'Ello boys! Your not so friendly neighborhood psycho Krieg is here! As I want to get things started ASAP, I'll skip all that boring stuff about who the hell I am and go straight to the juicy part. However, this is the first of a series of threads I will be creating, so I will go on on explaining what the heck is this in this cute hider here (aren't those things amazingly useful?):

Ohh, I see you did give a damn about my post! Good! You're probably wondering what is this and who is this thread for. So let's make sure you get that:

WHAT IS THIS THREAD:
This thread is the regular interest check thread. Here is where you say "I liked your idea and I'm in!". Hopefully, you will be saying it AFTER reading the setting and what to expect of that given RP. Otherwise you might be stuck in a medieval battle while you just wanted to RP as a medieval princess looking for a soldier lover. I kid you not, this exact scenario has happened to me before. Looking on the bright side, she created a nice interaction with her body being used as a shield. Fun times

To avoid this problem, just look at the "What's the plot?" section.

This is also a thread for the ones who want to test out a character before getting into a 1+ year RP commitment. Want to try that undead character? Go ahead! The crippled old lady in a war zone? That's just the place! The mute guy who's also blind and wants to find the love of his life? What the hell is wrong with you?

In the coming RPs we will be looking at about 3 posts a week as the mininum. I don't need a wall of text for every post. Sometimes a simple "I follow the suspect into the dark alley while pulling out my gun" is enough. Specially if you can't afford the time to write a more elaborate post. I might God Mode your character if I have two or three people waiting on you to post. Don't worry, I'll never get you killed. I might put you in a bad situation, but I'll usually make sure you don't make a fatal mistake. Of course, sometimes you're being controlled by things you can't predict. Like your suspect knowing that you are following him, so he leads you into the line of sight of a friendly sniper. In that case, you're gone. No matter if I'm the one postin or not. That may sound harsher than it actually is. Don't worry. I'm a fair GM.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
By joining this RP you can expect a steady flow of posts. The duration of the pseudo one shots shall be of about 2 weeks to a month, with daily posts. The group will usually be of about 2 to 6 people. The genres I'm most comfortable with are medieval/futuristic/dystopian fantasy and realism. The plot will be briefly described in the beggining of every interest check so you know what you're getting into.


WHO IS THIS AIMED FOR:
This one shot series is made with players of the age 16 and above in mind. I say this not because I hate kids or anything like that I do, but I've had a player being forced to leave due to his mother finding out about the RP. I think the kiddo was about 14. She even wrote me a giant PM about how I should go to jail for exposing her little precious baby to unnapropriate topics. It was hillarious, but I can't really afford it to happen. It sucks for everyone involved. Ohh and there is the whole thing about me enjoying to say shit like fuck, cock, asshole, cunt, motherfuckers, etc. And my RPs usually have violence in it and players are more than welcome to make their post as gory as they might like. And you might end up seeing a sex scene here and there. If anything in this last paragraph might offend you, there is an X on the tab you're viewing this. Press it and your torment shall come to an end.

RULES OF THIS PLACE:
I have very few rules:
- Rule Zero always applies.
- Be over 16. Or fool me into thinking you are, idgaf.
- Don't be a dickhead. Telling me dickhead is not a real word is being a dickhead.
- Don't God Mode/Meta Game. You can't control another player's character. You can't know that the elf in the corner is planning to kill you once you turn your back. You do that, you're out.
- Don't have over the top sex scenes. Actually, don't describe sex scenes at all unless you have a plan to do something important during sex, like stealing a Pen Drive or murdering someone. Nobody wants to read about your crooked Centaur's dick entering a young dark elf's anus. You have other RPs for that kind of shit.

TL;DR - If you skipped to this, you're lazy. Whatever. Read the rules directly above. This will have small one shots with the duration between 2 weeks and a month. The posting speed will be discussed with the ones involved, but at least I want 3 posts a week so it can end in it's due period.

It didn't hurt too much, even though my crappy humor might have lead you to loosing a few brain cells. Now that you're done and mentally challenged enough to enjoy the plot, let's get to it!

WHAT'S THE PLOT?

[Low Fantasy] [Medieval] [War]
Two kingdoms have been at war since it's creation. The reasons they fight have been many, always changing over the years. Water resources, land, control over trading rutes. You name it. Since the creations of those two realms 500 years ago, they've fought over everything there was to fight. Right now, the fight is apparently coming to an end. King Hugen, of Whitehorn, has kidnaped King Ulbern, of Dragon's Peak. King Hugen is holiding King Ulbern inside his city, demanding total and unquestionable surrender by the people of Dragon's Peak. The surrender demands the reduction of the city's army to a tenth of it's current size, the reduction of it's walls to 2 and a half meters and a payment of 4 arcs of gold each year. One at each season pass.

