I figured I might as well put up a list of character sheets I've created on this site. Due to them being for this site, you should assume that I won't be putting up the characters from my own story project ('Guardian Ascension'), into this thread -- this is exclusively for characters I decide to introduce into one of the role-plays on RPGuild, whether I ever actually took part in the IC or not. The noteworthy exception are the characters from 'Grim Reaper's Gambit'.
Unless specified otherwise the character sheets are using the format and templates they were accepted with in their respective role-plays, but eventually I might upgrade them and add more of my own details since I could easily see myself migrating characters from one role-play to another. I'll probably also alter them eventually to be more appropriate to whatever setting I'd imagine them being native to, rather than basing the sheets and information off of the setting of whatever role-play they were accepted into.
Some of the characters will likely also be connected, since I suspect I'll add sheets for related characters; whether these related characters were ever accepted into a role-play (or even revealed, for that matter) or not. This is mostly due to my penchant for extensive detail and complexity, meaning I seldom make a character sheet without building an entire world around them. Subsequently, I could easily imagine myself running a role-play centred around each of these characters and their concepts.
Name: Emmanuel Lovecraft Title/Nickname: Ernst Leblanc (alias), Traitor of the Arcane Tower (title) Age: 29 Gender: Male Race: Human Profession: Scholar Trope/Archetype:Wizard Classic
Appearance: 171cm / 5'7"
Equipment:
The Apocrypha Grimoire - A tome from the Arcane Tower rumoured to hold the secrets of the gods. Before he was banished from the tower, he stole it and used its powers to survive execution. The elders of the Arcane Tower want to get it back, and have agents pursuing him for it. While he has used part of its content to increase his own magical abilities and survive a curse that should have destroyed his soul, a portion of its content still remains a mystery to him.
Standard Staff - Due to being an outcast of the Arcane Tower, he was never given a proper magic staff since he never graduated. As a result of this, he had to use his innate wisdom and resolve to compensate and be able to rival other mages in a casting duel.
Wizard Attire - Conventional robe and pointed hat garments commonly associated with users of the magic arts. Note that despite the above picture having the hat worn over his back, he often wears it on his head like a conventional wizard.
Background: Adopted into the Arcane Tower, the place where many of the world's greatest court wizards hail from and considered a bastion of wisdom and sacred ground where only the chosen may tread, he possessed a prodigy-like understanding of the magical arts ever since he was a youth, and under the tutelage of his mentor developed these talents until his teacher was killed during a mysterious conspiracy within the Arcane Tower related to an ancient tome. Over the following years, he brought unconventional ideas about the magic arts and how one could develop them, but was never taken seriously due to his age and was eventually banished from ever becoming a true wizard. During this time, he stole the ancient tome after he discovered part of the conspiracy within the Arcane Tower, and the elders placed a curse on him that he only survived because of the magical powers within the tome. Escaping from the elders, he has been on the run ever since.
Pros:
Wisdom beyond his years, granting him powers rivalling those of the highest ranked magic wielders. His arcane insight and generally vast intelligence mean that, while physically limited (he is more encumbered as opposed to being weak), he is usually able to outwit and adapt to his opponents and even handle a direct confrontation so long as he avoids taking damage. These mental capabilities also mean he is able to read the people and events around him with piercing accuracy, much of the world being an open book to him. They also mean he possesses highly advanced learning for anything that draws his obsession, and he can understand deeply complex and abstract concepts almost intuitively.
Extensive knowledge and proficiency in dealing with magical, undead, demonic, divine, and extra-dimensional entities.
Conviction and devotion to his goals and principles, with a will and resolve that are virtually unbending. Easily the type of person whose endurance and fortitude would result in him dying before he willingly stayed down in a fight, and he's generally quite fearless. The opinions of others seldom impact him, and his resilience is matched by very few.
Cons:
The elders of the Arcane Tower placed a curse on him that sealed much of his powers. He is currently unable to use his more powerful incantations, such as summoning magic, without penalties, whereas normally he could use them freely.
He suffers from poor health, so without his magic making him superhuman he would not have very long to live. He needs to use some of his magic at all times to remain healthy, otherwise his sickness would become worse.
Possesses notoriously bad luck.
Other:
He frequently takes on the appearance of a much older wizard (known as 'Ernst Leblanc') whenever he needs to remain incognito (since he is on the run from a powerful organization) or if he needs to make sure that his opinion is taken seriously (he is incredibly used to establishments not respecting his wisdom merely based on his age and the fact that he never officially graduated as a wizard).
The curse placed on him by the elders is something he can resist against with his will, but it still sealed much of his power when it failed to destroy his soul. His ability to resist against it is the only reason he has any magic at all now, but he is currently searching for a way to break the seal completely.
Note: This character sheet was created for a very simplistic role-play, and in the end I decided to pull out of that role-play - before any IC ever took place - because I came up with a lot of depth that wouldn't have worked out there; however, everything contained in this sheet was accepted by the GM, so I'm mostly referring to developments that came later on. I'll most likely edit this profile eventually to include a lot of the other ideas I had in mind, but for now it remains in the state it was left in at that role-play. A lot of information about the character's history and details were kept unrevealed when the profile was accepted, since we had a lot of freedom with lore.
Name: Abel Rosicrucian Age: 23 Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Holy Knight Occupation: Undead Hunter, Sword for Hire, Member of the Rosicrucian Priory Alignment: Neutral Good (he is more naturally aligned to Chaotic Good, but his dedication to his order balances this) Deity/Religion: N/A (the Rosicrucian Priory is a small and independent order not affiliated with any specific religion or deity; they believe in one transcendental 'God' which is intentionally unnamed and only given a few specifications, serving as the embodiment of their ideals and beliefs but otherwise remaining ambiguous to prevent clashes over dogma from getting in the way of their philosophy and righteous mission)
One-handed Sword - Shorter than a conventional two-handed longsword while also being longer than a one-handed shortsword, this trademark cruciform-shaped sword wielded by Abel is a fairly modest yet versatile weapon which has served him well on his travelling.
Sheath Shield - A personalized shield that was made on request by Abel during his start as a hunter of the forces of evil; custom designed to have a sheath for his trademark sword connected on the back. Though made with ease of use in mind when considering the weight, the iron exterior of the front is nevertheless quite durable.
Light Gear - He wears fairly lightweight gear underneath his garb; never having received conventional knight armour or anything similar, and personally preferring speed and healing/support magic over brute physical defensive force.
Fortify Endurance - Abel's primary magic spell, and the one he has spent the most time investing in. Preferring to use lightweight gear in order to allow him swift movement in battle against the dark forces resulted in his physical defence being weaker than a traditional warrior, so he frequently casts this spell in order to even the playing field. He wanted to learn a more elaborate form of magic that would allow him to cast magic barriers, but he has yet to find a tome on the matter or receive proper tutelage on it.
Fortify Speed - A spell that Abel uses when facing against inhuman foes in order to keep up with their potentially superhuman speed. He is still learning this spell just like all of his other magic, so he is not able to push it to an extreme.
