[[Forgive me if it's not the greatest, it's 2am right now; but I'm so excited to start]]

The raining was pounding down across the earth and the thunder bellowed across the sky. The trees howled as their branches thrashed about and some even broke. Animals scattered, seeking out shelter as debris flew through and cracked against boulders. Leaning against a tree, she hugged her cloak tighter around her body and used the tree to protect her from the winds. Crouching lower to the ground, she cursed under her breath. She scanned the area the best she could to find some kind of shelter.

She spotted a small burrow that was surrounded by large rocks. It must be perfect to keep the rain out. Or at least she hoped. Holding steady on her feet, she moved towards it. Her body swayed and skid across the muddy grass. She shivered as she was drenched in the cold rain and jumped everytime lightning cracked across the sky. As she drew closer, her foot was caught beneath a large root and twisted. Her ankle made a loud cracking sound as she slammed to her knees in the mud. She let out a loud shriek in pain and grasped her ankle. The wind seemed to blow harder, if that were even possible. Covered in mud and injured, she curled her body against the tree. She could not stand, a siring pain ran up her leg; her ankle was broken.

Saedd walked slowly through the storm, not mounted on his horse to make the journey easier, his hood drawn overtone top of his head to protect it from the rain. "damn weather!" he exclaimed, he wiped the water from his face and eyes. Ahead of him he saw a large tree which could protect him and most of his horse, he rushed towards it before noticing a muddy girl huddled between the roots, from the looks of it she was an elve, but her features were different, unusual, as if she were a half elve; but that didn't matter at the moment, Saedd noticed the girls' broken ankle and dropped to tend to it.

"Well would you look at that, We are in for some serious weather! What do you want to do? Hunt for some poor animals caught in the storm so that we can put them out of their misery? or should we just sit here bored out of our minds by a nice warm fire?" He says picking up his sword and sheathing it. "Yeah, Im with you, lets go find stuff in the storm! It'll be fun! We gotta get ready though, Lets do our best before the storm hits... Its coming fast." With that, Vakim starts to scour his home for his most waterproof things and his mud boots. After everything has been collected he swiftly equips everything and throws a cloak around himself. "Well... We beat the storm... What now? Ill get a fire blazing for when I get back..." He says as he starts to gather some of his dry wood and place them in the fireplace. He works diligently while the storm approaches, the first few raindrops are already falling through the trees.

Not long after he has finished setting up his fire and starting it the storm hits, and hits hard... the winds pick up and whip around branches as they race through the trees. He yells and hollers getting all excited because of the storm, ready to face mother nature head on. He knew it would suck and be miserable out there but that was what made it fun, thats what gets the adrenaline going. So, without any hesitation or delay Vakim rushes down the slopes of the mountain, running a little then planting his feet and sliding in the mud. 'His whole mountain' was just like a mud puddle.

"There! There! Do you see it? A poor little four legged animal all soaked and miserable!" He says apparently to no-one as he reaches for a stone tipped arrow and slings it in the bow string. "Ready, Steady.... Go." The arrow flies at its target piercing the flesh and penetrating through the chest cavity. "SCORE! Im eatin FRESH tonight!" He says happily as he approaches the creature and ties its feet to a rope which he straps over his shoulder. "Onward. More discoveries await!" Vakim runs down the slope stopping from tree to tree to survey the area once in awhile.

"OOOOOoooooo! A Horse! oh wait... is that... oh, there are people down there... Better go check it out." he says as he spots two hunched over bodies taking shelter from the storm. Vakim approaches them slowly making a few arcs around them to make sure he knew what he was walking into. One looked injured and didnt look very good. The other, Simply a good fellow who stopped to help. There was no danger as far as he could see so he weighed the pros and cons to the venture and quickly decided to reveal himself and interact with the two.

"Well... You two look like shit! What are you doing out in this storm in the first place? Ive got a fire burning back at my place and the path up isn't far off over there. Would you like to warm up and take some shelter? My hospitality is famous around here! Okay not really, but the offer is extended... and like I said... You two don't look to good."

She felt a sense of awe wash over her as despite the terrible weather, a stranger came to her aide. Her black hair stuck to her face even as it whipped around by the violent winds. She glanced at the horse, watching it as the large animal braced itself against the tree. It seemed so calm, he must have it trained well. As she watched him tend to her ankle, she winced and wanted to yank her leg away when he touched it. Her ear twitched as she heard the faint sound of another voice and quickly turned her head. She felt as if her voice was gone, she couldn't find any words to say. Did they not realize what she was? She blinked. Her elven features must override her vampiric more so than she anticipated. She managed to mumble out to the first man, who was still kneeling in the mud; handling her ankle. "Thank you..?"

