Hello to you all you awsome bastards! I am the one and only LORD DEADPOOL! Now as the name implies, this is a location/destination where you can tell every one how you play civ V, how you win it and how you do it with what nation. Keep the b!ching to a minimum or ľll b!ch slap the lot of you.
Now the way I play is the long term game with germany and always try to be the rich guy every one wants to trade with. I would normaly avoid wars as they can be damaging for profits, the only time I do go to war is to get rid of a pest nation thats right next to me, and when I go to war I go all out and try to take as much of the pests territory as I can and if possible total domination of the pest. As for citys, I normaly go for quality over quantity, at most I would have 5 to 7 citys spaced out to take as much land as I can and as many strategic resources as I can then by the end game when I have a constant surplus of cash, I can then just buy me an army, and all along that time I would be makeing friends with military city-states that would give me free units over time

Since I've been playing a lot of Civ V lately I'll bite and show my noobiness :3

I often play as trade nations, like Morocco, who benefit a lot from gold. I find that gold is often my best friend, so I almost always prioritize it :D I also try to keep my science up, as well as culture if possible. Military strength is often my major weakness, so keeping other civs away or as friends is usually my best bet in this case c: I usually remain pretty much neutral throughout the game if possible, avoiding conflict unless its in my favour or I'm defending myself. After enough time, I usually start making so much money I can buy out city states, making them allies and using them to influence world congress, and buying my way into becoming World Leader XD It can sound a little boring, but it's pretty intense at times, though I'm not a super good player. I usually build tall, since it helps with defence and generating money ;)

When going for domination, I'll typically use England or the Celts, since they're both pretty badass with their UUs. I'm not very good with other victory types so I really can't say much except for the fact I have an odd fascination with Spain :P

A strong economy is important whatever style I'm playing, I usually go with a random nation as it forces you to change your gameplay a little.

If I start off too close to someone I'll go for an early war since I know it will have to happen sooner or later and then the tactics depend on the geography really. A larger exposed border with an enemy means I put more into military where a bottle neck city means I only need a few units around.

In the end money wins, you can buy military units when invaded or buildings in peace time. Sometimes I buy settlers early on in the game so my cities can grow.

Religion is one of the best ways to ensure that sort of income if you choose the right bonuses.

I've won domination and cultural victories, never been very good with getting the voted in as world leader though.