Fortify Fatigue - While his resolve is beyond that of a person of weak personal principles, he is well aware that humans suffer from fatigue and their body can surrender long before their mind will. In order to compensate for this, he has taught himself this spell in order to boost his stamina in times of dire need.
Heal Minor Wounds - In order to remove an over reliance on healing potions, during the early part of his tutelage in the basics of magic he chose to teach himself the art of healing magic. Since he was never given a chance to complete his formal study, he is currently limited to healing minor wounds; mostly injuries that would not be absolutely fatal.
Turn Undead - Though unlikely to serve any use against a human opponent, Abel has become proficient at the use of basic holy magic due to his work as a hunter of unholy forces. While his potential in the arts was noted to be extraordinary, he has never received sufficient training due to having to leave before his tutelage could really begin. Nevertheless, while he has yet to learn how to banish and destroy evil or unholy enemies through magic he is capable of using this spell to demoralize the will of the undead and negate their bloodlust.
Items:
Holy Water Vials - Since he has yet to learn higher level holy magic, Abel often uses vials of this nature in order to bless his sword; dripping the liquid onto the blade in order to allow it to set the forces of evil ablaze and purge them.
Magic Potions - Carried with him at all times when he has the opportunity to afford them; he uses these potions to replenish mana.
Other: Abel actually has very little experience fighting to the death against his fellow man; his work has primarily revolved around hunting unholy forces, particularly the undead. While he has served as a bodyguard a few times for travelling merchants or the like, he has never actually killed a man before and usually uses his fighting prowess to force a surrender. He is not entirely without knowledge of how to kill nor is he at all inept in combat, but he has never killed a human personally and would rather avoid it. Nevertheless, he is a fearless and adaptive combatant who is capable of an unorthodox and exotic style of fighting, also holding wisdom beyond his years and exceptional resilience.
Related NPCs:
Name: Evelyn Wallace Age: 21 Gender: Female Race: Human Class: N/A Occupation: Bakery Shopkeeper Alignment: Neutral Good Deity/Religion: N/A (she believes in the philosophy of the Rosicrucian Priory now that she is older enough to make her own decisions in terms of faith, but in her younger years she was raised affiliated with the local religion of her town)
Appearance: Height: 163cm / 5'4" Weight: Refuses to reveal Skin Colour: White Eye Colour: Blue Hair Colour: Golden Blonde
History (Synopsis): The daughter of the owner of the bakery run in the town closest to the monastery of the Rosicrucian Priory, the order being within a short distance of its outskirts. She is engaged to Abel, and believes in the philosophy of the order -- the founder actually being something like a second father to her now. When Abel went off on his pilgrimage, she left her pendant in his care and now devotedly awaits his return home.
Other: This character profile was written in collaboration with @Ailyn Evensen. No 'Class' was ever selected for her as she was not intended to take a role in combat, although she could have proficiency in healing magic of some kind. There was a possibility of having her be a Bard in training, but I am not listing it for now.
Name: Auguste Rosicrucian Age: Unknown Gender: Male Race: Human (?) Class: Holy Grandmaster Occupation: Founder & Grandmaster of the Rosicrucian Priory Alignment: Neutral Good Deity/Religion: N/A (the Rosicrucian Priory is a small and independent order not affiliated with any specific religion or deity; they believe in one transcendental 'God' which is intentionally unnamed and only given a few specifications, serving as the embodiment of their ideals and beliefs but otherwise remaining ambiguous to prevent clashes over dogma from getting in the way of their philosophy and righteous mission)
Appearance: Height: 183cm / 6'0" Weight: 72kg / 160lbs Skin Colour: White Eye Colour: Amber Hair Colour: Brown
History (Synopsis): The founder and grand master of the Rosicrucian Priory, a small order situated in a monastery that focuses on protecting humanity from the forces of evil. He is deeply shrouded in mystery -- even his status as a human being is completely unknown as he has never aged in all the generations since founding the order. Recognized as an unparalleled master of the battle arts, his genius combat skills are considered more arcane in nature than those of a warrior. The trademark 'sword' he wields is able to morph into any weapon at will and he is seemingly a master of every form it takes, and he possesses immense magical powers to back those skills up. The adopted father of Abel, he was on a pilgrimage to another land with him when a tragic incident involving a trap set by those of the darkness ended up taking his life.
Other: His trademark 'sword' is currently in Abel's possession, but since the weapon does not acknowledge him as its true master he is unable to wield it.
Note: This character sheet was created for a role-play duel that prioritizes the idea of characters being at 'Level 1', so the current profile reflects a character that is considerably weaker than he would be if I built a setting or role-play around him. D&D was also emphasized (though I used The Elder Scrolls as the basis for his magic), rather than a setting I'd normally work with or be interested in. With this in mind, you can assume this character will be noticeably more powerful and have a lot of alterations to his template and concepts if I edit this profile to reflect a more natural setting for him, though all of the information about his backstory and order would remain the same -- he would still fight against unholy forces too. Several details about this character's past and nature were also kept ambiguous and unrevealed as they served no purpose to the duel and would only spoil things if I used him elsewhere. I've decided to include some of the NPCs tied to this character in his post for the time being, also avoiding spoilers as much as possible.
Despite being known under the class of 'Weapon Specialist', in Firion's own world he was also able to wield magic. Unlike the other incarnations of Firion to have appeared in previous cycles, this version retains that ability beyond just the use of the three primary elemental types of magic (Fire, Blizzard, Thunder) which are wielded using his elemental wand weapons, now learning magic without the aid of these weapons just as he could outside of the cycles. Granted, he has not yet learned - or recalled rather, since coming to this cycle - all of his intended spells, and still uses the wands for spells he wants to converse power with, but he plans use many forms of magic in order to use them to further build upon his 'skilled at all, master of none' status and hopefully optimize himself into something more than he is. His resolve and passion aids the process of developing his talents in master faster, allowing for exceptional growth with only short amounts of experience. He comes from a world where adaptive capabilities allowed one to learn virtually any ability, and this has only become more true for him as time went on. Certain abilities that were dependant on 'EX Mode' in previous incarnations no longer need him to be within it, as he possesses a new higher state of power.
{Magic}
Though healing magic had always been Maria's favourite, Firion has been developing the use of basic healing magic and has already learned spells such as Esuna (removes negative status effects). He is particularly interested in learning the more advanced and complex types of support/status magic, and through hard work he has remarkably already managed to learn Dispel (removes support magic from the target) and Reflect (deflects spells back at the opponent). These may not be the only magic spells immediately at his disposal, or the only ones he plans on learning. Before entering the present cycle, Firion also knew higher magic - including the fabled Ultima spell - but has since forgotten it upon awakening here.
{Blood Weapons}
While the incarnations of Firion in previous cycles required he be in 'EX Mode' in order to access these versions of his weapons, this incarnation is able to activate them naturally; however, doing so takes a toll on him -- unless he finds appropriate weapons to give him these effects, the process of enchanting them in this way is magical in nature and therefore costs magic points like other spells. This power is an embodiment of the passionate hot-blooded spirit of a young man who will sacrifice his very life in order to reach his dreams. This is just one of the abilities that is no longer dependant on 'EX Mode'.