After dealing with her ankle Saedd picked up the girl and placed her on his horse, he turned to the two men and said, "take us to your home, her leg'll get infected if we don't clean it properly.", he motioned the two men to show them the way, he'd thank them later but e girl was most important at the moment. Saedd was probably the only one with healing water at that time, he'd have to give it to her later, they began to move through the rain to the two mens' house.

Artemis was sitting on a high tree branch looking all around the forest around her. It was hard to see from the heavy rain but you could never be too careful in a world like this. She started to lean back and close her eyes when she heard voices come from below. Shit...please don't be vampires, she thought to herself as she climbed down the tree with her dagger drawn. She hide behind a bush to see who was talking. They were humans and a small elf child. She poked her head up putting up the dagger. "Are you okay little one?" She asked hoping that no one would assume the worst from her and try to attack her. "Are these men trying to hurt you?" She said unsure of what was happening but this late at night in a storm... Anything is possible.

"she's sprained her ankle, elf, we're taking her to this mans house to properly clean it, unless you have something to say to us come along, we'll need you're eleven magic if you even have any.", Saedd picked up this elve as well and placed her on the horse next to Rena, "keep an eye on that wound, make sure it doesn't twist any weird way, we'll need to mend the bones and if they're in bits they will be even harder to heal.", the four set off for vakims' house.

Rena's face twisted as she bit her tongue to correct the Elven girl who approached. Did she really look young enough to be considered a child? Then again, she was abandoned in the forest with nothing to defend with; she probably looked like a helpless infant. With the rain still pouring upon them, she looked at the group and held onto the horse. She was taken back by the man who helped her just pick up the other woman and set her on the horse as well. She had no idea where they were going, all she knew was that her ankle still felt as if it was burning. She ran her fingers across it and could feel her jagged bone beneath her skin. She cursed under her breath that she didn't have fast healing abilities like a normal vampire... She muttered a bit and then shrugged her shoulders as she looked around.

Talon swayed back and forth as Delikeesh stepped on the semi-paved road. The horse carelessly pushed its way through the wind and rain while her master scoured the darkness. The wagon wheels creaked every second turn.

"This storm will let up eventually," Talon said to Delikeesh, "just keep following the road." He stood up as he looked at what seemed to be a horse. He reached behind him and grabbed a crossbow that rested on a stand. As he got closer to the horse, a small group of four came into view. One of the party members rested on the back of the horse.

"Hey you there," Talon called out as he came in range of the four, "what are you doing to that one there?" Delikeesh stopped moving as she noticed the group of four.

"Stay where you are," Talon continued as he raised his crossbow aiming at the presumed owner of the horse. He didn't have a clear view of the person on the horse. He couldn't tell if the person was alive.

"What happened to that one there?"

"if you want to live until tommorow you'll put down that crossbow, she's an elf and her ankle's broken, we're taking her back to this mans home before it gets infected." Saedd scowled, the man in the plague mask didn't look pleased, but then again his face was covered, there was no way of telling, "you're an apothecary, correct? If you're concerned it's in your best interest to help us get her to shelter and mend her currently broken ankle... or did you steal that mask from a real doctor?"

"Aren't you a real sight for sore eyes," Talon said, "I could end you right now if I wanted. You though do seem to be in a bit of a situation. This weather has flogged your mind. There aren't any houses out her for miles, I'm currently heading to the closest town that I know of," Talon continued, "as much as I would love to hate you, you are indeed helping someone in need. As an apothecary I relinquish you of your current duties. I'll take this one to my shop." Talon looked at the person talking to him, leaving his crossbow aimed at his chest.

"You may have heard of me," Talon said, "I am Talon Brailan the Undying, also known as Apothecary."

"So what, You're just gunna swoop in and tell us all what to do? I think not, and bird brain, my house is not even a mile up this slope, We can take her there and take care of her sooner if we just head there I have a fire burning now if we dont waste any more time. Oh, and about that whole "undying" part of your name, I can change that real quick. I dont take too kindly to orders." He said starting to get a little angry at everyone changing plans. He rarely got any company anyway and would love the chance to talk to some people. Just for safe measure and a little intimidation reasoning he took his bow in hand and took a wood arrow from the quiver in case the masked man was one of those pesky vamps. "If you dont mind, Im getting wet and would like to go warm up. The sooner we start moving the sooner I can do so, so lets get a move on." after that he stands and stares at the group to see who they decide to follow.

"I can heal her right here right now," Talon said as he jumped from his carriage, "you'd rather travel through the dark to a house that may or may not be there following some possible vampire taking you to his lair? With me, there's shelter from the rain, and I have all the supplies to help her with me... as a proper apothecary would usually have. In sure none of you have actually met a wizard then if you are this ignorant in ones presence. Everyone knows any and all apothecaries are wizards of some variation," Talon continued feeling rather pleased by the seconds outburst, "I'd show you to prove it, but that's just what a vampire monster like you would want. Test my ability to know what you are up against," Talon said practically disappearing as he got closer to the small group. It was a basic trick, but he would soon prove to them that he was in fact someone they'd rather have as a friend then an enemy.

