I've been looking around for information about this, and haven't found a guide involving it or gotten an answer, though to be fair I'm multitasking so I might've missed something, but I figured I'd just post this up and get the answer.

All of my experience with forums is really on InvisionFree boards, and the coding that I used there in order to alter things like font style, font size, etc, don't seem to work anywhere I've tried here so far. I've seen people changing things like that in their bio profiles, signatures, posts, and even their title underneath their username, yet there's nothing for it listed with the rest of the tools when making a post, so I'm wondering what the code actually is for this sort of thing.

I like to copy and paste special characters straight off other pages (if I get the urge to use special characters at all). They will often register here. Codes like [b] and [sup] (by no means a complete list) accomplish the rest.

In some cases with sigs/posts they will make the fancy content in another program/on another site and turn that into an image, but I suspect that isn't what you are getting at.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/143069-symb.. is a decent reference section.

Various functions work differently and are unfamiliar/missing/extra because this forum wasn't based off an existing engine, but built up almost exclusively by Mahz (with some additions from github suggestions).

Cheers. This will work as a good start, at least. I had no idea that directly copying/pasting font from another site over to this site would actually work as code (if that's what you're saying, since that whole idea sounds a bit weird and definitely not something I'm familiar with). I've basically worked out the uses of all of the options in the tool bar when posting, like I said, so things like [b] and adding in a link won't be any problem for me. I just wanted to make some of my information less bland.

Edit: Actually, that really only helped with changing the way my title looks, because, so far, copying/pasting text has only worked by copying it from somewhere on this site (that topic you sent me, specifically), and only some elements of it have worked, so I haven't been able to do too much with it yet.

Most of what I want to do involves being able to change the size of text or use a different font type. I ran an experiment where I tried copying my signature from another site over to here and it didn't work, nor did trying to copy it over from a WordPad. Transferring text from this site over to the WordPad worked, but only if it had code in it to become that way, such as font colour being changed. My knowledge with coding is very limited. If I planned on putting images I created up, I'd be able to do that, but right now I was more thinking something along the lines of having altered text size/font style for my signature so it doesn't end up looking uncomfortable to me. I'd likely try something more elaborate with my bio profile down the line.

Oh, nice. Totally missed that with all the multitasking I've been doing. This is definitely something I would've run into eventually, when I actually gave this whole site a proper look, but knowing that's there right now is a big help. Cheers.

Edit: It would appear as though there isn't a specific way to directly change font style or size using the code immediately available on the site, but that information will be useful for other things.