EX Mode:
Dreams of Fynn
"You could never erase our hopes for the future!" Firion
Even though his general appearance remains identical, when he enters 'EX Mode' Firion's colour scheme changes significantly in terms of his clothing. His weapons seemingly come to life, able to levitate and be controlled by the young man's will -- while he is able to exert magic to do this particular ability naturally, in 'EX Mode' this becomes a constant ability without the need to use any energy or effort at all. Wild rose petals now follow both him and his weapons everywhere during this state, and he is able to cause the weapons them to teleport at will - alongside being able to teleport himself to any of their locations - as well as gaining the ability to be duplicated -- subsequently increasing the number of weapons he can wield until he has an entire armoury at his disposal. His overall battle performance increases too, and he also gains a natural healing ability that resembles the Regen magic spell. Though he is significantly drained after using this ability - the extent often determined by how many weapons he created - it easily turns him into a one-man army for its duration.
EX Burst:
The Wild Rose Garden
"I will not let their struggle be wasted!" Firion
The entire battlefield becomes temporarily engulfed in pocket dimension that alters the world to Firion's vision and causes a garden of wild roses to surround the ground everywhere. As if beckoned by the spirits of all the hopes and dreams of the people of Fynn - given life by Firion's resolve - weapons appear everywhere in the sky and rain down upon all of his enemies for powerful Non-Elemental damage, each hit from the weapons ignoring physical and magical defences and acting as if Dispel was attached to them. This ability will revert Firion back to his normal form upon completion of the power's effects.
Notes:
As portrayed in the novel 'Muma no MeikyΕ«' - and hinted at in the game - Firion and Maria are actually in love with each other, and this will be a significant element in his characterization here, though - like the Emperor Mateus in this story - he is only taking ideas from that novel and is not inherently meant to be the same version of Firion in it.
In the novelization Final Fantasy II Muma no MeikyΕ«, Firion and Maria become a romantic couple at the end.
Information from the overall character will be included here for reference material, as this version of Firion has been developed beyond the limits of the original 'Dissidia' games in order to make him more fleshed out and interesting. This incarnation of Firion is from the same world as this cycle's incarnation of Emperor Mateus, making him quite different to the one in previous cycles and possessing a complex nature. He possesses personal touches - like Emperor Mateus - and is a unique version. He possesses the abilities he has in all the different versions of 'Dissidia' - as well as the original game he comes from - but now also possesses new powers.
While he possesses the abilities of those from previous cycles, this incarnation of Cecil has abilities that were not present in them as well. These abilities are all centred around the symbiosis of his classification of 'Split Soul', balancing the nature of the Paladin and Dark Knight. Certain abilities that were once dependant on 'EX Mode' no longer rely on it, with the only exceptions being a few passive abilities that have been modified or enhanced for his newly acquired higher tier class (which is his new 'EX Mode').
{Magic}
While he has never learned Black Magic, Cecil is proficient at the use of White Magic whenever he is in his Paladin form. While he does lean more towards support magic and high level indirect magic, he nevertheless knows how to use healing magic and he was capable of using the Holy magic spell before he came to this cycle. The full list of magic spells he knows will not be noted here, but the use of White Magic is exclusive to his Paladin form currently, including unique powers centred around using holy energy to attack that were wielded by the previous incarnations and were not regular magic spells, while the Dark Knight form uses dark energy in a similar fashion and has yet to learn proper magic spells at all.
{Job Change}
Upon appearing within this cycle, Cecil has discovered he has the power to revert into his old Dark Knight form at will, but he is initially reluctant to do so due to knowing that it forces him to rekindle the feelings he once held during the days as one. While none of his training as a Dark Knight has dulled, he is personally ambivalent towards using these powers and - despite his extremely strong resolve and will - sometimes doubtful of his ability not to be consumed again, though these feelings are likely to wane as he uses the power and accepts that it will not change him as a person. Unlike previous incarnations, he does not need to use specific abilities to trigger the change and simply exerts energy to do it, able to switch freely without being in 'EX Mode'. He is able to wield holy energy in his Paladin form and dark energy in his Dark Knight form, but can only use White Magic in his Paladin form.
{Cover (Paladin)}
While any warrior - in fact any person for that matter - is capable of jumping in front of an ally in order to take damage for them, Cecil's abilities as a Paladin allow him to specialize in this role of a guardian. Whenever he is in the Paladin class the effects an effect similar to the Protect and Shell spells - while not actually being them - is bestowed upon him, granting him the power to form a barrier that guards against physical or magical damage whenever he takes a blow for any ally. This is an automatic power born from his protective spirit and will only work when he takes a blow for others in his Paladin form.
{Darkness (Dark Knight)}
A special ability centred around the use of dark energy, and one which Cecil has been using even during his early days as a Dark Knight due to his natural talent for the military arts. This ability channels the power of his dark sword and uses his own life in order to inflict heavy damage on opponents. At times this power is manifested by simply allowing his sword attacks to inflict higher damage than usual or even instantly fatal damage, while other times he can unleash the power of darkness from his sword and damage all opponents within his vicinity. In all cases, Cecil's own life is drained from doing this, meaning it will eventually take a toll on his stamina, but overall these are some of his most damage attacks against opponents not resistant to dark energy.
{Lightbringer & Deathbringer}
"I swear on this blade, I will not be dissuaded!" Cecil Harvey
In previously incarnations, Cecil required the use of his 'EX Mode' in order to gain access to his holy sword and dark sword, using the 'Job Augment' ability to equip his ideal weaponry for both classes. He is now able to achieve this ability naturally, and each weapon possesses special powers which can be understood better through using their reference links.
EX Mode:
Twilight Paragon
"Both light and darkness give me the guidance I need. Thus, I can turn darkness into hallowed light!" Cecil Harvey
Only by coming to terms with both sides of his own soul in the current moment is Cecil able to achieve his 'EX Mode' and obtain his third (and ultimate) class, Twilight Paragon. This is an exclusive class that can only be wielded by a holy warrior who has been able to master the power of darkness without letting it corrupt their soul. In this class, Cecil wields the strengths of both the Paladin and Dark Knight classes without having the weaknesses of either -- an ability known as 'Proteus'. He also gains an ability called 'Inner Strength' that increases his overall damage output and statistics in general due to his ability to stand in darkness without it weakening the light of his soul. He also gains a healing effect that is basically like having the Regen spell active.
As a Twilight Paragon, he is able to wield light and dark energy at once (the effect of the 'Proteus' ability), merging them into Non-Elemental magic (with a special priority - linked to 'Proteus' - of being able to exploit weaknesses to holy or darkness while still ignoring resistances or immunities), and he can still use White Magic. Both his Lightbringer and Deathbringer swords are available to him at the same time -- he can freely summon of dispatch them at will and even summon or dispatch their respective shields, as well as being able to dual wield both of his swords at once if and when he desires to.
