It is the year 20XX. Under the capable hand of humankind, AI has grown from a simple self-learning computer program to a complicated set of algorithms capable of mimicking human life. Robots, now citizens in their own rights, have taken the helm of driving civilisation, and whilst the total singularity has not yet been accomplished, it's getting rather close to doing so.
There is no war. Lifespans reach above and beyond what would be science fiction not a decade ago, and generally people either don't have to work, or work so little it can hardly be called a job. However, the robots have failed to take into account themselves. Robots long since rendered obsolete now have little else to do with their lives, and are attempting to assimilate into human culture.
This is the story of one of them. HAMMND model assault robots haven't been seen in combat since the last war, fifteen years ago. Whilst some have chosen to be scrapped, and others now work as menial lifters, many more live with humans. Humanoid shapes, generally realistic body sizes and no inbuilt aggression simulators or weaponry means that unlike many other robots, they are remarkably human. Despite this, seeing one turn up to a gym and start working out is hardly a usual occurance.
Irredeemable here. This is an RP idea I've had for some time. Essentially, one person would take control of an ex-combat robot, and the other would take control of a human, in a SoL friendship/relationship (no mature stuff though, fade to black is where it's at,) between the pair, in a world that doesn't really need any of them.