King Ulbern, however, is not helpless. He and his High General, Sir Glakos, have been proven to be great leaders and have won many battles against the city of Whitehorn. The question to be answered is: will Sir Glakos be able to lead his army to victory alone? Will King Ulbern survive? Will the city of Dragon's Peak surrender? Which side will you take on this? Those are questions made for you to answer.

Details:

King Hugen

King Hugen is a man who believes in strenght above all else. His army is currently well equiped, with every soldier wearing armor, using steel swords and strong shields. His archers, despite being few, are equiped with long bows capable of reaching incredible distances. His cavalry however is lacking in numbers, as the horses born in his city are too weak to be used in war.

He rules based on his strenght alone. While this inspires respect in the population, he has made plenty of enemies among the nobleman of the city. He plans on buying their loyalty by sharing part of the ransom gold with them. He's a fair King, the well being of his people comes only after the security of the realm. His people are well fed and, in it's majority, healthy.

King Ulber

King Ulber is the wisest King that Dragon's Peak has ever seen. While his troops are not as well armed as King Hugen's, they make up for that by outnumbering him in a 4 for 1 proportion. He has a considerable amount of siege weapons at his disposal.

He is loved in his realm by both the common people and the nobles. In the decade that the realm has been under his rule, life has been exponentially better both for the rich and the poor. Most of the wealth of the city comes from marcantile deals made with other realms. Losing him would mean losing a fair share of wealth, as most of those deals were based on the trust they had on Ulber.

Sir Glakos

Sir Glakos is the High General of Dragon Peak's army, the highest possible rank achievable. He's both a fearsome warrior and a notable strategist. Despite his qualifications, Glakos has never been in charge of a full army. In a usual situation, he'd help King Ulber during the planning of the campaing. After the plans were done, he'd lead small groups into the battle field. He truly hopes to be able to rescue his King, who became his closest friend after those ten years of conflicts.

General Notes

This RP will be set in the cookie cutter medieval world. Swords, bows and arrows and all that. Some primitive siege weapons are avaible. The [Low Fantasy] tag means that there might be some fantasy put into it. Below A Song of Ice and Fire levels of magic. You're pretty sure it's there, but it might not be. There aren't any mages, dragons or shadow babies coming out of a woman's pussy. However you might run into a priest who's famous because every warrior that he ever blessed returned home without being harmed. Or maybe into a lucky charm that a famous gambler swears that can turn any gamble into a win. Or some small shit like that. Sorry to disapoint, but nobody will be shooting fire balls while flying in a griffon this time.

Congratulations, you made through a fucking huge wall of text. You can pat yourself in the back a little bit for doing a week's worth of reading! If you're up for some more, here's some shit you should know before saying that you want to join this RP:

- You're supposed to have enough free time for at least 3 short posts a week. If you can only post when the moon turns blue while the plannets align, I'm sorry to say this won't be for you.

- You'll be able to choose with side you want to roleplay as (Hugen's or Ulber's). The side with most votes win.

- You will decide on the frequency of the posting. Anywhere from twice a day to three times a week are acceptable. You're big kids, you can hopefully figure it out a nice schedule by yourselves.

- I may have to take control over someone's character without any kind of warning. I will avoid to do this at all costs, but if an afk player hinders the progression of the plot too much (e.g. an entire week without posting for no aparent reason), I'll do so for the sake of the others.

- I truly hope you enjoy the RP and will do everything in my power to grant that this happens.

- I plan on a 2 to 6 people group. If I reach max capacity on this one, don't worry. I'll be coming with short stuff like this every other month. And there will be a link at the end of the this post to the next thread of this type.

@KRIEEEG - Dice rolly enough that we can't just repeatedly write our character sailing through every situation untarnished. So most major actions, I'd say. And any general combat - each enemy is one roll?

As for the dice, I think it'd be cool just to have it be mildly dice rolley. I mean, I'd much prefer if it's only there so our characters won't be able to pull off any nonsensical Legolas bullshit 24/7, but not to the point where we have to roll for every single action we take à la D&D.

But regardless of how dice rolley you want this RP to be, you can count me in.