While in 'EX Mode', Cecil's physical appearance remains unchanged from his look as a Paladin, but one half of his armour changes colour -- the right side of it remains white while the left side changes black, symbolizing his duality. He will be extremely fatigued upon coming out of 'EX Mode', but he is exceptionally powerful while in this form.
EX Burst:
Unwavering Purity
The ultimate technique of the Twilight Paragon class, Cecil causes a pocket dimension to temporarily engulf the battlefield. Within this space, light and darkness major are merged and all that remains is the pure and uncorrupted power of the soul. With the unwavering tenacity of his indomitable will, Cecil wields this energy with unyielding resolve and hits his opponents for powerful Non-Elemental damage that ignores physical and magical defences and acts as if Dispel is attached, and it can exploit weakness to holy and darkness without being negated by any resistance or immunity to either.
Notes:
While abilities possessed by the incarnations present in the 'Dissidia' series are at the disposal of this version, he also holds elements from versions of him from other media - including the original game and its novel adaptation, and the sequels to an extent - and this will reflect his personality and plot alongside abilities.
The decision to have him be able to use his sword weapons without 'EX Mode' stems from the fact that it never made a lot of sense for him to use a staff/spear in 'Dissidia' anyway, specially since he was unable to equip them in the game mechanics of 'Dissidia'. Whether this version is actually carrying those staffs/spears on him is undecided and this will likely be played out however it feels the most natural at the time. The artwork chosen would have been something primarily showcasing the swords instead of the staffs/spears, but most of the best pictures of him that were found are from 'Dissidia' and it might be weird having inconsistent pictures.
Personal touches were also added to make a more detailed concept by merging them with existing ideas. General information about other versions of the character outside the 'Dissidia' series will be listed here for the sake of reference material, and this incarnation should be considered different to the ones in previous cycles.
"It's not the net worth of one's life that's important. It is the day to day concerns, the personal victories, and the celebration of life... and love!" Terra Branford
While she carries a sword, the delicate girl known as Terra is not naturally aligned towards physical combat -- even during her time as a brainwashed slave of the Gestahl Empire - a time she no longer remembers outside of nightmarish visions - Terra did her fighting magically and inside the Empire's Magitek Armour. She has not learned to truly fight with a sword, and her current sword was chosen due to it enhancing her magical powers. Nevertheless, if she is able to overcome her disadvantage in physical strength she could learn to wield a weapon effectively.
{Magic}
"I'm afraid to fight... But I have to keep moving forward." Terra Branford
Alongside all the magic spells that she has been seen to be capable of learning and wielding in the previous cycles, this incarnation of Terra is capable to use a variety of others, including - but not limited to - healing magic such as Cure (heals wounds and health of herself or a target) and a higher variant of it, Esuna (cures negative status ailments to herself or a target), Raise (restores an incapacitated ally, on a small amount of health), and Arise (restores an incapacitated ally, at their full health) -- this last one currently exhausts her a lot though. She has other spells learned as well - in multiple categories - and will learn more as she grows, as well as reclaim spells she has lost since crossing to this dimension. Certain abilities that were once dependant on her 'EX Mode' are slowly becoming available to her through magic in her human form.
{Magic Charge}
Terra is - due to her unique nature - able to charge her magic spells simply by focusing on them, allowing her to increase their power to higher levels. This essentially allows her to make her magic comparable to the potency of higher grade versions of the spells, even without learning those high tiers; however, in order to do so she requires a lot of concentration, and therefore cannot initiate an attack during the charging process. Falling under attack will break her focus as well. This power does not only work with her offensive magic, but also her healing spells. Whenever she charges a spell, her hair alters colour from a natural blonde to a mint green -- its full change into a spearmint green signifies she has reached the limit of her power-up, and it reverts back to blonde after she releases the spell.
EX Mode:
Trance
"What is... this voice... in my head!?" Terra Branford
Due to being the child of a human and an esper, Terra has the power to transform into an esper herself. In this state, the usually tender and somewhat frail girl becomes superhuman -- she is granted significant strength where there normally would be little, and her speed and endurance are drastically increased as well. She has access to new powers, including - but not limited to - a natural healing ability that resembles the Regen magic spell, the ability to fly, and the 'Chainspell' ability -- this allows her to embrace her magical powers more deeply and use her spirit to cast spells multiple times in greater succession. Once she reverts back to her human form, she is significantly weakened. Alongside her magic, abilities such as her 'Riot Blade' attack also become more powerful and enhanced in this state and no longer need her to be in a desperate state nor do they overwhelm her, and the 'Chaos Wave' ability - a trademark of her father Maduin - can be used without effort.
EX Burst:
Beloved of Espers
Terra's connection to the world of the espers - facilitated by her half-blooded link - opens a doorway into a pocket dimension which houses numerous espers. These magical beings of lore immediately resonate to the girl whose existence shares a bond with them, and - in response to the kindness and purity within her, and inspired by her dedication and spirit - they unless a powerful torrent of combined magical energy against her enemies that attacks for powerful Non-Elemental damage, using her body as a medium. The attack ignores physical and magical defences and acts as if Dispel is attached to it.
Notes:
I'll be playing with the idea that Firion looks like Locke (because he really does) so this will affect how Terra reacts to him, and her status of having a pact with Mog will be explained at the beginning of the story. There is also something about Terra's physical appearance that will come into play eventually, but I won't reveal what -- saying this so it does not look like I pulled it out of nowhere. Information from the overall character is also included here for reference material, as this version will be developed beyond the limits of the original 'Dissidia' games in order to make fleshed her out more and add interesting details, making her a different incarnation from the previous cycles. She possesses the abilities of the various 'Dissidia' games - alongside some of those from her original game - but also has new touches added as well.
"You have braved the bowels of Hell to reach me. But the hand of man, which deals in false justice and forsaken love, can never hope to defeat the lord master of Hell!" Emperor Mateus
Emperor Mateus is a powerful mage with enough willpower and intellect to gamble with and overthrow gods, and he possesses a wide range of abilities as well as the capacity to easily grow and learn more of them to adapt to a situation. Alongside those that appear in previous cycles, some of his other talents consist of the following:
{Advanced Weaponry Development}
He is skilled in the development of advanced weaponry, having been responsible for the creation of the Dreadnought airship and also the Cyclone -- a massive floating fortress surrounded by an artificial tornado capable of levelling entire kingdoms.
{Magic}
While known for his preference for Thunder-based magic, he is certainly not limited to it. Including those shown in previous cycles, such as Flare and his trademark Starfall spell, he is able to use a variety of magic spells including - but not limited to - Haste (increases his speed or that of his target), Mirage (creates illusionary images of himself to raise evasive capabilities), Curse (weakens his opponent's general statistics), Slow (slows the speed of his target), Blaze (Fire-based magic against all enemies, or at least over a very wide area), and Dispel (removes support magic from the target).
{Demon Summoning}
He once sold his soul to the ruler of Pandaemonium, granting him the powers to summon demons from Hell. Upon his first death he overthrew the ruler of Pandaemonium and claimed the throne of Hell for himself, causing all demons to become his servants and granting him new powers including the ability to create demons himself. Unlike the previous incarnations, the one in this cycle is able to use this to summon demonic entities from another dimension - or create them directly - to act as his monsters and familiars.
