This thread is a place to discuss Thrive, Tribal Survival, Fatal Souls etc. Come up with strategies, form teams, coordinate between games, all that stuff.
THRIVE by DeadBeatWalking
The Grintep have become intelligent, sentient beings, who now call themselves "Grinti".
Unlike Grintep, Grinti are omnivorous, squawk instead of click, and are capable of forming identities.
The Grinti can no longer spit acid, though their salivations now pacify
lesser-minded creatures to make them easier to domesticate.
This, combined with their increased intelligence, has made
their bonus skill Animal Husbandry.
The Rogwog have evolved out of the sky, and now have little more than vestigial wings,
which has been bred out in favor of a fattier frame.
The Chorchim have evolved into the Grintep's favored beast of burden and the source of their ink.
They consume nutrients in soil.
As a result of this, The Chorchim are now used to burrow more
complex tunnels for Grintep colonization, increasing the Grintep population.
In the animal kingdom, several new species have been borne from the thousands of years of
slumber in since-collapsed underground cavities.
The Sent has evolved into The Setra, an amphibious mammal that eats mostly algae and fruit.
The Small insect things have evolved into Kerveg, lightweight insects that travel on bubbles they blow.
They prey on small krill.
The Skrex have evolved into Skrax, which are larger and more vicious. They are carnivores that hunt with sonar.
A new arrival to the ecosystem known as the Folle have emerged,
translucent boneless creatures that hunt with poison spines.
A strange species called Eltreb, a species with a long nose-appendage used for
fishing has evolved from previously foreign mammals.
Lastly, a species of fish known as Zilids have emerged from the more simple lifeforms,
and has recently evolved muscles for propelling.
The Erkotekorr has evolved moreso others, and is now a hive-mind fungal species simply called "Erkot".
The Erkot are not as intelligent as Grintep, though their hive mind and instinctive
drive to create stone shelters has made their numbers increase.
As a result, their bonus skill is Fortification.
They are cannibals, though culturally they enjoy hunting for sport, territory, and blood, which they use as ink.

1. Once each turn you may add an evolution point to a species eg: ‘+1 Korr’
2. Do not forget that when you do this you can request a specific adaption eg: ‘+1 Korr, bigger teeth’
3. You may not use three points in a row on the same species
4. Each time you give a species a point, you also get one yourself
5. At the moment you can use three of your own points to introduce a new species (this may go up)
6. You cannot add points to your own species (hint: this is where teams come in)

• Grinti - After the great meteor strike, the Grinti emerged from the Grintep caves. To survive they became omnivorous, and their communications became more advanced as squawking. Using their mystical saliva and knowledge of animal husbandry they have domesticated both the Rogwog, and the Chorchim. They eat the Rogwog, and use the Chorchim to ride and dig. They are highly artistic due to their sense of personal identity, making murals from Chorchim ink. Their individual intelligence also lets them design tools, weapons and structures. Their large brains have allowed them to use tools and weapons. Their dominance is challenged by the rival Erkot.
• Erkot - In trying to compete with the intelligent Grintep, the fungoid Erkotekorr turned its mind symbiosis into a hive mind. They can use crude weapons and create brutal looking fortifications. As former apex predators hunting is important to their culture, they create tribal symbols with the blood of their kills. They are also cannibalistic, because individuals do not matter before the communist hive mind.
• Chorchim: Created by Asura - A large centipede-like omnivore. It encountered the Grintep as they historically made ink from it, it has since evolved large becoming the Grinti's beast of burden. They use it to build tunnels, so even though it still provides ink it is probably in a more humane way.
• Setra - Evolving from the Sent, the Setra sacrificed speed for an amphibious lifestyle. They are mammals that eat fruit fruit and algae.
• Skrax - Evolved from the parasitic Skrex, the Skrax are serpentine aquatic carnivores. They hunt with sonar.
• Kerveg - An evolution of small insects that preys on krill. The Kerveg blows bubbles to float on, suggesting it is not fully aquatic.
• Folle - The Folle are translucent boneless creatures that hunt with poison spines. They come from outside the ecosystem.
• Eltreb - The bizarre mammalian Eltreb fishes with its long nose. It has long bird-like legs. It is another foreigner to the ecosystem.
• Zilibs - A fish which evolved late on from basic lifeforms, it has developed muscles to move around.
• Rogwog: Created by Keyguyperson - A one-eyed, vestigial winged, blue, muppety looking, plant eater. It eats dead leaves, and roots until it becomes fat enough to be eaten by the Grinti.
• Grass, Algae, Trees etc: - Though seeming mundane, plant-life has conquered both land and sea and its evolution significantly effects the atmosphere. Flight for larger creatures was only made possibly by their development.
• Alien Settlers - At least twice Aliens have settled the planet. The first time a distant carnivore was removed, causing the global Pultha boom. The second group actually colonised the planet, majorly altering the atmosphere with pollution and terraforming. It is not clear if they were the same species.