"I've seen things that none of you can ever imagine," he said stopping looking more of an apparition than a solid being, "you can shoot me, but I will also have shot you and unlike many humans, elves, and the occasional dwarf, it will be a lethal shot to you."

"GAH! You piss me off. So what you can disappear? You're probably a vamp under that mask who just uses illusions and really wants to feed off all the easy flesh you can get. Well, If you cant prove that you're not a vamp by taking off your mask and proving it, then count me out. (pause) Hey wait a minute. When did I count myself in? You know what? Fuck it! Im going to warm up. If anyone would like to join me I would adore the company. I dont get much all the way out here. But if you would all rather follow mister mysterious invisibility man that hides his face. Do so. However, Before you leave. I am Vakim Malukavi, I was orphaned when I was young and lived alone ever since! I have nothing to hide because as far as I know I am 100% human and hate those blood suckers enough to come out in this weather hoping to find one and hunt it for fun! GAH! Whatever. I mean, You all seem like sensible people but going with him is obviously not the sensible choice. He is too sketchy but its your problem not mine. Now, Miss, With the broken ankle, I can carry you to my house faster than that carriage can get to the next village. Just let me know if any of you are coming with me." He rants almost without taking a breath. He sheaths his arrow and slings his bow over his back then throws his hands over his head as if to say that he didn't care anymore and that he was going home with or without them.

"shut it!", Saedd placed his sword between the two, "You, wild man, you take us to your house so we can treat her. And you! Apothecary or wizard or whatever you are, this girl needs treatment, his house is closer, so you can come with us and treat her and we won't get in your way, got it... damn, all this trouble over one small girl., Saedd thought for a moment, "you! Elf girl, you caused this mess, what do you want to do!?"

"His house is a mile away," Talon said reappearing at the head of his wagon, "I can work on her right here. Can you not see this mobile home I have! You all can watch, however your longer weapons would have to stay behind or safely stowed away."

"My magic and my potions will heal here ten times over whatever mediocre treatment any of you can do," Talon continued as he turned his focus to the elf girl, "they will stop the infection sure, and when the sun comes out, they'll bring you right back to me... that is under the assumption that this other guy isn't a vampire. Trust me," Talon said putting a hand over his heart, "if I see someone in need. I have to help... with your permission of course. Now it's free, tomorrow it won't be."

"hmm, fine, do what you want, she's in too much pain to make the journey anyway.", Saedd picked up the Elven girl and placed her on the apothecaries' cart, Saedd felt a feeling of responsibility for that girl, he'd only just met her and he's already trying to protect her, what has happened to Saedd, "and don't say that word again if you know what's good for you." "you, wild man, we shall not be going anywhere, when this is done you may shelter us in your home, alright?"

He watches as everything unfolds and comes to terms that its smarter to treat her here anyway. "Alright fine. But Ive got to straighten some things out... First, Im not a goddamn vamp. Second, The name is Vakim, not wild man, thank you. If I house you I expect a little respect coming from an honorable looking figure like yourself. Anyway how about you?" he points to the silent women. "Have somewhere better to be?" he says as he sheaths all his weapons and walking back to the apothecary's cart.

Artemis sighed as everyone argued until she had enough. "That's it everyone. We are here to help her. If we are fighting out here, in the rain I might add, we are possibly making her condition even worse. On top of that, all the noise wont be good for staying hidden. Anything could hear us and know we aren't paying attention. It sets us up for an ambush or even waking wild animals as well." She said looking around to make sure everyone heard her. "If we are going to stay here and fight, I will cast a protection charm...if not then we better get out of here....now if possible." She said as she heard a twig break in the distance. She could not be sure what it was...but anything is possible.

Rena had grown quite annoyed with the commotion going on around her and being treated like a child. She hadn't asked to be injured and draw this kind of attention. As she was abruptly moved from the horse to a wagon, she found her voice. "I've had enough," she said with a stern tone; much louder than would come from someone of her size. "I am not a child." She glanced at Saedd and gave him a smile with a nod. "I greatly appreciate you coming to my aide first, but please do not call me little one." She started speaking to the others. "My name is Rena, I do not care where my ankle is treated; let alone if anyone wants to do it. I would prefer to get out of this damn rain." Though she spoke as if her ankle didn't bother her, she couldn't help noticing it changing colors. She felt pathetic that such a simple injury caused such a mess. The only one she felt had any common sense was the other elven woman with them. She had a sinking feeling about the mystery man who had just now joined them, but she wanted to believe his intentions were true.