{Power of Hellfire}
Having overthrown the ruler of Pandaemonium after his first death, he possesses the powers of the lord of Hell, including a power known as 'Blood Magic' which allows him to drain health from his opponents whenever he attacks them, recovering his own wounds by inflicting them on others. He also has a slow healing ability resembling the Regen magic spell, without the need to cast it. Unlike the previous incarnations, he is able to use this naturally and does not require to be in a higher state of existence. He actually fakes this power out as his 'EX Mode' when he wants to keep his mysterious nature hidden, transforming into a guise resembling his 'EX Mode' in previous cycles.
{'Heir of Hellfire' Contract}
A contract that he uses in order to grant one chosen as his emissary the ability to obtain the powers of a spurious lord of Hell, granting them certain powers resembling the Emperor's own. The current bearer of this status is Marche Radiuju, but there have actually been previous bearers that the boy is unaware of. What Marche does not know is that the price of this power is the loss of the bearer's soul -- each time the youth uses this power they slowly give a part of their being to the Emperor until it will eventually leave them as an empty doll. As souls are incredibly powerful, he has used this to boost his own powers with each bearer he goes through.
{???}
While appearing identical at first glance, this version of Emperor Mateus is not truly the same as the previous incarnations, and part of this unique nature means he possesses mysterious powers which are currently kept hidden from all those around him. The full extent and nature of these powers is unknown, but he is able to commit deicide with them and possibly even go beyond that.
EX Mode:
Multiversal Paradox
"This world can have but one Emperor, and I am he!" Emperor Mateus
Unknown even to Cosmos and Chaos, the incarnation of Emperor Mateus summoned into this cycle is actually different to those who appeared in the past. Though the process of travelling into this dimension has resulted in his powers significantly weakening until given the time to allow them to grow to their peak once more, this version has powers on par with the gods themselves and a rather mysterious history. Chaos inadvertently aided his process of getting his powers back when he granted him power with the rest of the warriors he summoned.
Whenever he enters 'EX Mode', a glimpse - albeit small - of his 'true self' is shown. His entire colour scheme changes, including that of his weapon, and his magical powers become significantly greater. His 'Blood Magic' ability is also rendered useless due to him gaining a regeneration power that renders him virtually immortal unless negated by a powerful enough force. He is able to access spells that would normally take a toll on him with exceptional ease in this form, and even has access to new magic, including - mysteriously - the Holy magic spell and the ability summon angelic entities from Heaven - and even create them as though he were a god - as well as possessing a heavenly version of 'Power of Hellfire'. Despite this, he retains all of this normal powers as well.
While in 'EX Mode', Emperor Mateus gains access to a new summon - known as Eden - which is considerably more powerful than a regular summon. This towering entity has been referred to as 'the strongest of all summons' in another world, and wields cosmic level power.
EX Burst:
???
"Death, life, even the divine shall come under my rule!" Emperor Mateus
There is nothing known about this power - besides being known to Emperor Mateus himself - including its name. Currently, his power has not peaked and he is unable to use this, but even without it he is an incredibly formidable opponent.
Notes:
This version of Emperor Mateus is quite different from the one summoned in the previous incarnations, with a more complex nature. He possesses elements from the version of him presented in the novel 'Muma no MeikyΕ«' (which I am not entirely savvy about but will do my best), and therefore information regarding it will be included here. He is also more powerful than the incarnations in other cycles alongside having a more developed history and personality overall in comparison.
In the novel Muma no MeikyΕ« it is stated Palamecia is cursed with demonic influences that corrupt its emperors. The demon, desiring to rule the world by human proxy, turns men into malicious masterminds by polluting their thoughts with its malice.
The novelization develops on the origin of his powers, attributing it to Satan, lord of Hell, with whom Mateus makes a pact to summon demonic forces into the mortal world. In the novel Muma no MeikyΕ« the demon that corrupts the minds of Palamecian emperors originates from the beginning of the world when it became trapped within the indestructible 'Stone of Iludia' and swore revenge. After ascending to the throne, Mateus exiled his mother, Airu, to the deserts of Palamecia, and yet she still spends her life trying to find a way to save him, although she never manages to do this.
Other elements from versions of Emperor Mateus from outside of 'Dissidia' were taken into account when developing this incarnation (though all his abilities from 'Dissidia' series are still retained alongside the new powers and concepts), and therefore the information regarding his overall character will be included here for reference material. There are also a few personalized touches. He still possesses the exact same primary goal as the 'Dissidia' incarnation - overthrowing Cosmos and Chaos - but I imagine his chances of doing so and motivation differ. Unlike the previous incarnations, his existence is an anomaly -- while the previous incarnations were not powerful enough to take a god - such as Chaos - on directly, this incarnation is closer to his canonical version (who was capable of defeating both God and Satan), but is also beyond that version and should be thought of as a different envisioning of the character; however, since awakening in the present cycle he has not fully manifested his true powers yet.
An extraordinarily powerful warlock, Exdeath possesses all the powers and abilities that the incarnations of previous cycles held, but now holds even more power and is a devastating opponent. Including those seen by previous incarnations, he also wields the following abilities:
{Immortality}
In the past, all anyone was able to do was seal him due to his regenerative powers and the fact that he never stays down no matter how much damage he takes. Even if his strength is completely depleted he will recover completely in only a short period of time rejuvenating himself, effectively making him immortal.
{Magic}
As a powerful warlock, he holds great magic capabilities and is even able to transform his own shape to a certain extent. He can wield a large variety of magic spells, which will be left unlisted. Even when placed under a seal he is powerful enough to be able to possess monsters and people to bend them to agents of his bidding, which is how he was able to shatter the crystals and free himself in the first place.
{Demons of the Rift}
Due to having taken the power of the Void as his own, Exdeath is now able to command the Demons of the Rift -- legendary demons who were sealed in the Interdimensional Rift. They are powerful and eternally loyal to him, as he has promised them he will create a new world of darkness for them to inhabit.
EX Mode:
Power of the Void
"The Void beckons..." Exdeath
Claiming power over the Void, Exdeath's power was immensely boosted and soared beyond his limits. Whenever he activates 'EX Mode', he gains access to these powers. Unless the willpower of his opponent - or the magic acting as the foundation of the target is strong - Exdeath is able to erase any part of existence with a mere thought, engulfing the opposition and channelling it into the another dimension through the Void. This includes erasing the magic spells, equipment, or abilities of his opponents, the effects of spells, and also summons. Through this power he can achieve a variety of different attacks and defences, including nullifying certain offenses against him, and for all intents and purposes he can hit the enemy with the Dispel magic spell without casting it. Unless the willpower or magical capacity of the opponent is especially potent he cannot even really be harmed in this form without the power of the Void being turned against him. The risk of using this power is that if pushed too far Exdeath will be consumed by the Void himself, forcing the activation of his 'EX Burst' unless he comes out of 'EX Mode' before this happens. While wielding the power of the Void, he also gains more powerful spells and abilities in general (including faster ability to deflect and counter attacks), and possesses a healing effect that is similar to Regen (this might be meaningless given he already has insane regeneration).