• Pultha – A small swarming predatory insect, the Pultha have not been seen for sometime and are feared endangered or extinct. They attacked the Grintep and Erko, but their size war put the Pultha at peril.
• Iwog: Created by Gowi - Iwogs are crablike aquatic herbivores which evolved from the Erko. They feed on seaweed and algae. The Grintep largely domesticated them, making them docile and delicious, but then abandoned them. They are feared extinct.
• Roggan: Created by Mae - A creature of unknown origin, the Roggan is best described as Big Bird if he learned to fly and became a flesh hungry psychopath. Roggan have become an undisputed apex predator, capable of taking down fully grown Grintep and young Erkotekorr. The meteor and a failure to adapt may have wiped them out.

Roggan have become an undisputed apex predator, capable of taking down fully grown Grintep and young Erkotekorr. The meteor and a failure to adapt may have wiped them out.
• Grintep - The herbivorous bipedal Grintep diverged from the humble Grint due to the development of legs, becoming arguably the dominant species in the ecosystem. Their large brains allowed them to use tools and weapons. Their weapon did not however made them soft; they could spit poison to defend themselves. Highly sociable creatures, they could communicate by clicking their beaks, and made art from the blood of the Chorchim. They are built a variety of structures including fences, huts and pens for Iwog’s. Resultantly the Iwog had its evolution significantly shaped by the Grintep. Increased predation by Roggan's drove them underground, just in time to survive a meteor strike. When the dust cleared they remerged as the sentient and artistic Grinti.
• Erkotekorr - Was a symbiosis of the crablike Erkotek and Korr fungus, the Erkotekorr was a very large and effective predator. They attracted flies (and perhaps small Pultha) to eat with their sweet sap, hunted Grintep with their one powerful claw, and absorbed moisture from the air. They also became a symbiosis of the mind, to try and outwit the developing Grintep tribe. This did not stop here, as they developed a hive mind and became the Erkot.
• Skrex: Created by Me :) - A serpentine aquatic parasite, it hung out on the Sent's belly drinking blood.
• Sent: Created by Gowi - The Sent were an herbivorous species of fish. They evolved from Grint, though they were not significantly different from them until they developed barbed tails to catch and devour algae. They were incredibly fast and mobile due to their long tails, rudimentary spines and four fins. They signaled their mates by splashing their tails. They were replaced by their mammalian descendents, the Setra.
• Korr - The Korr was a large carnivorous plant like fungus. They used a sweet scent to attract flies, and possibly Pultha, to eat. Unfortunately their sap mostly attracted things that wanted to eat them. One of these predators, the Erkotek, developed a symbiosis with the Korr due to constant exposure. The result was the Erkotekorr
• Lursi - The Lursi was a slow, slug-like ambush predator. It hunted Grints by use of perfect camouflage, and eventually lures. It was driven extinct by rapid Grint evolution and environmental changes.
• Erko - The Erko was a species of omnivorous scavenging insect. They built stone nests for protection until they developed crab like armour. For a short period their growing size made them the apex predator. Their split into the Iwog and Erkotek left the Erko behind.
• Erkotek - Basically a larger, more aggressive breed of Erko. Was short lived as it fused with its prey the Korr; developing into the Erkotekorr.
• Grint - A fast, fish-like herbivore. It developed first sensing antennae, then eyes. It was brightly coloured to attract mates. The development of legs split the species into the Sent and the Grintep. The Sent has since proven to be far faster.

An antlered creature composed of plant matter, it comes from deep in the heart of the forest. Despite looking like a Wendigo with a fungal infection, it has proven peaceable so far. It communicates via leaf rustlings, and has accepted an offering of an orange for seeds and mystical objects.
