Once upon a time, there was a craftsman who loved his creations very, very much. Down a teeny tiny alley, in a teeny tiny house, he ran a teeny tiny toystore and built toys for all the children, even those without home nor money.
He was not a rich man, but he was a very happy one, as were all the children who played with the toys he built. And they loved them, very, very much.
But a man who gives away all things in charity and kindness is not something you hear about in the news or the record books, and so, as all things in time, the tale of the toymaker faded away into obscurity, just like the toymaker himself.
They say if you love something strongly enough, you can imbue it with a soul. And that is just what happened - for you were created with such love and care that one day you opened your eyes to find yourself alive and well. Once a toy, now a living breathing being. One just beginning to find their way in the wider world.
You find yourself with other living toys in a great mansion, surrounded by beautiful grounds. The only evidence of a human being ever being present here, is a letter left in the foyer. Upon reading it, you find the house has been left to all of you toys in the hope of helping you learn what it means to be alive.
Synopsis: This is a good-hearted, supernatural slice-of-life type roleplay. Just something chill to enjoy. It focuses on delight, magical whimsy and wonder, characters finding themselves and building relationships with each other.
You are a toy that has been imbued with a soul. You have no understanding of what it means to be a human being, and while at the start of the roleplay you may have vague memories of being a toy, those memories are fuzzy and a little far-away-feeling. So, you don't really know the other toys when you start.
You and the other toys have inherited a magical house in which to live together and perhaps to learn what it means to be human and what it means to be a family. The house seems to have a life of it's own, just like you. Rooms appear and dissapear, and the house itself seems to have moods and emotions, sometimes throwing surprise tea parties or even sometimes temper tantrums.
Toys have two forms: their origional "toy form" in which they can shrink down to whatever size they were made origionally and gain physical attributes related to it (e.g. a doll looks like a doll, a teddy bear a bear) and a humanesque form, aka human sized form. Toys have some borderline magical abilities related to what toy they were origionally.

After all, they were very, very special toys.
