to the ways of politics, left Andrios, sailing to an island which, at the time, seemed perfect. It flourished with life. However, the island was home to 6 volcanoes, which all erupted a thousand years after the men arrived. The land was covered in ash. It killed most of the plant and wildlife. Only the strongest and toughest survived. The men who survived formed a society of warriors, having to fight to survive in this cold, harsh land. In order to make their money and survive, these hard men sold their army to the highest bidder. This caused the Ritlanders, whose society was based on honor, to distrust the Graylanders, who made a living by selling their swords. Another group of men exist, who preferred the simple ways of the times of The Ancients. To everyone else, they are savages. A nomadic people with a hunter-gatherer society. Their weapons are made of stone and simple, brittle iron. Their clothes, furs. They’re barely intelligent enough to speak. With not much known of them, most people have a distaste for them.
However, in a world with many different peoples, there arise many conflicts. The Humans and the Elves both have a major trading city on opposite sides of the Straits of Theros, causing tension between the two races of the Empire, a Civil War having just ended between the two. The Graylanders and the Ritlanders fight many battles, both on sea and on land. The savages have begun crossing the border and settling in Imperial lands, causing unease among the citizens. With the rise of these conflicts comes the need for people to settle them. That is where our story begins.

Racial Descriptions:
Graylanders: Hardy and tough people from the ashen wastes of the Graylands. They are some of the most naturally talented warriors in Vazeroth, being raised in a society of sellswords. Graylanders are generally taller than most other races, reaching heights of 7 feet.
Ritlanders: A graceful blend of both men and elves, taking the best qualities of both races. They value honor and honesty above all else. They act as the peacekeepers of Vazeroth, being respected by all races, except for the Graylanders.
Imperial Elves: A cosmopolitan and mercantilist society, they make up half the empire. They prefer the graces of politics but also breed smart tacticians and brilliant strategists.
Imperial Humans: The other half of the cosmopolitan empire, they prefer the thriving world of money, but through this, they breed great scouts, and thieves.
Common Elves: Regular elven citizens, they don’t live the same glamourous lifestyle as their Imperial cousins. Having to survive on crafts and farming, they make good Rangers and Foresters. They make up the bulk of the Elven Imperial Army.
Common Humans: Small time merchants and sailors, the Common Humans make fine footsoldiers and mercenaries.
Dwarves: Great smiths and stout warriors, the dwarves live in seclusion in their mountains keeps and underground forges so as to hoard their great treasures for themselves.
Savages: the savages are a simple, nomadic people, however, their lands are running barren, causing them to migrate into Imperial lands.

Nice explanation, but would it kill you to indent or at least break up the wall of text with an occasional space?

And I'll be an imperial human.