During 'EX Mode', he is also able to revert back to his true form as a monstrous tree -- doing this will significantly increase his powers - granting him access to more powerful spells - but will also increase the risk of him being consumed by the power of the Void. Even when he does not take his true form, his appearance is still somewhat twisted to resemble his true nature.
EX Burst:
Neo Exdeath
"I am Neo Exdeath! All memories...dimensions...existence... All that is shall be returned to nothing. Then I, too, can disappear... forever!!!" Neo Exdeath
Unlike the 'EX Burst' of other characters, Exdeath's is something that is not triggered of his own volition but rather will happen if he sustains too much damage somehow during 'EX Mode' or if he becomes consumed by the Void. After being engulfed by the Void and spat back out, he will turn into Neo Exdeath -- in this state he is vastly more powerful but also completely loses his sanity to hatred and nihilism, resulting in him seeking to end all existence including his own as well, and he will remain in this state without ever reverting back. He also has new attacks resembling conventional 'EX Burst' abilities.
Notes:
This version of Exdeath possesses the abilities of the various incarnations from the 'Dissidia' series, while also taking elements from other appearances in the franchise and as such is a different incarnation from previous cycles. Information about the overall character is listed as reference material.
Golbez is a powerful mage who possesses a genius for the arcane arts, though this was primarily reserved to the art of Black Magic as he was unable to learn the Cure spell as a child. While he possesses the abilities witnessed by the incarnations of previous cycles, this one possesses more powers rooted in other versions of him.
{Battle Mage}
His primary classification in previous cycles has been known as 'Thaumaturge', which is a unique art of war he taught himself with his own genius that specializes in combining unarmed melee fighting with arcane power in order to strike physically and magically at the same time. Due to this, the Protect and Shell magic spells only reduce half of the damage as normal against many of his attacks and both need to be active at the same time in order to reduce the damage to the regular level these spells would, and these same attacks are immune to the Reflect spell due to not being standard magic.
{Endurance/Fortitude/Resistance}
"The flesh may rot, but the soul never perishes..." Golbez
Golbez has been shown to possess a superhuman level of endurance and fortitude, being capable of resisting against serious and even fatal harm inflicted by both physical and magical attacks, including being able to shrug off all but the most powerful of magic spells without effort even when not at the peak of his powers. He has stated that death will not claim him, and is even able to control disembodied parts of his body and use them to take action or put himself back together again, showing he possesses a strong natural healing power. His willpower is truly phenomenal and it will allow him to survive where others would have perished, as if he would survive the end of the world itself.
{Magic}
While he found himself lacking the ability to learn healing magic as a child, Golbez was always a genius in the arts of Black Magic. He possesses the ability to use virtually all offensive magic and can easily learn those that are currently not within his arsenal, also being proficient at the usage of the 'Twincast' ability when working together with other high level mages. He still possesses all the dark energy summoning he did in previous cycles and can summon the nodes to fire beams still. The electric shocks he was known for using to critically wound his opponents are still available to him as well, and he can still perform teleportation and telepathy. The full list of his magic spells will not be included here, but it can be assumed he more or less knows all of the Black Magic spells.
{???}
This ability is a mystery, and will be revealed in time.
{Twin Moon}
Golbez casts and unleashes a powerful magic spell along with Bahamut, utilizing the existence of his summon together with his own power at using the 'Twincast' skill. This ability only works if the summon is active.
{Black Fang}
A powerful magic attack that Golbez has access to due to having a connection with the Shadow Dragon for a long time. The Golbez of previous cycles required 'EX Mode' to access it, but this incarnation can use it naturally; however, the spell still has a fairly long casting time. Once unleashed upon the enemy it will break through their defences and stagger them while also instantly inflicting the effects of the Death spell on those who are not resistant to it -- this generally means those in 'EX Mode' are immune to it, but so are certain opponents naturally. It basically goes through defences as though Dispel magic was attached to it.
{Cimmerian Edge (a.k.a. Ebony Blade)}
While he is not known to battle with a weapon, Golbez carries a large sword - most likely a greatsword - on his back which is known as the 'Cimmerian Edge' or the 'Ebony Blade', and he is in fact very efficient at wielding it. Though the weapon is designed to be used with both hands, Golbez is easily strong enough to use it with one and often exclusively holds it in his left (he is left-handed) hand.
{Other Abilities}
Alongside the abilities already listed, he possesses a skill known as 'Pressure' (inflicts the Paralyse status effect by invoking fear in the enemy) and another known as 'Taunt' (draws in enemy attacks towards him by making them infuriating or offending them).
EX Mode:
???
"If you want to know the secret of the crystal, follow my shadow." Golbez
EX Burst:
???
Notes:
Mentioning too much about this version of Golbez early on will spoil things, so unless requested I will refrain from divulging information regarding him until a certain plot point occurs. Elements from versions of Golbez outside of the 'Dissidia' series have been taken into account - including the original game and its novel adaptation, and the sequel game as well - but he still possesses the abilities of the incarnations from previous cycles with a single exception that will remain unlisted for now. General information about the character from other versions of him will be listed here for the sake of reference material, as this version is not the same as previous cycles. Personal touches have been used in symbiosis with existing ideas to form a more detailed concept.
A mysterious group of warriors who serve Emperor Mateus' will, known as the 'Hell Knights'. They hide their faces behind dark masks, speak nothing of themselves, and possess powers comparable to some of the Warriors of Cosmos and Chaos. One can only guess what lies behind the masks of these emissaries of Hell.
Name:
Hell Dragoon (Only known by a battle title. If they have a name, they do not use it.)
A powerful warrior who combines demonic magic together with the skills of a Dragoon, subsequently being called the 'Hell Dragoon'. Wields a corrupted weapon that has been empowered (or rather, 'tainted') by Emperor Mateus.
{Magic}
Capable of wielding certain forms of magic due to being empowered by Emperor Mateus. The full list of spells will be revealed over the course of the story, and will not be listed in this area, though the spells are mostly offensive or disruptive in nature.
{Dragon (Dragoon)}
A special set of skills that this warrior has access to. The list will not be revealed here.
{Dragon's Hair}
The spear carried by this warrior has been corrupted, giving it a warped form and altered otherworldly powers.
Note: It goes without saying, but I don't own the official copyrights to these characters -- they are Final Fantasy characters and I'm role-playing them as part of a thread based around/inspired by the Dissidia franchise. With that out of the way, there are elements being introduced to these characters that're my own ideas -- I still kept them within context to the characters in order to make them fitting concepts. A lot of the details regarding the characters were kept secret upon registration in order to avoid spoiling too much. Normally, I don't like doing fandom role-plays as a general rule (which was stated in my bio), but this is one of those rare instances of someone proposing one that I thought I'd enjoy working with, especially considering how much creativity liberty I've got with this group. I got my start in play-by-post role-play on a Final Fantasy forum, and I'm generally a fan of the franchise. I've essentially used this opportunity to play with certain ideas that I felt Dissidia should've used.

