Swashbuckling Musketeers

I will be completely open in the fact that I don't have any central plot line or even goal for a role play; however, I am really looking to see if there are people interested in some type of role play that takes us back to the romantic times of pirates and musketeers. Where kings and queens deal with politics and sex as guards deal with espionage and honor.

Anyone have any thoughts on a role play that could work I would love to start a conversation.

I'm on board however I have questions:

Is this a fictional world or a historical fictional earth?

Either way which countries will be relevant? I want to play a Polish or Balkan Hussar for example or a Russian Cossack.

Ok so you can play as royalty, nobility, a guard or a pirate if I'm getting this right?
