For some reason, you have always wanted to be something more. Your village needed you, but for some reason, you left it. Your yearning of something more than the mundane was naive and impulsive, but it was who you are and you are proud of that fact. Your path led you through the world that you have known for the last eighteen or so years of your life. This world is huge and unexplored, though what is explored is known through the petty Kingdoms that make up the "civilized" portion. But you are not a king or princess. You are on the bottom of the totem pole. Or mostly bottom. But you believe through great effort, luck, or skill you can climb the pole and craft a legacy that is more than mundane. But the life of an adventurer is not so easy.

The gods are not kind to those who are unprepared or cocky! The gods are like a cruel mistress without a much-needed bubble bath.

The world is a large and mostly unexplored place.

For centuries, monsters and demons have been a constant. Goblin hordes shuffle in the darkness like the mythical dwarves once did, spiders skitter within the largest forests and mountains, and birds of prey look for their next meal with a insaitable hunger. But the darkest things are not the monsters that roam the landscape, but rather the corruptable spirit of human and elf alike -- a spirit that demons felt from across the void. All it took was the right amount of desperation from the mages who hid in their fortresses and enclaves from the devouring hordes. Dark magic helped in repelling the monsters who were still picking their teeth from the bones of the dwarves, but ultimately it would create a cycle of consorting with non-primordial magics. Years upon years after the use of dark magic to fell a good portion of the goblinoid population, one mage was possessed by a demon whom would become known as The Demon King.

With the help of a fallen angel (and the advent of holy magics) the Demon King was destroyed and sealed away. Dark magics were outlawed in most petty kingdoms and a rebuilding era would begin. It has been two hundred years since this occured.

In the township of Ilagorn, one chapter of the Adventurer's Guild is doing business as usual. For some reason you appeared at their doorsteps, hungry from adventure. What is your story?

I am not, like, the biggest fan of jerkfaces. So don't be a jerkface! Rules of RPG should be easy to look at. Listen to me, I don't like stomping feet. If people have problem with me or other players, we should compromise and resolve it! But I will ban if people are like goblins and only here to hurt others.

This world is like influenced by Akame Ga Kill and Grimgar and stuff. So you should keep that in mind. There can be hope and naive ideas and stuff, but ultimately the world is kinda rough and tough. So those anime should be considered as a good idea for tone when you are designing your character, their goals, and maybe future events you'd like to see. Other than that, posting should be kinda patient; sometimes posts don't come, but I think maybe once a week will be the rule. I don't want this to be too fast, but also not going to limit posts either.

5 characters. Maybe 6 if I also play a character.

Writing level is casual section. But effort makes the bestest. Word vomit is bad, but good paragraphs aren't! Not a rule but Quin was taught in school that paragraphs should be at least three or four sentences, so use that as a guide! Any other rules and stuff should be in the character sheet. Quality over quantity!

I think that is all?

There are four central classes of the adventurer profession, though there is always room for interpretation. Such things are the fighter, cleric, rogue, and the mage. Interpretations include things like the ranger, assassin, duelist, brawler, wizard, witch, paladin, hunter, and many other things but such things cannot be described to newbie adventurers so we must go with the basics.

Each class is trained through adventurer's guild experts or experience in developing things on their own. One is faster for acquiring new knowledges, but also much more costly. Those who struggle to handle slimes and goblins early on often depend on these experts at the cost of their wealth. Generally though, a newly minted type of person holds at least the fundamentals and a few abilities. I will direct said abilities, though you are free to suggest ideas or even give alternate suggestions. But level one of sorts will be set. That said we should note this story is less about crunch-a-dunch and more about feelings, bonds, trauma, and watnot. Characters will be expected to have a degree of plot armor and I will be very forgiving. But you will maybe get injured and have to deal with that. You might have to deal with PC death, though, so keep in mind that you might have to make new character later in the story.

In addition to class I will ask about the profession your character abandoned and allow you some passive skills to go with what you learned in your old trade. For example, if you were a blacksmith you will be talented in apprenticeship blacksmithing and stuff. I will leave fairly open for creative development! This also includes your childhood heirloom and I will judge sheets on how well people balance class, profession, and backstory.

Oh! Races should be human or elf! Any gender.

You and six others have lived a rough and erratic life. Several weeks ago all of your crimes against the oppressive empire has led to an unfortunate end – or so you thought.

Your capture by imperial agents would ironically lead to your very salvation as you worked together with six total strangers to overtake the interstellar vessel that had been only hours before your transportation to the galaxy's most cruel and devastating prison. With the imperial agents killed by your hands you found yourself with a ship, a crew, and new possibilities. However, try as you could your run of luck was decidedly short. An imperial patrol ship identified something was wrong almost immediately and a violent dogfight led you to crash land on a nearby frontier planet. The ship is in dire need of repairs and you don't see any trace of civilization on the planet. You're lucky you can breathe its air.

Though you don't feel so lucky. And in time, you will see exactly why. The frontier planet of Hades is a violent, dangerous world full of cosmic horrors you could never imagine.

I'm very “rules-lite”. Don't be a jerkface, listen to me if I make a ruling, be patient as I live a very busy life, and communicate.

For my second RP on RPG I've looked at Terraria, Dead Space, and Rimworld to create a sort of cosmic-horror-adventure thing. Characters will be largely anime-influenced, so I expect people to not use realistic faceclaims. Understand that your character in this adventure is a criminal and while that does not define their morals, I will probably insta-decline any lawful good space paladin-types – the inverse also applies, so no evil sadistic baby-eating monsters either. I think a lot of character types can be made from that.

6 (plus me) dedicated player characters. This might mean we have a seven player story or less with me doubling up. I only ask for sticking with the RP.

Would anybody want to play this idea out or should Quin go back to drawing board?