165cm / 5'5"
Weight:
62kg / 136lbs

Freelance Worker {He does various odd-jobs for an income.}

"..." (Single)
Appearance:
Leonard is an attractive young man with light skin, silvery-blue eyes, and light dirty blonde hair of medium-length that is rather unkempt and feathery. He is handsome, even a 'pretty boy', and his slender build might give off the illusion that he is female to a less observant eye. He is also rather short, which is something of a personal pet peeve for him even if he usually hides that. His lower body clothing consists of a pair of very dark brown cargo pants that are quite baggy, and a pair of very dark brown boots which have a couple of belts around them seemingly for fashion purposes. The black belt with a gold buckle around his waist actually holds two black sheathes that conceal a pair of daggers. His upper body clothing consists of three layers -- a red jacket on top, a black hoodie in the middle, and a white tan zip-up shirt underneath that has red trim up the centre and along the collar which is worn up. His outfit is a bit worn in general, implying he wears it quite a lot. He also wears a golden locket at almost all times, which is his most cherished possession. Though not wearing them constantly, he often has a pair of black fingerless gloves on his person -- sometimes kept in the worn-out black duffel bag that holds most of his important belongings.
Synopsis:
Leonard is a young man with a tragic past, losing his parents in an accident while he was a mere infant and taken in by Grove Walker - his godfather and a long-standing close friend of his parents - who adopted the boy and raised him like he was his own son. Never really knowing about his parents outside of comments from Grove about their friendship, Leonard has since grown up into an introspective, emotional, inquisitive, and kind soul. He is refreshingly forthright, preferring to be straightforward with others and disliking the superficial formalities and masks used by much of society. Few people are more sentimental or sensitive than him; in fact, he can be so empathetic that he cares too much for those who are perhaps undeserving, and a tendency to wear his heart on his sleeves has caused him to go through much pain. A horrible incident ended up putting his adopted father in prison, and he has been surviving on his own by doing odd-jobs ever since, using the skills that Grove taught him to survive. During that terrible event, Leonard lost what was most previous to him, leaving him incomplete and alone in the world.
Despite growing up in a rough neighbourhood in the lower-class streets of Brooklyn nearly his entire life, he is far more serious and complex than the laid-back and sarcastic youth he might seem on the surface; a strong sense of morality and spirituality reside in him, as well as a passionate romantic and artistic nature. There is also a purity to him that is difficult not to see, and the flow of intuitive and psychic energy is something he is highly attuned to. His fragile appearance is also extremely misleading; he is very tough inside thanks to his lifestyle and is actually quite athletic, possessing a powerful competitive streak that compliments his inner strength. Through resolve, he is able to overcome lack of natural ability or experience through the power of his determined attitude. While clearly a thoughtful young man, he is no pushover; living only on his terms, those who boss him around quickly learn that his will is quite unyielding, and anyone who talks down to him discovery he never hesitates to stand up for himself.
Notes:
Astrological sign is Pisces.
Leonard's surname is a fusion of the surname of his parents (Christian) with the surname of his adopted father (Walker).
Birth parents' names were Thames Christian and Cindy Christian (formerly Cindy Williams).
He speaks with an instantly recognizable Brooklyn accent. His voice is quite masculine -- a stark contrast to his appearance.
Considers his height annoying, and generally dislikes being referred to as 'short'. This has less to do with disliking his height itself, and more to do with hating it when people underestimate him -- something which his appearance and social status often results in.
His attention to detail and perceptiveness are exceptionally keen - practically genius, in fact - and he jokingly uses the term 'detective mode' to refer to how he gets whenever he is analyzing or reading into something. His deep nature makes him a natural detective in ways, so the term is not particularly unfounded; however, it was Grove who taught him to always use his insight to scrutinize the details of things around him -- in a sense, Leonard was raised to be something of an investigator. Alongside his wit and resourceful nature, this makes him a valuable ally in a variety of situations.
Leonard is not what one would call 'book smart', but he is incredibly 'street smart'. He never had a formal education, and what knowledge he does have was either picked up wherever he could find it or was taught to him by Grove. With that said, Grove always told him that school was meaningless for teaching you things that actually had value, and - as frequently mentioned to him by his adopted father - Leonard considers people who confuse their knowledge for wisdom or insight to be shallow and arrogant, so he is not particularly bothered by his circumstances.
Proficient in the art of American Kenpo, which was taught to him by Grove. He is basically an expert, and specializes in a hybrid of unarmed combat and dual wielding knives. Combining this with his bravery and wits, Leonard can easily overcome groups of attackers on his own. Of course, he is still a human, so a gun is as dangerous to him as anyone else.
Exceptional finger dexterity from wielding his daggers all the time means he would be an excellent pickpocket if he needed to be (not that he believes in stealing without good reason).
Has a rather wide variety of interests in music, though he dislikes a lot of rap and heavy metal.
He is quite good at video games (though rarely plays them), and his adopted father taught him chess and a few card games.
Dislikes firearms quite a lot, which is one of the reasons he chose to learn hand-to-hand combat.
Frequently mentions someone called 'Rose', but can get pretty quiet if asked who they are.
Annabelle is a very attractive young woman with delicate features - a true feminine beauty - and a tender expression on her light Caucasian face. She looks young even without relying on make-up (though she does sometimes wear it, depending on the occasion), being 'baby-faced' while still having features that would be considered rather 'hot' alongside being 'cute', which is helped by her noticeable womanly figure. Her sky blue eyes are usually warm, yet melancholy and deep at the same time; in fact, they often have an expression as if she has many things on her mind that she is not saying. Despite the calm look on her face most of the time causing her eyes to appear smaller and a bit sleepy, her eyes are actually known to be fairly big and expressive when she shows more excitable or troubled emotion, making her have rather dynamic facial features. Her hair is a strawberry blonde color, and is both long (almost down to her waist) and wavy. The hair at the front of her face is styled into large parted bangs -- the ones at the right being swept behind her ear - though a few bangs still sit in front of her ear and frame her face - while the ones on the left are draping down over her forehead and framing down the left side of her face; in fact, her left eye could easily be covered by it if she wished. Some of her hair is usually hanging over the front of her right shoulder. No matter what she wears, she is virtually always seen wearing a pair of small golden crucifixes around her neck on a thin golden chain; in fact, it is almost as if she never takes this off, since she has never been seen without it.
She usually has a large white purse on her wherever she goes. While her clothing can be a bit dynamic at times - shifting from cultured and formally classy to a bit more casual - her preferred style of casual outfit is still quite elegant, which reveals her tastes. She usually wears black heels that put her at roughly one or two inches taller than her actual height, and black gloves - which go to her wrists and cover her fingers - that she usually takes off while playing an instrument. Unless the weather is particularly hot, her legs are usually covered by either black leggings, tight stockings, or thigh highs. It is frequently difficult to tell which she is currently wearing due to the black skirts with frilly trim she tends to wear only going down to roughly her thighs at most. Whatever upper body clothing she currently has on is generally hidden underneath her favourite pale red jacket with dark red trim and collar, that almost looks like autumn wear but is actually versatile for most weather - it prevents her from feeling too hot or too cold - and is usually kept on unless wants to show off whatever she is wearing. During more formal occasions or performances, she frequently wears a black mid-calf length cocktail dress with frilly spaghetti straps, alongside her usual black heels and an alternative - going up virtually most of her arms, rather than stopping at her wrists - pair of black gloves. An overcoat that is virtually identical to her favourite jacket - it just goes down virtually to her feet instead of stopping at her waist - is usually worn over her outfit unless she is particularly hot or wants to show off her dress. Whenever this coat is kept closed, it is virtually impossible to work out what the rest of her clothing might be apart from her shoes and gloves. On occasions she has been seen wearing white instead of black, such as having a white version of her usual cocktail dress, and she apparently prefers this look over the black version, but for some reason she does not do this too often despite that.
Synopsis:
The beautiful and soft-spoken Annabelle Joanne Taylor - or 'Anna', as the media calls her - is a talented music soloist who moves around the world; in fact, she never really seems to settle in one place. Her career has been going on for roughly four years now, and she remains popular within music circles to this day. Due to her nomadic nature (the fact is that she disappears often and resurfaces for performances, living a very private life for the most part), not many people know anything about her personal life; however, this only seems to add to the mysterious allure that follows her. Little is known about her life as a result, but she is said to be warm and melancholy at the same time, with a kind, thoughtful, sensual, gentle, and sensitive personality. Empathy and sentimentality run deep with her, and she is both imaginative and poetic. Those who have managed to know her say she is very nurturing, and that she has an extreme hatred of seeing others in any sort of pain. It is said she cares little for scientific mentalities, considering them to have nothing to do with true wisdom. Her talents in the music field include work as a vocalist and a pianist (often combining them), and though she does not focus on them she occasionally plays a few other instruments. She is considered extremely gifted due to the wide versatility she has in the field. Sometimes, she contributes to group performances but she has never officially teamed up with anyone, and she only has one solo album to her name. She recently appeared in Paris around a month ago and was quickly hired to work as a musician at Monsieur Bonaparte's estate, apparently wanting to take time away from less reclusive performances and think her life over.
Notes:
Astrological sign is Scorpio.
She loves classical music, as it soothes her mind and calms her soul. She chose her occupation for that reason.
Despite it not being her priority instrument, she is said to get very nostalgic any time she hears the violin.
Her accent is extremely indistinguishable, potentially due to how much she moves around.
Word is that she was invited to Monsieur Bonaparte's estate, and then offered her services as a musician to him shortly afterwards, due to her love of her music work. Even though she is on a vacation of sorts, she finds her heart uneasy when she is not using her musical talents, so this behaviour makes a lot of sense.
She is known for going to a lot of lengths to avoid the media in general, and any sort of invasion of her privacy is something she will go out of her way to prevent. Subsequently, people often have a difficult time keeping track of when and where she moves until she resurfaces for work.
As a result of being a beautiful and mysterious celebrity, she has received several offers to work as a model, but turned down the requests each time. Her statements specified that she has nothing against the line of work, but is too shy for it. On the other hand, she did a few photographs early on in her career.
She speaks very little above her upbringing in Lublin, apparently being estranged from her family.
Calling her 'Annie' can upset her, though she is unlikely to explain the reason.
It is fairly known that - despite her having enough money to maintain her nomadic lifestyle - she donates a solid amount of the money she makes through her music to charities, and a lot of the music endeavours she participates in are charity events.
The sole album to her name, 'It's Time To Say Goodbye', consists mostly of piano pieces (often multiple versions of each track, some mixed with her vocals or other effects and some with just the piano), but there is a single instrumental track on the album that involves her playing the violin alongside a piano piece. She played both instruments in this track and then merged them together.
One of the very few times she has spoken publically was to express her deep admiration for Monsieur Bonaparte and to personally applaud his philanthropic work.
Generally an unimposing appearing man who looks rather young, and who has a fairly average height and weight, Sven does not really have many physical characteristics that would make him stand out from an ordinary Eurasian man -- very clearly what he is if one was to simply take a look at him. He has roughly jaw-length dark brown hair - difficult to determine if natural or dyed - which is mostly straight and is parted into bangs that frame down both sides of his forehead, though there are larger bangs on the left side than on the right. His dark brown eyes tend to have a pair of square rimless reading glasses covering them. He usually has an extremely slight amount of facial hair -- just a few stray stands around his chin that seemingly got missed during his last shave. His outfit usually consists of a simple green T-shirt, with a pair of dark grey pants - normally worn with a black belt that has a silver buckle - and very dark brown dress shoes. A yellow overcoat is generally worn over his outfit, that is left open and falls down to his knees. One accessory that seems to always be on him is a silver pocket watch, that he wears around his neck like a pendant with a long chain.
Synopsis:
Sven Lund is an informant who travels around the world and sells information; in fact, he is a highly proficient information broker despite his young age. Born in Sweden to a Swedish father and a Korean mother who immigrated, this Eurasian man is often considered something of a quirky and even oddball airhead to those who meet him. He comes across as if he does not really have himself worked out, is a bit comical at times, and can even seem really unorganized at first glance, but he has a lot of personal charm and is a lot smarter than he seems. With a friendly, polite, and unthreatening disposition that always tries to lighten the mood, underneath he is intelligent and resourceful, and his ability to remember information can seem nothing short of extraordinary. He tends to not like speaking about his past, and has not been home in a rather long time -- his accent is largely faded out due to moving around so much. Generally speaking, he lives a rather private life, so while he knows a great deal about many people in the world the same cannot be said about other people's knowledge of him. Actually, he is often quite vague with people unless he needs to be professional. What an information broker who seems quite successful - if perhaps a bit unknown - would want from Monsieur Bonaparte is anyone's guess.
Notes:
Astrological sign is Aquarius.
He always has three things with him. They are his laptop, his mobile phone, and the pocket watch he keeps around his neck. For whatever reason, he seems to be somewhat obsessed with time, which is the reason for the pocket watch he wears. He regularly uses all three of his appliances to keep tabs on the time.
The ability he possesses to remember and store information within his mind is remarkable, as his brain is essentially an expansive database of info he has heard or researched throughout his life. He has a nearly flawless photographic memory, though it is still within human limitations and he uses his laptop to compensate.
He knows multiple languages, but since he tends to move around a lot no one really knows how many he has learned.
Though the past is, in a general sense, not a topic he likes to speak about, he is especially reluctant to talk about his family.
Note: 'Grim Reaper's Gambit' is loosely connected to my main 'Guardian Ascension' project, by virtue of being a spin-off and part of its multiverse. The characters listed here aren't actually part of the cast of that main project (unless stated otherwise in their sheets) and are unique to this spin-off. Naturally, only the characters created/owned/played by me are included here, and I've not included the NPCs for the time being.
Updated Note: 'Grim Reaper's Gambit' is now a part of the main universe and official canon of 'Guardian Ascension', and some of the characters in the - at one time mere spin-off - project have gone through a bit of a revamp due to that.
